Resumen
The work of Francesc de la Torre is positioned in the baroque context, in the junction between linguistic conflict and literary language configuration. Kenneth Brown and Vicent Escartí edit ten unpublished Catalan poems of this author included in a miscellany manuscript. A brief study of the literary atmosphere and the significance of these texts is included.

The aim of this article is to look into the field of the linguistic altitudes of enlightened people, with some notes about the importance of the Castilian language in Valencia in the xviii and xix centuries. It considers particularly teaching methods of this language, expositions of the original lexicography of the age and, in particular, the contribution of the Valencian grammarian Vicent Salvà.

August Rafanell presents and discusses a prosodic controversy that took place in the Acadèmia de Bones Lletres of Barcelona in the later xviii century. The controvers, on interest for the history of orthographic and prosodic issues, demonstrates the acceptance, by some important enlightened men, of the secessionist theses that were imposed in the xviii century on the Valencian people.

The author considers methodological dificulties of many kinds that the study of Catalan literature presents between Baroque and Romanticism; reviews postulates and conclusions of Catalan literary historiography and defines the extent of general reference frameworks, for instance "rococó", locating the discussion in the field of interrelations between literature and the process of linguistic substitution.

This paper is a contribution to the analysis of a group of connective items which caracteristically go with main connectives such as and, but, or... These connective expressions that we call MATISADORS have been included in the category of adverbials as conjunctive adverbs. We study their functioning in the sentence level and also in the text level.

The author studies the singularity of an anonymous Valencian dialogue in the milieu of the Valencian horta of 1634. This is a dialogue text with remarkable dramatic elements, 75 % of it is written in Catalan, and which manifests a strong ideologization and a certain linguistic interest.
