The "Arithmetic of film analysis" provides the basis to set a definition of a graphical model complementary to narrative analysis. This tool pretends to be useful to both researchers - film analysis- and creators, -to achieve a significant and intensive use of audiovisual components-. Taking the four basic arithmetic operations and an x and y axes diagram as a starting point , it sets out the possible interrelationships between elements of the film and the audiovisual speech, making a unit of analysis out f the x and y axis. These elements allow a visual representation of film analysis.

Betting for an approach clearly narratological, the present communication explores the nature of a type of text in which the paper of the narratee turns out to be decisive. In the analyzed speech it is the narratee who demands the author. And not upside-down, since it happens more commonly in the different areas of the fiction. In the communication it is estimated up to what point the narrow entail with the reality of the type of analyzed speech, characteristic of the journalism, determines the narrative used resources.

This qualitative study, supported by interviews with 25 girls between 4 and 9 years of age, from a medium-high economic sector, had the purpose to understand how they perceive the reality of the princesses of the films, with what issues are identified, and what learning they obtained. It was found that fantasy and reality are separated by an almost invisible thread, and media are also proposing patterns of conduct and attitudes, transmitting social representations that reinforce established behavioral schema. In general, the princesses of the films are perceived as human characters, because they perform "true" activities.

This article focuses on the modifications of narrative content of Japanese comics when they are adapted into films. After an overview of the main filmic adaptation theories, a comparative analysis of the comics and their filmic versions is presented in order to determine how the narrative content is translated from one medium into the other. The corpus includes works targeted at male teenagers (where episodic plots are very common) and at female teenagers (with more serial plots). The methodology of analysis has a comparative approach and it pays special attention to the processes of translation, addition, elimination or modification of narrative content.

The promotion at the point of sale and its correct communication represent two marketing elements that are especially important at a strategic level to ensure success in the retail sector in any economic area. All the aspects in which communication and sales promotion intervene to improve results in the retail and marketing management of a given commercial establishment are influenced by the environment, as well as by correct management. The point of sale is, in itself, an inexhaustible source of communication that manifests itself with an infinite number of informative and persuasive messages, ranging from conventional static signage supports to contests and promotional bonuses. Promotional planning must necessarily be based on a methodology that responds to the strategic approaches of the point of sale, in relation to its commercial policy. This text studies a specific case of promotional action in a point of sale that has traditionally been little studied and which, in recent years, has acquired importance in terms of communication and management of the point of sale, such as pharmacies and parapharmacies in Spain

If the classical cosmology found in the myth of the Amazons a suitable symbolical figure to refer to the otherness both sexual (as women warriors away from the patriarchal feminine ideal) as ethnical (their foreign condition demarcated them from the Greek model), in contemporary culture the re-readings of the myth seem to transit that same way. In this article we analyze the case of the television series "Game of Thrones" where the presence of amazonian iconography in the representation of the characters known as the Sand Snakes operates, along with other common places of difference such as Orientalism or the Myth of Carmen, as a tool of enhancement of its ethnic-sexual otherness with respect to the central subject of discourse: the white male.

Art and advertising are influenced and, today, come together. Artistic dimension of advertising prevails in a highly competitive market with an increasingly informed and overexposed consumer to the advertising messages. In this context, premium brands resort to the art infusion to differentiate, gain prestige and position in the mind of the consumer as an alternative to luxury brands. The article proposes a theoretical reflection that validates this branding strategy through an exploratory and descriptive bibliographical review of the current state of the art that may be of interest for future analyzes in this field of study.

The aim of this paper is to study the similarities between the protagonist of the show Political Animals, created by Greg Berlanti for USA-Network, and the political candidate Hillary Clinton. With this purpose, we use the Critical Discourse Analysis developed by Van Dijk that will enable us to link text and context. The discussion of the results is organized around two main core points: patriotism and persuasion.

The following exploratory study analyzes and compares the propaganda of South Korea and North Korea. To do so, we used the Elements for a Communication Theory of Propaganda model, which is a semiothic analysis model developed by Pineda (2006). We will be focusing on propagados and propagandemas. We found that North Korea's propaganda met the goals of defending the State, exalting the leader, and the influence of China and the Sovietic Union. South Korea, on the other hand, based their propaganda in USA's political marketing model and on exalting political candidates, as well as the importance of the people.
