Abstract Questions of mobility and networks have become increasingly relevant to issues behind the circulation of musicians and musical repertories, with greater emphasis on, for example, diplomatic channels  of  transmission  and  exchange,  and  the  diffusion  of  printed  music  through  book  fairs  and  along  trade  routes.  Movement  of  bodies  —composers  and  musicians—  and  movement  of  material  objects  —such  as  music  books  or  musical  instruments—  generally  provide  the  focus  of  mobility and networking in historical studies of music. In this brief article, I raise the possibility of a different perspective, arguing that if, as in Sound Studies, the symbiotic relationship between sound  and  acoustic  space  is  taken  into  consideration  as  what  might  be  termed  an  immaterial  object, it may prove possible to develop a more hermeneutical approach to the circulation of sound in  the  city,  and  to  afford  a  starting-point  for  writing  a  connected  history  on  its  meaning  and  impact. There are various ways in which sound circulated through the city —through town and trade  cries  or  the  instrumentally  accompanied  songs  of  beggars  and  itinerant  minstrels—  and  spilled  out  into  the  streets  from  barbershops  and  music-making  in  the  domestic  sphere,  but  the  urban procession created a performative flow that lent impact and meaning to the sounds heard, often en passant, by those within ear-shot of the specific acoustic territory outlined by the processional circuit. Processions of many different kinds —from the ceremonial magnificence of Corpus Christi  to  the  chanting  of  small-scale,  local  funerary  cortèges—  were  daily  events,  and  brought  the sounds of urban ceremony to the doorstep. I suggest that through in-depth, sonically informed local  histories,  it  should  prove  possible  to  make  comparisons  between  different  cities,  including  those  in  different  geographical  regions  and  confessional  domains,  and  to  approach  a  connected  history  written  from  the  bottom  up  in  the  context  of  everyday,  deeply  habituated  practices. Introduction: Diabetes promotes impaired neutrophil function and deposition in periodontal tissues of end products derived from advanced glycolization. The refore, diabetics are vulnerable to chronic inflammatory periodontal disease. Studying their behavior is essential to undertake comprehensive and effective actions for their control and treatment. Objective: To determine the behavior of chronic inflammatory periodontal disease in patients of the Comprehensive Care Consultation for Diabetic Patients in the Municipality of Santa Cruz del Sur. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out, in the period from September 2018 to May 2019, in which 60 patients who were attended during this period were included, they had more than 10 teeth in the mouth with chronic inflammatory periodontal disease and gave their consent to participate. A periodontal clinical examination and periapical radiographic examination were performed. Results: The largest number of patients with periodontal disease were 41-60 years old, female sex predominated, in both variables advanced chronic periodontitis prevailed, also preponderant in patients with more than 10 years of suffering from diabetes mellitus. Conclusions: Advanced chronic periodontitis prevailed in patients with inadequate metabolic control, followed by moderate. Introduction: The systemic procedural educational model acquires a particular significance due to the fact that it offers a promotion and education for health to the elderly in prison conditions, of higher quality, more practice, and also contributes to the strengthening of the human resources that participate in it. Objective: To design a systemic-procedural educational model for the elderly to promote oral health in the Cuban prison context. Results: A development study was carried out in the Medical Services of the Ministry of the Interior, for the design of an educational model of systemic-procedural oral health of the elderly in the prison context. The non-probabilistic sample according to the authors' criteria was made up of 33 articles published in biomedical databases (Pubmed, Cumed, Lilacs, ClinicalKey, SciELO). The educational strategy model contributed to the conservation of the oral health of the elderly prisoner, making them take care of and value their health through the assimilation, internalization and practice of healthy behaviors. Conclusions: With the model, the details and unavoidable circumstances are instituted for the improvement of the promotion and health education of the incarcerated older adult, based on a systematic procedural integration between its components, in which they assume a different role as a dynamic subject of their own health education. Introduction: In the prevention of COVID-19, active search of the population is key, this activity should not only be aimed at the early detection of suspected cases, but should also be a communication tool. Objective: To describe the experiences of the student active search developed in the Dr. Mario Muñoz Monroy Teaching Polyclinic, in Santiago de Cuba. Methods: Descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out in the Office, 8 students were located, taking into account the requirement to live in or near it, students who participated in isolation centers or red zones were excluded, in addition to pregnant women or those who had a disease that prevented them from participating in the research; the sample consisted of 437 dwellings and a population of 1,071 inhabitants. Results: Predominance of the students of the Medicine career was observed. A superiority of the female sex was observed in the surveyed population. The 45.7% of the population has risks to the disease, with significance of the female sex, arterial hypertension is presented in 52.5% of those surveyed, followed by diabetes. Among the symptoms, cough, runny nose and fever predominated. 13 positives were reported, being the age group between 20 to 39 years, the most representative with 7 patients, and in terms of sex 9 females; the largest number of positives belongs to the month of February with 10 (76.9%). Conclusions: The research carried out by the students made it possible to identify the symptoms and signs related to COVID-19, in each of the suspected patients and specifically the vulnerable ones, guaranteeing an early diagnosis for proper care of the disease. Introduction: In Cuba mathematical models are formulated, but they are not contemplated for passing graduate or undergraduate degrees. Objective: To identify the need to work with mathematical simulations. Methods: A stochastic model present in the EpiModel package of the R program was used. Three different situations were simulated, the first with violations of distancing and general hygiene, the second with improvements in these two aspects, plus the immunity achieved to 70% of the population by vaccination and the third with notable improvements in hygiene and distancing together with vaccination. The behavior of the reproductive number with the early R package was also calculated from the incidence. Results: It is assessed how the trajectories with the stochastic models have more variability and how the reduction of contacts flattens the curve. The spread of the epidemic is valued in situations of prevention violations and in others where there is prevention and also vaccination. Conclusions: Sufficient evidence is presented on the use and need of mathematical models to support decision-making in epidemiology, the need to improve the theory of epidemics in graduate school is identified, which can be extended to undergraduate. Introduction: The Pierre Robin’s malformative sequence is clinically characterized by micrognathia, glossoptosis, upper airway obstruction and frequently cleft palate, which can be life-threatening. Objective: To present a case of a newborn diagnosed with the Pierre Robin's malformative sequence attended at the Mariana Grajales Gyneco-Obstetric University Hospital of the Villa Clara province. Case report: A white female patient, term and low weight was attended. A marked micrognathism and retrogmatism is observed in neonatal physical examination, oral examination showed glossoptosis, and palatine fissure, dysmorphic pattern typical of Pierre Robin’s malformative sequence. The neonate was evaluated by different specialties. Conservative treatment was indicated through the prone position and enteral bottle feeding in a semi-seated position, placement of palatal plate and follow-up by consultation of the specialities involved. The patient left the hospital with a satisfactory evolution. Conclusions: With conservative treatment and interdisciplinary participation of different medical and dentistry specialties a satisfactory result is achieved in the neonate.
