Resumen
The archaeological excavation of a section of the vegetable garden of Murcia near the city, laid bare in hydraulic andalusíes’ structures, along with several batches of buckets (arcaduz, qâdûs) tudmiríes findings dates from the 10th and late 11th or early 12th century. The discovery of these Islamic structures and ditches on a late Antiquity archaeological context reopened in Murcia the old debate on the possible pre-Arab origin of its irrigation system, leading to different interpretations of its classical background. However, the conclusion of the study of hydraulic structures and stratigraphic analysis and material contexts have refuted that thesis, at least regarding North heredamiento (or Aljufía), and have come to confirm our initial hypothesis that can be synthesized on three main aspects: first, the undoubted Islamic affiliation of the canals and hydraulic structures documented and therefore the irrigation system in northern Murcia heredamiento; after that, the extent of irrigation perimeter of this part of the hydraulic system and its dating in the 10th century; and in the last place, the first al-Andalus’ archaeological identification which we have called aceña of acequia, used to extract water from an irrigation ditch in the open. From the technological point of view we made a brief review of Al-Andalus and current models and its classical antecedent wheel extractor of animal traction, represented in a funerary monument of Kôm el-Dikka (Alexandria, Egypt). Finally, although not the subject of this study, archaeological findings regarding their dating and extension in the North heredamiento allow us indirectly to extend these findings to Murcia’s rest of hydraulics and time of its “foundation”, and raise new hypotheses about its construction process.

Resumen
Within a long time in history, water flows have significantly contributed to the landscape organization as a way of exchange and transport of goods, individuals, ideas and productive and technological traditions. This paper analyzes the role of rivers Ter, Llobregat and Segre concerning the territorial layout of Medieval Catalonia from the production and distribution networks of ceramic manufactures. To do so, preliminary results obtained from microscopic observation (MO) and chemical analysis by means of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) of 400 ceramic samples of utilitarian grey wares from consumption centres. This paper enables us to offer a first approach focused on the identification of occupation patterns, landscape exploitation and manufactures distribution in order to provide updated information, until definite results are available, for a better knowledge of pottery production and the societies that used these products in medieval times.

Resumen
The present article deals with a revision of the analysis of one of the most present material structures in Nasrid rural milieu: the alqueria (farmstead) towers. Assumed until now its characterization as minor structures that were part of the Nasrid defensive system, we now launch a new interpretation proposal trying to understand until which point these constructions were the State’s doing as part of its defensive or territorial control plans, or if, on the contrary, we find ourselves before a bastion of peasant communities self-management, from which it could depart the impetus of its building and use, opposite to other State-controlled spaces.

Resumen
With this title, Manuel Gómez-Moreno in 1913 published an article in which he described, for the first time, the material corpus of a Mozara-bic Archaeology (the one about the non-isla-mized christians in the Iberian Peninsula). After one hundred years, we need a review, from archeology to this time, of the religious ritual objets of the Mozarabic artifact culture.

Resumen
The fortress of Peñalcázar, placed in the Southeast of Soria, was part of the Muslim fortified system of the Marca Media and also was one of the fortified cities in the frontier of Castile and Aragon during the late medieval wars. The character of natural pass, rather than border, explains the historic worry for its control. The article collects all disperse historical data about this fortress to elaborate a discourse. Thus, the importance during all the Middle Ages is understood. This fortress was in use from its probable Muslim foundation since the finish of the Middle Ages. The fortress was an important point in the border in the moment of the first border definition. The study of several piles in the ground in the large plain over the hill that defenses the city and the relationship with the urban net have allowed to notice the hidden plan of the ancient Muslim fortress. The unique conserved rests are part of the city-walls. The comparative and constructive analysis amongst these masonries and other constructive groups reveals that its building was approximately in the 12th and 13th Centuries, but also late repaired. These results change the date commonly accepted.

Resumen
Due to the difficulty for finding references to Cástulo in Geographic Arabic sources, the aim of this article is to show certain information given by an Arab author: al-Qazwīnī (13th century), offering the translation of his text into Spanish, and to this extend, reconsider news given by the corpus of Islamic Geographic authors about Cástulo because, thanks to al-Qazwīnī, we can admit the existence of one Visigothic or Mozarabic sanctuary, probably an hermitage in Cástulo itsef or in its interland.

Resumen
In this paper we show the results of a study on the pottery found at the “Alqueria de la Villeta”, in Monda (Málaga). A village originated during the nasri period, it was inhabitated along the sixteenth century by the mudejar and morisco population, being abandoned definitively in 1572. The importance of this pottery deposit is that displays the transition from the almohad-nasri typologies to castilian influenced ones, including those associated to the morisco culture, changing the ceramic yield.
