Resumen
Although the study of young people and TV series is a widely approached subject, little attention is being given to young university students. To address this gap, based on a self‑made survey of 144 Spanish students of the degrees in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism at the Universities of Seville and Malaga, this article examines their monthly consumption of serialized fiction, the media and channels used by them, analyzes their perception regarding the representation of themselves, their social reality and the problems of their generation, and investigates the differences that arise when contrasting the gender, and if the TV series is foreign or national. Key results point to a higher consumption by female students, a widespread use of OTT platforms, an increasing interest in national serialized fiction, as well as the characters’ emotional states being the dimension that represents the university students best.

Resumen
In this text, we intend to reflect on the concept of terrorism, as the definition of this debatable term has not achieved an institutional consensus on an international level. By taking the areas of conflict as a starting point, in which some of the meanings of the term are found, we will trace a journey through a series of films that have addressed the terrorist phenomenon from different conventional approaches, with the aim of analysing the film genre and the concept of terorism that we examine in the film texts. This journey, which takes us through different historic contexts and various conflicts, is led by criminal organisations such as the Red Army Faction, Red Brigades, ETA or the German military faction: Baader Meinhof.

Resumen
The economic boom that Spain experienced in the nineties gave rise to the townhouse culture. The objective is to demonstrate that this culture of the townhouse was used as a control device by the Spanish democratic governments in the 1990s through the urban restructuring of the suburbs of large cities. The cultural analysis of the space of Adosados (Mario Camus, 1996) verifies how the film denounces the control of the subject that is inscribed in standardized parameters from which it seems impossible to escape. Hence, this culture can be compared to the concept of the panopticon theorized by Michel Foucault because, with the gathering of the population in townhouses on the outskirts of large cities, citizens were being reorganized in such a way that their movements and routines were delimited. In this way the middle class is watched and controlled for productive purposes. For this reason, the townhouse is presented as a homogeneous prison from which the protagonist of the film cannot escape.

Resumen
This paper highlights the relevance of the structural design of Saving Private Ryan (Steven Spielberg, 1998) in conveying its message, in line with S. M. Eisenstein's theoretical principles. An analysis of its scenes has been carried out, identifying their emulation of, or "collisions" with, preceding "schemas". The film presents events characteristic of the classical model of the World War II combat subgenre, but its articulation is unforeseen and evidences authorial action as in the critical model of Vietnam, specifically as in Apocalypse Now (Francis Ford Coppola, 1979). This contrast integrates citizens of different ideological persuasions. It also borrows the structural model and deceptive ending to a initial enigma from Citizen Kane (Orson Welles, 1941) so as to allude to the same theme: the true essence of man, in this case of the veteran, represented by the elderly Ryan.

Resumen
Three audiovuisual productions released in 2020 take Henry James’ classic novel as it primary material: The Turning, The Hunting of Bly Mannor and The turn of the Screw. The aim of this sudy is to characterize a series of transpositions of such novel which haven’t received a sustained crittical attention yet as other versions have. Comparative análisis shows a tendency in the three productions towards self-conciousness: by means of different techniques, this productions shows traces os posmodernism which makes them different to prior versions based on the same primary source.

Resumen
Introduction: Acute appendicitis is one of the most common causes of acute abdominal pain. Objective: To describe currents trends in treatment of acute appendicitis in adults. Methods: A non-systematic review of the literature was made using Virtual Health Library, PubMed, SciELO and Scholar Google databases. Meta-analysis and original articles, in Spanish and English, published from 2016 to March 2021, were included. Results: Laparoscopic appendectomy is the most accepted treatment for complicated and uncomplicated forms of acute appendicitis, were human and materials resources exists. Simple ligation is preferable to stump invagination. The systematic use of abdominal drainage is not recommended. Wounds edge protectors are useful in prevention of surgical site infection. Primary skin closure with an intradermal suture, has better results. To achieve a unique disease classification system is necessary, in order to improve results. Prophylactic antibiotics are sufficient in uncomplicated appendicitis; complicated acute appendicitis require a short course of antibiotics. Non-surgical treatment can be considered in selected patients with uncomplicated acute appendicitis. Conclusions: Currently, laparoscopic appendectomy is preferred, there is a tendency to use ambulatory protocols and shortened antibiotics prescriptions. DeCS: APPENDICITIS/surgery; APPENDICITIS/therapy; APPENDECTOMY; LAPAROSCOPY; REVIEW LITERATURE AS TOPIC.

Resumen
Introduction: Burn injury is one of the most traumatic and devastating events that a human being can suffer. This thermal event produces profound alterations in the host's systemic defense mechanisms. Complications in major burns begin in the immediate phase of inflammation produced after suffering thermal aggression. Complications in the burned patients are associated with a bad prognosis with a high morbility and mortality. Objective: To decribe the complications in burned patient. Methods: A descriptive, retrospective, cross-section study was carried out to determine the complications in the burned patients that were admitted in the service of Caumatology, of the Universitary Hospital Manuel Ascunce Domenech in Camagüey city between January, 2021 and February, 2022. 32 patients were studied and the following variables were evaluated: severity rate, general complications, and acid-basic and hydroelectrolytic complications, as well as the state at discharge of the patients. Results: There was a predominance of patients with complications, in those injured persons with thermic harsh insult, present in 24 patients for 75 %. The infection of the injury for burns, the hyperglycemia, the anemia and the states of dehydration were the complications that largely showed up in the studied patients. All of the dead persons belonged to patient's group that had complications, eight patients showed (25 %). Conclusions: The infection of the burns continues to be the main complication of the burned patient. Most of the patients in this series were discharged alive. DeCS: BURNS/complication; BURNS/classification; POPULATION FORECAST; PROGRESSIVE PATIENT CARE; INFECTIONS.
