Introduction: This paper examines the intersections of tango, both as a musical production and a symbolic expression, with feminism and women and sexgeneric dissidents’ fight for their rights. Objective: From a Sociology of Culture approach, this study explores working practices and the production of new narratives within groups composed exclusively of women and dissidents. Methods: The methodological approach is qualitative-interpretative, consisting of in-depth interviews with leaders of musical groups, non-participant observations of their live performances, and the analysis of a corpus of tango lyrics. Results: The paper highlights various strategies aimed at intervening tango through new practices, forms of work and organization, and discourses, the new narratives produced. Through collective working methods, together with new lyrics and themes, these groups challenge, in diverse and creative ways, the patriarchal conventions that tango has canonized throughout its history. Conclusions: It was concluded that the new practices and discourses in tango, promoted by women and dissidents, challenge the hierarchical structures and create spaces of safety and belonging. These practices also reshape artistic production by incorporating themes that dismantle gender stereotypes and introduce new expressive forms across a variety of topics.

Introduction: Cultural traits of the Olmec remain unknown due to their early appearance, the deterioration of their remains, and the limited presence of written records. Their social and economic organization has been inferred through Archaeology. Objective: Our central question investigates the narrative surrounding Olmec monumental art, specifically its thrones and colossal heads, since they responded not only to aesthetic interests, but also to religion and politics. Methods: In the introduction, we raise concepts such as long duration and power, essential to support our dissertation. We also present some data about the archaeological Olmecs, a conceptual framework for the analysis of the creations of thes epeople, where art is the vehicle that, throughout time and space, has communicated ancient civilizations with the present. Results: Art, as a means of communication, allows us to see and pose historical facts. Conclusions: Power is presented as a long, ideological performance whose aims range from legitimizing a governor to the arrival of those who overthrew him to leave a lasting message or to erase it.

Introduction: The Anthropology of Music focuses on understanding the impact and function of music in society, exploring its production, transmission, and impact. Objective: This paper seeks to present some of the contributions made to the study of music from an anthropological perspective in Costa Rica. Methods: A bibliographic research of academic texts written in the field of Anthropology that focused on the study of music was carried out. From this review, the texts were categorized, and points in common between the research were identified in order to deepen some methodological and thematic approaches made from these texts. Results: In total, 27 academic texts were analyzed, with an equal production between sexes and a peak of publications between 2000 and 2019. The papers focused on their contributions to the topic of musical genres (ska, reggae, rock, metal, punk, etc.), the low participation of women, and their concentration in the Huetar Atlantic and Central Region of the country. Conclusions: The diversity of thematic as well as methodological approaches (especially from ethnography) evidenced that music has not only an artistic but also a social and cultural impact, which allows the duplication of particular and symbolic dynamics.

In this interview, Michael Finseth uses his experiences to tell how he came to be introduced to the world of acting; especially, in the series Mil oficios (2001-2003). On this occasion, the Peruvian actor is very detailed when recalling some anecdotes with the casting, recording and related work process that he did when starring as the character Memo, such as participating in circuses and nationwide tours with the entire cast of the series. All this intense work would only reveal that the program itself captivated the audience at that time, so much so that some typical phrases of the characters and some characterizations remained in memory. Likewise, it is interesting how Finseth is grateful for the learning he received from all the actors who collaborated there and how he explains the evolution of the character he starred in, who would be distinguished by having multiple nuances: comic, romantic, serious, witty, etc. In short, this conversation is transcendental because it is possible to know what the actor’s experiences were and how it was possible to establish in Peru a prototype of a comedy soap opera that to this day remains in many of the country’s television programs.

