Resumen
A study of the activity and dramatic production in Majorca from the immediate post-war to the present. Starting from the regional theatre, with its exclusively commercial vocation, the author goes on to analyze the attempts of providing theatrical plays with solid cultural bases, by the dignification of the dramatic text and the synchronization with European theatrical trends, as well as by employing the most experimental formulae.

Resumen
It is always useful to set bounds to a semantic field when attempting to discuss lexical transmission. Once our attention is phocused on the names of birds collected by Palmireno in his Vocabulario del Humanista (1569), the influence of Belon, Gesner and specially of Joan B. Agnes becomes evident. On the other hand, it is also evident that the Catalan lexicographer Pere Torra (17th century) used in a rather indiscriminate manner Palmireno's work while assimilating in his Dictionnary words which on the base of their formal and / or their semantic structure can not be considered as Catalan. Some of these words have been nevertheless accepted by 20th century lexicographers.

Resumen
The unpublished Diccionari valencià-castellà by Tomàs Font i Piris is one of the most interesting works of lexicography produced during the 19th century, not only because of its richness (it compiles more than 10.000 entries), but also due to the fact that the words listed offer a rich and representative sample of the Catalan vocabulary used in this linguistic area.

Resumen
As it seems, Catalan does not have a system which, as in the case of related languages (like for instance Occitan boui-abaisso; French tournevire; Spanish muerdehuye), allows to form new nouns by means of assembling two verbal forms of Imperative. Prof. Colón studies some of the few instances where this special construction has been documented in Catalan and he reaches the conclusion that all of them seem to be loans from other languages.

Resumen
As this paper tries to show, the association between the terms Catalan and llemosí, traditionally used in an indiscriminate way when mainly referring to Catalan, was clearly revised and corrected by the middle of the 19th century both in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, but not so in Valencia, where its persistence can be seen as the clear expression of an outstanding form of local particularism vis à vis the raising linguistic Catalanism.

Resumen
Linguistic attitudes shown by the Valencian lexicographers during the 19th century do vary considerably and range from Sanelo and Llombart's very positive views in favour of a standard norm, to the rather uncommitted and more neutral position of Escrig, or the very negative outlook represented by Cabrera.

Resumen
This article studies Sanchis Guarner's Gramàtica Valenciana, trying to assess its relevant contribution, referring not only to the author's ideology and established goal, but also to its historical context and to its Catalan as well as Valencian precedents, like Fabra on one side, and Fullana, Giner and Salvador, on the other.
