During the course of Statistics in Social Sciences, negative feelings arise that generate a lack of interest on the part of the students, making it difficult to complete the subject. The research seeks to promote the permanence and completion of a group of students who studied this curricular space in the year 2023, starting with the implementation of group tutoring among peers as a strategy that contributes to the development of statistical resilience and the collective agency, within the framework of the Bachelor in Psychopedagogy. It was worked under a mixed descriptive design, 40 students from Argentina participated. The data were collected using various instruments. The results show the importance of accompanying students» trajectories throughout the subject by encouraging peer-to-peer work and achieving the ability to cope with adverse situations to finish the subject.

Studying teachers' beliefs is important because they are constructs that influence teaching practice and evaluating them allows us to understand how they can be improved. The objective was to identify beliefs about mathematics, its teaching and learning, and to analyze the relationship between the three variables involved. A quantitative methodological design with non-probabilistic convenience sampling was used. The instrument was applied to 199 mathematics teachers and obtained a Cronbach's alpha of 0.803. The results indicated that teachers tend to have platonist (less adequate) and problem-solving (more adequate) beliefs and that there is a moderate association between the three variables evaluated, which could indicate that there is a coherence between teachers' beliefs both in what they know about mathematics and in its teaching and learning.

Student learning styles and gamification benefit academic performance. This case study aimed to identify the language learning experiences of students with different learning styles in a gamified learning class. Nine participants between 19 and 32 years old were interviewed in an English II semi-school course at the Faculty of Administration of a higher education institution in central Mexico. The results indicated a high preference for the visual and dependent styles, positive perceptions towards gamification, a change of attitude towards learning English, and improvement in vocabulary, listening comprehension, and pronunciation. It is concluded that gamification and students' learning styles increase their inclination to learn English.

An analysis of artificial intelligence and how it can trigger effects in the university context is presented. For this study, a qualitative perspective is assumed including Grounded Theory to generate a theory that helps to understand the analyzed process. The axial coding allowed orienting the points of analysis from pedagogy, university practice and technoethics, concluding that the implications of artificial intelligence in the university are diverse and that it is necessary to advance towards a training model that, from the critical analysis, can ensure the transition from digital literacy to digital culture.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the appreciation of self-assessment by teachers and its relationship with the self-regulation processes of students. The methodology addressed is a non-experimental design, with a mixed approach and correlational descriptive level, using a synthetic analytical method. , with a survey technique and a review of advances in the field of formative evaluation in five educational institutions of the sixth grade of secondary education, located in the cities of Pasto, Manizales, Bogotá, Villavicencio and the municipality of Talaigua, Bolívar in the school year 2023. The results indicate that teachers have limited knowledge about assessment methods, students lack awareness of self-regulation, and there are no incentives for self-assessment. It is concluded that it is essential to work in the classroom to improve the understanding and periodic application of self-assessment and self-regulation, establishing clear and agreed upon criteria.

This paper presents a review of scholarly work on social class identities (SCI) in second and foreign language (S/FL) educational contexts. Of the 94 studies identified, 31 were annotated. Thematic analysis was employed to identify trends elucidating where, what, and how SCI has been conceptualized, theorized, and methodologically designed. Inclusion criteria focused on SCI research in S/FL contexts, while studies examining SCI outside educational settings were excluded. Results indicate a slow-growing interest in SCI and critical theory, with a Europe-Western dominance. SCI has been approached as: a fixed category based on socioeconomic status determining educational and L2 learning factors; a performed sociocultural phenomenon grounded in individuals lived experiences; a process experienced by study-abroad and migrant individuals; and as an element of colonial difference. Research gaps include SCI examination in EFL contexts and from decolonial perspectives, highlighting the need for political action to subvert social inequalities and address colonial wounds related to socioeconomic issues.

Today's education must encourage students to develop adequate scientific literacy that will enable them to learn how to solve specific problems. In this sense, this research evaluates the scientific competencies of natural science teachers at the secondary level, belonging to the educational district 06-03 of Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. The evaluation process is carried out through the application of a semi-structured interview and a questionnaire, reconstructed by the researcher, using as a basis the Test validated by Kazeni (2005) and some items released from the PISA test. As a general conclusion, teachers reflect low levels of proficiency in all the competencies evaluated, so it is recommended to strengthen the scientific competencies of natural science teachers and innovate the didactic methodologies implemented.

Objective: Identify the pathogens isolated in patients with peritoneal dialysis catheter at the Francisco E. Moscoso Puello Teaching Hospital in Santo Domingo, June 2017 - June 2019. Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional study with a retrospective projection was conducted, consisting of a sample of 32 patient records. The data obtained were analyzed with the Epi-info 7.0 software. Results: The most frequently isolated pathogens were Staphylococcus aureus, representing 50%15 of the positive cultures, followed by Escherichia Coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, both forming 12.5%4 of the positive cultures each. In terms of the most affected age groups, we observed that those with the highest frequency of cases are 60-69 years old. Conclusion: The investigation identified several pathogens associated with the peritoneal dialysis catheter, among which Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa stand out. Staphylococcus aureus was the most common in both sexes and the most frequent in patients from 1 to 3 years old. This same agent, along with Escherichia coli and others, were responsible for recurrences. It was found that all patients used continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis and all the identified pathogens were isolated in this therapy.

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a progressive condition characterized by structural and functional abnormalities in the kidneys that persist for at least 3 months and are not reversible. With a global prevalence of 11% to 13% and 11% in Peru, CKD is a silent disease that can lead to complications such as anemia due to the shortened lifespan of red blood cells, alterations in iron metabolism, and reduced erythropoietin. The use of sodium-glucose cotransporter type 2 inhibitors (SGLT2 inhibitors) has sparked interest in CKD management. Studies such as DAPA-CKD and EMPA-KIDNEY have shown that SGLT2 inhibitors improve renal and cardiovascular parameters, increasing hemoglobin levels by 0.6 g/dl. This effect is attributed to improved erythropoiesis and efficient iron utilization through hepcidin reduction. Additionally, these inhibitors reduce oxidative stress and improve nitric oxide availability, contributing to hemoglobin increase. In summary, SGLT2 inhibitors are a promising treatment for CKD patients due to their nephroprotective and cardiovascular effects, as well as their ability to increase hemoglobin levels, helping to reduce complications and improve patients' quality of life.
