The echo of the transnationalization of Latin American television fiction series has been heard throughout the Eastern European countries and especially in Romania, where its model has been adapted to local realities through national productions. The marginalized environment of the Gypsy ethnic group has become a source of inspiration for the Romanian telenovela Gypsy Heart. Through the main character who is a gypsy and a doctor, this narrative inspired by real life breaks down negative stereotypes prebuilt by society, which turns it into a model of identity and integration of this community.

The small world that shows the film DeCaravana propose a model that reflects and important diversity, a localism with local success. If the movie were filmed again, with the same characteristics, it definitely would have the same or more success. But this model will be still ignored by a country that thinks that “national” means a lot of places with the blessing of Buenos Aires and its institutions.

Analyze the narrative structure of the novel Carmen, from Prosper Mérimée, and observes their literary characteristics. Proposes the observation of the narrative structure of the opera Carmen, from Bizet, and compares the two. The adaptations of the work of Mérimée for audiovisual language proposed by Bizet permeate through a counting process that distinguishes the use of signs and codes for cultures of word and images. Consequently, we propose a discussion of how meanings are present in the adaptation process, as well as what are dialogic and intertextual relations expressed in it.

Contemporary migration processes require us to reflect on the changes that occur in subjects migrants and the societies they arrive. Through of The first night (La primera noche) (2003) and Bolivia (2003) is possible to recognize subalternities and resistance that emerge in the city as a place of convergence of multiple scenario groups and social dynamics of exclusion and marginalization. These two productions have different forms of migration and are characterized by making visible characters and circumstances of a world unknown and ignored, and are a representation of the urban alternative to the dominant discourses.

This study claims for redefining and adapting certain basic categories of analysis which inform the production of televised fiction: reality/fiction; polyphony/dialogism; autonomy/independence; character construction; narrative focus/implicit author; converging subjects of production; discourse memory; interdiscursiveness. From this standpoint, one of our aims is to reveal major and minor modifications in fictional narratives as they move to different platforms. We access the proportional strength of these categories and also examine the role of coproducing receptors, those who use the web for the rapid dissemination of the contaminations of their co-production. In this initial stage we work on building/rebuilding adequate categories of analysis.

The aim of the present article is to analyze one of the most controversial fan fiction expressions; the homoerotic stories (created by heterosexual women in general terms) which show or suggest homosexual relationships between fictional heterosexual characters. This subgenre is analyzed using a comparative methodology focused on two fan fiction productions: slash fiction and yaoi fandom. Therefore, using the contrast between both streams, some aspects such as the new role of an active audience, the traditional and normative concepts about masculinity and the cultural features of this kind of fan fiction stories are questioned.

Written word becomes insufficient for precise exploration of cinema. The complex message of a film, in its wider sense, is transmitted through the Organization of its set of juxtaposed visual and sound elements. Frames taken from a film and printed on paper have usually served to little more than comment on the planning of a scene. The advent of the computer tools that facilitate the use of video and audio, has not led to consolidated research methodologies. In this context arise the visual essays from Tag Gallagher, American film critic and historian.

From the observation of the theoretical and methodological applications in the research of the audiovisual area in Brazil, we seek to reflect on the concepts of method and methodology. Given that there are methodological perspectives that provide different proposals, we chose to focus more specifically on one: the Cartography. For this particular approach we focus on "Deleuze and Guattari Cartography" as a plural, open, multidimensional theoreticalmethodological process for audiovisual studies. The interesting about these applications is the dual perspective that arises in their use, and it is presented throughout the article.
