Resumen
Introduction: Diabetic retinopathy is the most common microvascular complication of diabetes mellitus. Elevated levels of glucose in the blood induce structural, physiological and hormonal changes that affect the capillaries of the retina. Retinopathy begins its development at least seven years before the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Objective: To describe the behavior of diabetic retinopathy in patients treated at the Retina clinic of the Manuel Ascunce Domenech University Hospital in Camagüey province. Methods: A descriptive, longitudinal study in patients with the diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy was carried out. 330 patients that attended the retinal consultation in the period from January to November, 2019 and that they fulfilled the selection criteria, conformed the population. A collecting fill-out form of data was designed and independent variables: Age, sex, risk factors, time of evolution of disease and like dependent variable the severity of retinopathy, were studied. Results: The behavior of the age groups between 41 and 60 years, was more frequent, followed by patients between 20 and 40 year that they suffered from proliferative diabetic retinopathy. The bad glycemic control was the most frequent risk factor, followed by high blood pressure. The greatest quantity of patients had between 17 and 21 years of disease, followed by those patients between 22 and 27 years of disease. Conclusions: The age between 41 and 60 years prevailed in the study. All patients had more than one risk factor. Poor glycemic control and arterial hypertension were the most frequent risk factors in the study. The disease’s evolution time between 17 and 21 years of illness predominated. There was a relationship between the patient's age, risk factors and time of evolution of the disease with the severity of diabetic retinopathy, where proliferative diabetic retinopathy predominated. DeCS: DIABETIC RETINOPATHY; GLYCEMIC CONTROL; CARDIOMETABOLIC RISK FACTORS; TIME FACTORS; PREVALENCE.

Resumen
Introduction: Currently, sepsis is considered one of the main causes of multiple organ dysfunction and the increase in mortality of patients diagnosed in emergency services. The impact is negative on the health of the population, and the expenses generated in the health system are estimated at several billion dollars. Objective: To determine the behavior of sepsis in the Eduardo Agramonte Piña Provincial Pediatric Hospital. Methods: A cross-sectional, retrospective descriptive, observational study was carried out to determine the behavior of sepsis at the Eduardo Agramonte Piña Provincial Pediatric Hospital from January 1st, 2016 to December 31st, 2020. The universe of the study consisted of all the children admitted (1 180) with this diagnosis to the hospital who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: A downward trend in sepsis cases was observed from 2016 to 2020. With a predominance of the age group of 1-4 years and male sex. The main diagnosis was acute respiratory infections followed by pneumonia. Most of the patients(90.1 %) were discharged alive. Conclusions: Recognizing that sepsis is a priority, early admission to intensive care units is necessary to achieve comprehensive management of these patients and thus reduce mortality from this cause. Introduction: The connection between leprosy and social factors has implications both for the patient and for the operation of the control programs for this disease. Objective: To characterize socio-demographic anthropological factors in the incidence of leprosy in the Camagüey municipality. Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional descriptive observational study was conducted. The universe was made up of patients diagnosed with leprosy included in the period covered by the study and belonging to the municipality of Camagüey. The variables studied were: clinical forms according to health classification, age, sex, health area, geographical origin (rural or urban), family economic income and overcrowding index. The information obtained was processed using the statistical package SPSS v21. The methods used were descriptive statistics of absolute and relative frequency distribution. The results of the study were presented in tables and graphs. Results: Multibacillary leprosy was the one with the highest incidence, the age group between 20 and 59 years old prevailed, with a predominance of males, the highest percentage of cases was observed in the North and Previsory health areas, more than four fifths parts of the patients belonged to urban areas, most of them had a poor family income and the index without overcrowding prevailed. Conclusions: It is necessary to deepen the study of the social anthropological factors that could favor the acquisition of this disease. DeCS: MYCOBACTERIUM LEPRAE; ANTHROPOLOGICAL FACTORS; SOCIOECONOMIC FACTORS; CROWDING; DEMOGRAPHIC DATA.

Introduction: Dog bite wounds affect individuals of all ages. Sometimes the anesthesiologist must face the care of patients with this condition. Objective: To describe the anesthetic behavior in a patient who received urgent surgical treatment due to an infected wound by dog bite. Case report: 56-year-old female patient, white skin color, with a history of hypertension under treatment, who attended due to an infected wound on the left lower limb due to a canine bite. Antimicrobial treatment was indicated and two days later, by the administration of general orotracheal anesthesia, the lower limb was amputated. The postoperative period was uneventful. Conclusions: Limb amputation in patients with canine bite is infrequent and the administration of general orotracheal anesthesia for anesthesiological management ensures the efficacy of surgical treatment. Resumen
Studies carried out in Spain indicate that there is a discriminatory or biased representation of both migrants and women. This article brings together gender and immigration research and shows the results of the analysis of migrant female characters in the main Spanish television series of generalist networks in 2016, 2017 and 2018. The methodology used was content analysis, performed on a sample of 47 episodes and 1,237 characters. The analysis of the characters was conducted on three levels: narrative, psychological and social, which resulted in 66 variables. It is concluded that migrant women barely have narrative weight and therefore suffer a double marginalization because they belong to two minority groups: women and immigrants. In addition, when compared to local female characters, they work in less qualified jobs, and compared to immigrant men, they are represented as less violent and commit fewer criminal acts.

Resumen
The main objective of this research is to analyse the audiovisual representations of the female figure in contemporary Spanish cinema over the last decade (2010-2020). Thus, from mainly qualitative research perspective, a case study has been developed with 20 cinema productions that meet a set of defined criteria. One of these selection criteria was the Bechdel test. This selection has been examined following an analysis sheet that includes the items considered most important in accordance with the objectives pursued. Finally, as one of the conclusions of this work, it can be affirmed that in contemporary Spanish cinema the pattern of women changes substantially, moving away from an androcentric model and acquiring the role of independent women.

Resumen
Commercial advertising in the 1960s found with the irruption of television in our country the best medium for the promotion of brands through the synchronous use of the animated image and a sung musical theme, the jingle. Starting from this premise, through a methodology of musical analysis, the main objective of this article is to demonstrate how the use of both visual and sound elements were decisive for the target audience to easily remember the product that was being promoted on television.

Resumen
This article aims to analyse the role of the Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media (CIMA) in promoting female creation in the Spanish audiovisual sector. To do so, a review is made of its origin and objectives as an association and an account of the different initiatives that have been carried out from 2006 to 2021, highlighting the most notable results. Its work is analysed by dividing it into three areas: 1.- The institutional field with the improvements introduced in the cinematographic legislation and its reflection in the annual figures on the presence of women in Spanish cinema. 2.- The various initiatives to give visibility to professional women in Spanish cinema. 3.- The training and promotion programs for female creation and production that it has launched. The contribution of CIMA in the promotion of films made by women in Spain is confirmed.

Resumen
The film industry in our country is a matter that generates debate and raises opposite perspectives: those who defend it and believe in its existence, or those who think that it is a craft created by artisans that does not obey a business system. Within this last consideration, a more artisanal than commercial fabric, seems to be the activity of the short film, which so far has received little attention in the academic field. The objective of this article is to pause on this phenomenon, approach its study from its most significant milestones in its recent history, which lead us to think about an evolution. Through a expository-descriptive methodology, we will try to verify that it is possible to speak of a sector around the cinematographic short story.
