Resumen
In this research article, the authors carry out a historical-legal study of the main agrarian public policies enacted by the Costa Rican State from 1821 to the present. The analysis is carried out through the study of the main legal norms of different rank issued by the State, seeking to determine ends and objetives and interests of the different sectors of society of each era. Additionally, the effects and impact of these policies on the agrarian and rural reality of the country are evaluated. The conclusions summarize some of main lessons that the country has learned or should attend to from the road traveled 200 years after independence and some future trends.

Resumen
This article presents a detailed account and analysis on the path that the figure of History of Law has presented in Costa Rica from the nineteenth century to the present day, explaining the various characters, dates, bibliographies, institutions and other circumstances that have been associated to this intellectual matter in general and at the university particularly. In this sense, special emphasis is placed on the explanation of different concepts related to this specific branch of history, as well as on its literary development, all this together with the description of the contexts where the most important works that the most outstanding doctrinal representatives have published on this subject.

Resumen
El presente es un artículo que desarrolla la evolución histórica del Derecho Comercial. Se empieza con los antecedentes jurídicos de antes de la Independencia de 1821, luego el desarrollo normativo comercial posterior a la Independencia, llegando a los antecedentes del Código de Comercio de 1964, la normativa de este cuerpo normativo y su evolución a la actualidad. Las reformas más importantes que ha reformado y derogado artículos del Código de Comercio vigente, y la proyección de lo que se necesita en su futuro desarrollo.

El trabajo aborda los motivos que dan origen a los procesos de integración y sus presupuestos básicos. Enfoca la necesidad de fortalecer la integración centroamericana, a partir del respeto al Estado regional y democrático de derecho, la tutela de los derechos humanos, la libertad y el desarrollo sostenible, para evitar una crisis profunda en la región. Propone la consolidación de la integración y el derecho comunitario como Política de Estado, para mantener la paz.

Resumen
This article refers to the possible solutions to the problem that there are many contracts that did not foresee the contingency of the disappearance of the LIBOR rate. This is what is called an Arising Contractual Loophole (on the reference rate). The possibility that the LIBOR rate will cease to be published in the future poses a problem at the contractual level for those credit contracts, the interest rate of which is referenced to the LIBOR rate, and do not have an alternative rate foreseen in the event that, for reasons beyond the parties’ control, it is not possible to use the LIBOR rate.

Resumen
The objective of this paper is to research and analyze the interpretation and application of the principle of immediacy in criminal matters, based on the study of some judgments issued by courts of justice of Mexico, Colombia and Chile, which we have chosen. Therefore, we will use the comparative method to understand the doctrinal, constitutional, legal and jurisprudential experience of the aforementioned principle in those specific cases, to find out if there have uniform criteria in those interpretations and applications of the immediacy principle.

Resumen
A process is fair if an independent and impartial court judges the case before it, although in practice this is not always the case. This essay analyzes the case of Poland and explains how its history has affected the principle of judicial independence. The position of the Polish Constitutional Court against the different resolutions issued by the Court of Justice of the European Union is exposed and criticized, which has caused an increase in tension between these courts and the questioning of whether Poland will continue to be a member of the European Union.

Resumen
Los tipos penales del robo simple con violencia sobre las personas y su modalidad agravada comparten elementos comunes con el tipo penal de la extorsión, lo que podría llevar a confusiones prácticas en su aplicación, cuando en la realidad se trata de figuras absolutamente independientes entre sí, lo que puede derivarse claramente de la estructura misma de los tipos penales.
