The present article begins with a revision of theatrical development in País Valencià during the post-war period, and goes on to focus on the most important writer, Rodolf Sirera, whose production is presented organised in different moments. It finally offers an analysis of the text El verí del teatre as an example of the maturity and transgression of his dramatic discourse.

This book analyzes the whole of Llorenç Villalonga's dramatic production - the relationship between the theatrical plays and the novels, and the classification and study of the dramatic production - following two basic lines: circuit theatre (halfway between comedy and customs and manners scenes, an approach to tragedy, drama and high comedy) and innovative, ground-breaking theatre (the absurdities).

According to Joan Fuster, the Canigó by Jacint Verdaguer is a medieval work in spirit, and totally rooted in old folkloric traditions. This article tries to prove that this is indeed the case by relating Verdaguer's work to the medieval lore on fairies, and to the motif of mortals who are captives in fairyland. It further attempts to show how Verdaguer's over-explaining of tradititonal symbolism could be very useful as a key to the poetic interpretation of more difficult texts such as, for instance, the splendid «romance» of the «infante Arnaldos».

This paper reviews the work of the secretaries and scribes of the Royal Catalan-Aragonese Chancellory, from the time of Peter teh Ceremonious to that of Ferdinand of Aragon. It provides brieg biobliographic information that identifies the beginnings of so-called Catalan-Aragonese Humanism, which cannot be dated before the late 14th century.
