Resumen
Present subject includes the main conclusions from research, carried out by Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea–University of the Basque Country (ehu–upv) professors from 2003 to 2005. This research was meant to reach the following objectives: to find out the amount of technological equipment enjoyed by basque teenagers, their consumption of different media, examine the teenagers cultural habits and know their level of media literacy.

Historically, it has had preoccupations in order to understand how the mass media are connected with sociopolitical actors, and how the symbolic production process from mass media has a link with the economical, political and sociocultural processes.

Resumen
The 'Ibermedia' program, launched in 1997 on the V Cumbre Iberoamericana de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno, has laid the foundations for future and effective audiovisual collaboration in the region, an effort that could have been much more fruitful had it been designed with better resources and more ambitious aims in mind. Today, a total number of thirteen countries interact through 'Ibermedia', using a multilateral fund scheme in order to promote not only co–productions but also initiatives in sectors such as film distribution, advertising campaigns for concrete films or professional training. This paper will undertake an exhaustive assessment of the program s first functioning years (1998–2007), analysing comments and opinions on 'Ibermedia', as well as making an evaluation of its impact in the region.

Resumen
Deverbal nominalization, understood as the mechanism to make names out of verbs, is a characteristic feature of the journalistic language, especially within the headline's discourse. The high incidence of these forms responds to several factors (mainly pragmatic) that concur on the enunciation, such as the underlying ideology and the linguistic economy. The ideological motivation particularly stands out, since the election of nominal derivatives instead of complete sentences reveals, in many cases, the intention to omit relevant information, like the agent or the circumstances of the referred action.

In Argentina, insecurity has acquired political, mediatic and social relevance, and has been transformed in a recurring topic in political communication. The aim of this paper is to analyze, from a perspective that combines discourse theories approaches with the contributions of political philosophy, the regularities and dispersions present in television spots for election campaigns related to insecurity.

This paper analyzes media convergence between Twitter and television by describing the nature of discursive connections in tweeters’ conversations during a talk show. Using a qualitative methodology, it characterizes real “convergent” tweets. The aim is to collaborate in the research of new transmedia experiences in digital social networks.
