Resumen
En 1912, Margarita Broquedis, la única mujer miembro del equipo de Francia, obtuvo la medalla de oro en los Juegos Olímpicos de Estocolmo. En esa época, el lugar de las mujeres en el deporte y la sociedad era objeto de debate. Aprovechando el centenario de los Juegos Olímpicos de Estocolmo, nos propusimos rescatar las circunstancias de aquella campeona olvidada a partir de las referencias y testimonios aparecidos en la prensa de la época. Margarita Broquedis reivindicó, gracias a su victoria olímpica, un estatus de deportista de alto nivel, adelantando un entrenamiento que desde su visión debía ser igual que el de los hombres. Fue preciso esperar un siglo para que el COI integrara la paridad Hombre/Mujer en su estatus.

Resumen
Este artículo aborda una investigación realizada sobre el programa educativo diseñado por la Fundación Andalucía Olímpica denominado “Olimpismo en la Escuela”, implantado en 55 centros andaluces durante el curso 2011-2012. Mediante cuestionario realizado a los profesores participantes, recabamos información sobre los aspectos positivos así como posibles mejoras de la programación. Los resultados reflejan la gran aceptación del proyecto y la necesidad de introducir recursos tecnológicos para poder continuarlo en próximas ediciones, así como ampliarlo a más población y crear oportunidades de interdisciplinariedad e intercambio entre diferentes centros, agentes educativos, alumnos y familias.

Resumen
Reconstructing the history of the healing practices carried out by women all along the Middle Ages and the Renaissance’s first part is not an easy task, since historians have mostly and regularly informed about a series of clichés that, when accurately examined, do not usually rest on a solid foundation. The only way to prove those clichés invalid is by examining the original resources, reading and interpreting them in their general context and in the most objective way. In this paper we collect some of the most insistently repeated clichés and we expose the efforts made by recent historiography in order to try to place those practices and those women where they really belong in history.

Resumen
This work approaches the theories on female sexuality which the Middle Ages and the Renaissance received from the former scientific tradition. This ancient legacy included issues such as that of the conception of woman as an imperfect man, which by the eighteenth century might have evolved into that of woman as a completely distinctive creature, with an anatomic complexion and erotic behavior different from the male ones.

Resumen
Medieval women are often found in the origin of literary and artistic creations which show the diversity of roles they played in the transmission of knowledge. Some specific works clearly show how these cultivated women were involved in the formative process of young princes and princesses through reading and playing educative and pleasant activities. The chess match in Évrart de Conty’s Livre des Échecs amoureux moralisés was conceived for two players, a young man and a damsel, a full protagonist who must have acquired the same proficiency and skills as the task at hand demands from her rival. Both characters are nourished by the didactic and encyclopedic texts which comprised the whole knowledge of their times.

Resumen
My aim is to know the representation of musical practice by women in the main cultural models addressed to the nobility and bourgeoisie. Firstly, I begin studying Juan Luis Vives’ thought on the morality of music as expressed in his Treatise on the Education of Women (1524). There is a radical difference between the Latin and the Spanish editions, as the latter were the only ones to ban the feminine practice of music. Secondly, I compare the model of Vives and the one proposed in Il Cortegiano (1528). Even though neither Vives’ nor Castiglione’s treatises took into consideration all the contexts where women made or listened to music in the Renaissance, studying two works of such an extraordinary diffusion proves particularly revealing about the musical activity of women.

Resumen
Despite the fact that for centuries women have occupied the hidden side of history, due to multiple reasons —some of them of historiographical nature—, their active and wide participation in different scopes of politics during the Middle Ages is nowadays undeniable. This reality can be perfectly applied to the women belonging to the Nasrid dynasty, who were consequently veiled in the Arabic chronicles due to both their condition of sultanas and Muslim women. However, their existences, identities, and political activities have emerged in a number of scattered news that prove the crucial influence they exerted in the Nasrid politics throughout the three centuries the Kingdom of Granada lasted.
