Resumen
Gastrochilus pechei was recently documented in Vijoynagar, Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh, India. Identification was based on the spathulate sepals and petals; the acute, sub-triangular, slightly irregularly erose margin of the epichile with a central cushion, and the subglobose hypochile. The species belongs to the section Brachycaules. This report represents a new distribution record for India. An updated description and detailed photographs based on Indian material are provided

Resumen
In Peru, Chloraea previously included five species. However, recent field explorations and herbarium specimen revisions have led to the discovery of a new species from northern Peru. Here, we describe and illustrate Chloraea aequatorialis, the species with the most northern distribution recorded for the genus, ranging from 5º50’ to 7º56’ S. The new species closely resembles C. septentrionalis, with which it grows partially in sympatry in the departments of Cajamarca and La Libertad, but it can be easily distinguished by its larger sepals and petals, a lip disc covered by thin, narrow, and long appendages, a longer lip claw, column, and anther, and a shorter stigma. We provide information on the habitat, distribution, and conservation status of the new species, along with an updated description of C. septentrionalis and a key to the Peruvian species of Chloraea.

Resumen
The economic success of East Asian countries has been linked to their capacity to attract Foreign Direct Investment. In a globalized world in which FDI plays a decisive role in the development and modernization process of a country, as has been seen in the Asian case, it is worth wondering about the causes that explain the attraction of FDI to a country. This paper analyzes the impact of economic freedom and institutional quality on a country's ability to attract FDI. Based on the indexes provided by Heritage Foundation and the World Bank, new synthetic indexes are constructed for each variable and their impact on inward FDI is tested for a sample of 187 countries and territories using panel data estimation. The results show the importance of economic policy, and not merely institutional, in the economic success of countries

Resumen
We analyze the impact of interest rate changes and derivatives maturity announcements on exchange rate volatility in Mexico. To do so, we first estimate volatility using four measures of range volatility (OCLH models) and three extensions of the GARCH family (GARCH, TARCH and EGARCH), assuming normal distribution, t-Student and GED. Once volatilities are estimated, the impact of monetary policy announcements and derivatives maturity on the MexDer is estimated using daily closing, opening, high, and low data during the period January/2013-April/2024. The results show that range volatility measures underestimate exchange rate volatility. Apparently, derivatives maturities and monetary policy announcements have a negative effect on range/intraday volatilities, but not on the conditional volatility that contemplates persistence and asymmetry in volatility.

Resumen
Institutional analysis seeks to contribute to the construction of more comprehensive theories of social organization, recognizing the diversity and complexity of human interactions. It represents an aspiration to develop an integrative approach and constitutes the central guiding principle of this book. Institutions, Governance, and Economy responds to the need to disseminate tools for understanding and addressing collective governance problems, which have become more acute in our present era of underprovision of public goods, environmental deterioration, weakened communities, and political polarization. Adding to these challenges are the urgent demands of Latin America and the Caribbean, hindered by persistent economic inequality and a weak State. The book gathers the main concepts and institutionalist analyses, and it brings a variety of authors into dialogue whenever possible. It also offers analytical instruments to formulate and solve research and public policy issues related to the socioeconomic development of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Resumen
From an economic perspective, the problems associated with production require a model for its estimation. These estimations are typically made using the Cobb-Douglas production function, which is derived from least-squares adjustment. However, several authors have proposed alternative methods for calculating production based on the relationship between economic and thermodynamic problems. Our study provides a method for calculating the production function through entropy, which explicitly considers the contributions of labor and capital. In this way, we apply the model to the data presented in the Cobb-Douglas study on the production of the manufacturing sector in the United States. Our results accurately describe the production data, highlight the need to estimate the Boltzmann constant in the economic model, and provide a method for determining its value

Resumen
The rejection that Keynes does about the second classical postulate explains the asymmetry between entrepreneurs and workers in the determination of the level of employment. This leads to the possibility of equilibrium, in goods and bonds markets, with involuntary unemployment. This is consistent with the idea that unemployment is a normal phenomenon in frictionless market economies. We assume that this opposition to the traditional theory is the essence of the message that Keynes seeks to give in the General Theory. By means of a walrasian general equilibrium model we argue that the rejection of the second postulate is not sufficient to have as a result an equilibrium with excess supply of labor. It is necessary to assume that labor and money have a different theoretical status from commodities. Such conditions imply a change in approaching wage flexibility and its relationship with economic policy. More precisely, it is broken the link between wage flexibility and laissez faire laissez passer’s policy.

Resumen
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to show that the marginal capital-output ratio in Harrod’s equation is explained by the growth rate of aggregate demand, and that this ratio, in turn, defines the economic growth rate of countries. To test these hypotheses, data from the Penn World Table PWT 10.0 was used, selecting 118 countries with complete information from 2000 to 2019. The estimation method employed was panel data with fixed effects. The conclusion reached is that the elasticity of the marginal capital-output ratio with respect to demand growth is unitary, as is the elasticity of economic growth with respect to investment efficiency.

Resumen
This editorial analyzes the collapse of the natural gas subsidy scheme in Colombia, whose fiscal burden grew by 642% between 2005 and 2024. The crisis rests on two pillars: the financial one, aggravated by costly gas imports , and the deep social inequity of its design. The current stratification system is anachronistic and creates "inclusion errors," as about 81% of subsidies benefit non-poor households. Although transitioning to a direct targeting model via Sisbén is an urgent solution proposed in the National Development Plan , the author argues it is an intermediate step. The strategic debate should focus on a deeper transformation: a residential energy transition that replaces fossil fuels with clean technologies , aiming for a policy that is fiscally sustainable and socially just.

Resumen
The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Facilities Management (FM) has grown significantly, driven by the pursuit of resource optimization, automation, and operational efficiency. However, specialized literature remains in an early stage, hindering a comprehensive understanding of the Critical Success Factors (CSFs) that influence the adoption of this technology in the sector. To address this gap, this study conducts a Second-Order Systematic Review (SOSR) to identify and consolidate the main CSFs associated with the adoption of AI in FM. The analysis is grounded in a conceptual model based on the TOEH theoretical framework (Technology–Organization–Environment–Human), which enables a multidimensional reading of both facilitators and barriers. Key challenges include system interoperability, data quality, the reliability of AI models, and building typology diversity, issues exacerbated by technological fragmentation and a lack of standardization, which hinder integrated solutions. Regulatory concerns regarding data privacy and governance, combined with limited workforce training, further hinder large-scale adoption. Conversely, innovations such as digital twins, explainable AI, robotics, and cybersecurity for smart buildings emerge as drivers of transformation. The findings provide valuable insights for FM managers, technology providers, and policymakers, contributing to the development of effective strategies for integrating AI in the Facilities Management sector.
