Resumen
This article presents the results of the case study of six beauty and fashion brands that operate in Spain and have supported the Pink Ribbon cause, which is dedicated to support breast cancer research, prevention and treatment. The support of these brands to the Pink Ribbon cause is part of their respective corporate social responsibility policies. The results show that these brands are socially committed but that the management of their corporate social initiatives does not seem to be consolidated and lacks a long-term strategic plan.

Resumen
The following article focuses on the analysis of the advertising industry (mostly composed of SMEs) in Castille and Leon and, specifically, in Valladolid. Communication and Advertising industry are defined, as well as the typology of companies which offer these services and, finally, the attitude and behaviour of SMEs towards those companies. As methodology, a quantitative research is developed, specifically, it is used the self-administered questionnaire survey. Some of the most relevant foundings are: food industry is the sector with the largest investment in advertising, the professionals who work in the analyzed advertising sector own specific studies and, finally, Internet is the most requested media by SMEs.

Resumen
The point of view hereby shown tries to prove the internal compatibility and the way to solve both the doctrinal and professional commitments faced by a Christian journalist. Actual cases that have been discussed in pre-doctoral seminars are analyzed. The system used in the argument it comes from a general theory of interpretation specifically applied to journalistic texts. The formula proposed is based on the acceptance of the idea that any statement of a truth is referred to a context. And, if the context of “transcendental” is accepted, one must be coherent with this context. However, this consequence should not affect the rules of creation and construction of the journalistic text. This paper is aimed at explaining the conditions to be fulfilled to guarantee that the truth in the interpretative context should be compatible with the truth in the informative text and vice versa.

Resumen
The main aim of this scientific essay is to present an overview about “media frames”, and to question the link between media discourse and quotidian reality. Firstly, we explain some key scientific concepts and we refer to relevant literature about ontological basics of quotidian reality. Secondly, we put into consideration, the subjective, communicative and narrative condition of reality, sometimes undervalued by some theories. Thirdly, we analyse the incidence of the media discourse in the construction of reality. Fourthly, we underlined the scope of “media frames”, both in the configuration (creation) and in the refiguration (reception) of media narratives. The general conclusion we have reached is that this field of study still raises interesting challenges and questions that should be investigated.

Resumen
The article proposes a theoretical approach for understanding the transformation of the modern elite sport due to the influence of mass media and, more precisely, examines the so–called commodification process that in the last decades has turned sport into a commodity ready for global consumption. In order to assess the framework, the work identifies the relationship between three main actors: sporting institutions, media and fans. The author reflects on the downsides derived from the model while ascertains the singularity of the sport as commodity–half lucrative good, half sentiment.

Resumen
Basado en un estudio de caso en Argentina central, esta investigación formula conceptualizaciones tendientes a comprender las estrategias de apropiación del agua rural; asimismo, analiza cómo las recientes transformaciones socioproductivas influyen en su apropiación y, finalmente, discute sus probables consecuencias sociales. Los resultados sugieren que el avance de la expansión del capitalismo agrario debilita la autonomía de los campesinos y pobladores pobres para acceder al agua con fines de consumo humano o productivo. Esto consolida la posición subordinada de los pobres rurales y la inequidad estructural de estos territorios, aumentando su vulnerabilidad ante prácticas clientelares. Por su parte, los productores capitalizados son más exitosos al apropiarse del agua rural.

Resumen
Se analiza el desarrollo agropecuario de La Peñuela, un pueblo de alta montaña perteneciente al Parque Nacional Nevado de Toluca. El acercamiento metodológico se basó en la Etnohistoria, la cual nos permitió identificar el proceso histórico de las actividades agropecuarias y su influencia en otros recursos como los forestales. Se emplearon herramientas de investigación participativa, como las entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los resultados sugieren que los cambios en las ac-tividades agropecuarias han influido en el manejo de los recursos forestales maderables y no maderables desde la fundación de la comunidad, así como la disponibilidad del agua para la subsistencia.

Resumen
Los tipos de empleo rural no agrario y agrario no rural entrañan combinaciones de lugares de residencia y trabajo que se han vuelto relativamente frecuentes en Latinoamérica. En este artículo se argumenta que la población rural con mayores oportunidades de empleo no agrario es la que radica próxima a las grandes áreas urbanas, y que los centros poblados resultan tanto más atractivos como residencia de la población con empleo agrario de las zonas, cuanto más concentrada está en ellos la población total. Esta hipótesis se confirma mediante un estudio de caso en la microrregión Rosario, en la pampa argentina.
