The culture of convergence favors the emergence of a new narrative aesthetics. Coined by Jenkins (2008) and discussed in Rose (2010) and Mittell (2015) transmedia storytelling relates act of transmitting messages, themes or stories through different media platforms, each contributes differently to the creative universe. This article will try to reflect on the characteristics and potential of the phenomenon to analyze a case study on the Latitudes. Launched in 2013, the plot was expanded in three narrative lines: the Internet, TV and film, creating such a broad fictional universe that could not be contained in a single platform.

The audiovisual industry has introduced a new generation of actors: the virtual characters. His technological digital nature is influenced by the imaginary one of the creation of artificial life, a set of beliefs and dreads that they accompany on any technology that implies the purpose or the effect of managing to imitate human fuctions and whose origin is in the religion, the classic mythology and the literary and cinematography creation. This ideology that, after passing for the mythology grecorromana and the creation of the automatons, lit the XXth centurythe figure of the robot, has risen in the digital technology. With the new actors there are reborn the primitive fears that Frankestein existed talking on bodily form: the myth of the double, time is as alter ego in the virtual world, the apprehension of the soul (motion capture), the creation of an artificial personality and the illusion of the divine omnipotence that turns into simulation into videogames into those that characters believe themselves and one tests the genetic heredity of parents to children.

Cultural industries produce a wide range of products - enjoyed by most people -, which are given different uses in everyday life. These products contribute to figure out what is called Popular Culture. Despite the fact that these cultural products have an intensely widespread presence that is continious in our daily life, Communication Sciences do not contribute to give an approximate explanation on this subject.  To the hightextent, this is due to the process of institutionalisation that is aspect of knowledge is undergoing, which canonised a dominant standpoint and set the boundaries of the corpues to be studied. So, it is necessary to include within Communication Studies other points of view that allow us: first of all, to recognise the importance of these phenomena - without the prompt to disqualifying them - and secondly, to get to know them rigorously. Particulary, these points of view that refer to them in the appropiate cultural frame, binding them up to the social context in which they are produced.
