Resumen
As a starting point we take the real needs of the present language users, specially those professionals of linguistic Services, in order to get a clear picture of which of their needs could be satisfied by a general language dictionary and which by a normative dictionary. The vagueness of the concept «normativity» is pointed out and the opinion is expressed that it is not easy to define in a precise way which of the needs mentioned ought to be the subject of normativity. The article concludes with a series of concrete examples which illustrate the concepts presented.

Resumen
The thesis of Jaume Riera i Sans (1991), pretending that the text of the novel Curial e Giielfa contained in this ms. of Madrid's national Library was a modern forgery, kindled a lively controversy. After a thorough study of the handwriting, with special reference to the capital letters, Prof. Gimeno's reaches the conclusion that without the slighest possible doubt this ms. was written during the xvth century.

Resumen
On the basis of a testament until now considered as lost, the author offers new documental evidence on Joan Roís de Corella's date of birth. This new information is particularly relevant at a moment when Corella's influence on writers, like for instance Joanot Martorell, is very much under scrutiny.

Resumen
The expression «valenciana prosa» , used from the XVth century onwards by writers like Roís de Corella, Miquel Peres, Bernardí de Vallmanya, and others, has been interpreted in different and sometimes contradictory ways (Rubió i Lluch, Nicolau d'Olwer, Riquer, Fuster, Coromines, etc). The author of this article considers it to be a mere way of outlining the fact that a given text was written in «lengua valenciana», this is to say in the modality of the Catalan Language used in Valencia, and that does not therefore relate to any specific literary style.

Resumen
The influence of the Royal Chancellery, based in Barcelona, on the creation and evolution, from the xivth c. onwards, of a model of Catalan prose has already been convincingly established. This article offers new evidence of a parallel role played by some professional scribes of Valencia's town Council.
