Our papper defends the position that criminal judgescarry out conventional interpretation, and thereforeconventionality control, taking into account the UnitedNations resolutions where the human right of thecrime victim to access alternative dispute resolutionmechanisms has been recognized, such as mediationor conciliation, so that those involved (victim andaggressor) of the crime of family violence go to therestorative justice centers and if an agreement isreached, it is submitted to the judicial approvalprocedure and at the time it is declared the extinctionof the criminal action.

Said analysis begins with a conceptualreview of mediation in civil cases. As a result, a detailedanalysis of the reform of the registry regulationsis obtained that reveals that certain matters ofrelevance both for the harmonic development of themodifications, as well as, to achieve a more efficientlegal system in this area, are still pendent. The article discusses the opposition between public spaces and spaces of mobility based on the analysis of political performances during demonstrations that took place in the cities of Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, between 2011 and 2014, years that preceded the sporting mega-events in the two cities. From the comparative and quantitative analysis of journalistic news, we identified the role of mobility as a central element in how political agendas were constructed in the local public sphere, regarding the construction of agendas and the creation of a spatiality for the structuring of political repertoires. Results indicate that public spaces of mobility became spaces where order was contested, while mobile practices became performances that aimed to produce ruptures in flows to produce visibility for political agendas. However, we found differences in the use of public spaces in Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, especially in terms of the number of demonstrations, the types of agents and the strategies used in demonstrations. Preliminary results suggest that the opposition between these forms of spatiality is quite fragile in understanding contemporary political manifestations.

The importance of walking seems to have been lost in the frantic pace of contemporary urban everyday life. Functional and fast walks that seek connection prevail over a scarce number of contemplative walks of the public space in which they are immersed. This article shows an investigation on the process of attachment to a daily route in public space in downtown Santiago de Chile, the area with the most density and high-rise constructions in the city. The process is described from a hermeneutical-phenomenological approach and a spatial analysis, identifying the factors that affect the pedestrian's attachment to their daily routes. For this, semi-structured interviews, walking interviews, and visual ethnography were applied. The results of the analysis show that there is no attachment to the daily route in dense environments in the first instance, something that would change when practicing a daily walk between home and work. Aspects of centrality and accessibility begin to be observed, and then an attachment to the act of walking is generated, from which emerges a significance of elements and physical and social characteristics of the public space, which result in an attachment to the route.

Urban studies have developed the notion of public space by putting in tension its normative framework and its practical side. However, less attention has been paid to urban public space as a historical process. This article addresses the formation of public space from a historical perspective in the city of Rosario, Argentina. It seeks to show the open and porous character of public space, beyond its normative and idealized definition. The methodology combines a work of historical data reconstruction, based on a corpus of official and journalistic documents and an ethnographic approach of participant observation in public spaces to capture contemporary processes. The article shows that public spaces are part of an open, complex, and multicausal historical process involving an unstable set of forces, actors, and interests. Likewise, although urban regulation models and social regimes of accumulation may influence urban policies, they do not completely determine the profile of public spaces and the modulations of their social appropriations.

The housing complexes built in the Chilean Great North during the 20th century constitute project and experiential experiences defined by a desert landscape. The study of housing complexes built under the protection of public, private, and mixed institutions, allows us to understand their role in the development and consolidation of the port cities of Arica, Iquique, Tocopilla and Antofagasta. Taking as a case study the housing complex Remodelación El Morro in the city of Iquique, built by the Housing Corporation (CORVI), this article seeks to determine how the urban-architectural characteristics of the housing complexes in these cities contributed to their progress, and in the development of a modernity in the aridity. Through planimetric analysis, the project strategy, and the historical-urban construction based on the bibliographic review, it is possible to begin to determine their role in the city and how they acquire new functions and dimensions until becoming significant examples of modern architecture and collective housing in the country’s far north.

The European building stock is responsible for 36% of greenhouse gas emissions and 40% of energy consumption, and its rehabilitation would reduce consumption by 26%. In addition to the economic benefits of this reduction, such as its incidence in reducing energy poverty, energy efficient homes imply co-benefits in terms of comfort and health of their inhabitants; however, households are not aware of this, which, together with other barriers, discourages obtaining efficient housing. This work seeks to know the importance that households give to the benefits and co-benefits associated with energy efficiency; understand if it is homogeneous among these, and identify its correlation with its sociodemographic characteristics. To do this, a survey is carried out on a sample of households in Barcelona. Through a multivariate analysis, the patterns of relevance given to the different advantages and their statistical association with the sociodemographic characteristics of the households are identified. The results suggest that the importance of these benefits is heterogeneous. Older and higher-income people value more co-benefits such as health, comfort, and environmental conservation, but younger and lower-income people value savings more.