Although all kinds of fruit are harvested in the village of Frutal, it is not well-received to eat them. No one opens the door for anyone, and helping others is even more unthinkable. Fear and unease permeate the atmosphere. As Hernán from the mango farm, a well-known leader in the community, seeks help to escape, he encounters barriers at the Papayal, the Piñada, the Guayabal, the Mandarino, La Chonta, the Guanábanos, and the Aguacate farms. Silence reigns there, and, while some may want to take action, their own self-interest weighs heavier than the well-being of others. Hernán’s journey, along with his family, begins to stir memories, dusting off the decaying shells of Frutal’s past. They unravel and reveal the secrets that haunt this beautiful place, much like many other locations in Latin America. Amidst the picturesque still life, the fruit smells sweet, but it is surrounded by flies.

Introduction: In Western culture, the so-called primitivism is a central concept in Eurocentrism. In this reflection, the transformations of primitivism in both Europe and American cultures are analyzed to understand the traces of Eurocentrism in the visual arts. Development: By comprehending the twists and turns of primitivism, which we depict as a journey, we recognized the limits and contradictions of Eurocentrism replicated on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Conclusion: Identifying this journey of primitivism as a Eurocentric concept allows to expand the discussion on the relationship of the Same and the Other, allowing the transformation of old paradigms.

This article examines the impacts of the Decrees No. 5707/2006 and No. 9991/2019 on People Management (PM) in Brazilian federal universities. The research was conducted at the Federal University of Fronteira Sul, the Federal University of Santa Catarina and the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. Data collection involved document research and interviews, which were studied through discourse analysis. Findings show that while Competency-based Management is being implemented, challenges and resistance to change remain. It was identified that PM modernization can bring benefits and benefits and valorization of servers. The main gap observed is the need for studies that deepen the analysis of the impacts of decrees. As a contribution to the literature, it is intended to provide empirical information to enable the modernization of PM in Brazilian federal universities.

This article aims to identify the characteristics of various methods for drafting family protocols in family businesses, as proposed by different authors. A narrative literature review was conducted, consulting four academic databases, two specialized sources, and a physical library. Seventeen works were identified, with six being included in this review. It is observed that the methods consistently begin with a diagnostic phase, which is the primary focus of this analysis. The subsecuent phases vary in number, content, participants, and tools. Although the issues addressed are similar, the methods vary in terms of their depth and treatment. Therefore, the diagnostic phase is recognized as necessary and relevant for both the family and the consultant. A proposal is made for the recognition of the state of the family-business-heritage system as part of the approach to protocolization

Management Sciences have been historically associated with the functioning of companies. Undergraduate and master's programs are generally associated with professional training. However, management is more than a technical discipline; it can contribute to knowledge production. In this regard, two objectives were proposed: a) to analyze the context of research training in undergraduate and master’s programs in management sciences in Mexico, and b) to develop a theoretical stance on the factors influencing trends that affect research training in this field. A qualitative systematic literature review was carried out to identify findings and theoretical positions relevant to the topic. Article selection was based on two criteria: relevance to the field of management and content quality, based on the relevance of the data presented. This process was complemented by a narrative-style qualitative content analysis, which did not involve a coding process for the construction of theoretical arguments. The study found that research training is influenced by factors both internal and external to universities, particularly the demands of stakeholders and the scientific and theoretical conceptualization of management. These factors contribute to prioritization of technical-professional training over a more comprehensive education within the field, in response to the demands of the economy.

Digital marketing has become increasingly relevant in municipal governance, especially through the use of social networks (Solito et al. 2020; Alderete, 2022). This study aims to analyze the adoption, dissemination and use of the five most popular social networks in Argentina in 2023 (Kemp, 2023): WhatsApp, X, Tik Tok, Facebook and Instagram as digital marketing tools in the municipalities of Buenos Aires. An exploratory quantitative study was conducted based on systematic observation between July and August 2023. First, territorial variables were compiled, and the presence of these five networks on municipal websites was examined. Second, data on the adoption and activity of official municipal profiles on Facebook and Instagram were collected. The findings indicate that Facebook has the largest number of followers and daily activity. However, Instagram shows greater public engagement, interaction and user participation. Additionally, demographic factors correlate with social networks usage, underscoring the importance of tailoring digital marketing strategies to each local context.
