Resumen
This exploratory study analyzes and compares the characteristics of North and South Korea's propaganda posters. Using Elements for a Theory of Communicative propaganda, a model of semiotic analysis first proposed by Pineda (2006) as our starting point, the aesthetically-expressive components were analyzed. It was found that North Korean propaganda was inspired by China and the Soviet Union, and that its message and the composition was more complex than that of South Korean propaganda. Conversely, South Korean propaganda followed the US's political marketing model, focusing on political party's candidates and on demagogy.

Resumen
The star of the cinema since prescriptor in a spot of the prestigious brand Chanel Nº5 does not consist of appearing only expressing a few lucid and poetical words it brings over of the qualities of the product, but his presence goes beyond his perfect diction or his physical attraction. It is a question of presenting a message, which somehow, his imaginary one incorporates into the narrative concept of the spot. In other words, the prescriptores are chosen because they serve as species of archetype and this archetype (hero) allows to construct the beginning of the pleasure: the engine of the desire towards the product and the brand.

Resumen
The present text analyses the three feature films of J.C. Chandor and the way they appeal to capitalism and financial turndown. Margin Call (2011) tells the outburst of the crisis with a discourse shifting from a circumstantial point of view to a structural one. All Is Lost (2013) is about the individual trying to survive in the midst of the storm. A Most Violent Year (2014) points to the logics of the capitalism system and its implicit violence. This essay tries to get deep into that heterogeneous view on capitalism and understand its diagnosis of the structural and systemic problems.

Resumen
This paper analyzes the narrative structure behind the TV series Gran Hotel, which has added the standards of detective genre to Spanish nineteenthcentury melodrama, often adapted by Spanish public television during the eighties. Through Gran Hotel, the paper evaluates the new television formats, where intrigue is used to enhance the participation and identification of their viewers. Its postmodern pastiche of genres, ages, formats and ideologies produces, in this way, several interconnections that lead Gran Hotel to new meanings.

Resumen
After World War II was put out, the vanguard of North American cinema recast the meanings of the female body in subjects that placed a hitherto subdued genre in a prominent place, in accordance with the progress achieved in political and social areas. This is the context of emancipation from which we can extract Film #12: Heaven and Earth Magic, a Rosetta Stone that allows an understanding of Harry Smith’s mythopoeia, an examination of the artist's consciousness and his cultural affiliations and, specifically, the significance of the female body as a key part of North American avant-garde film in the twentieth century.

Resumen
The aim of this article is to analyze the representation of the feminine roles in Amantes (Vicente Aranda, 1991). The two feminine stereotypes in the film, based on the classic dichotomy of virgin/sexualized woman, are closely related to the classic genres that identify them: the melodrama and the film noir. Our reading of the movie shows how this dichotomy presents fissures and contradictions which question the apparent stability and consistency of stereotypes, marked by to the discursive ambivalence ensuing the inclusion of Hollywood models in a film set in the Spanish post-war.

Resumen
This paper highlights the artistic ideology of Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky (1932-1986) through the aesthetic analysis of the central scene of his first film abroad, Nostalghia (1983), that is, by acting design, staging, composition and visual processing of the face a perfect translation of the visual characteristics of Orthodox icons to filmic space. This demonstrates how the aesthetic principles of Tarkovsky, based on his heritage, his life context, philosophical and religious tradition are translated into cinematic elements and processes that create the famous film poetry that critics and public commonly recognize as unique to this director.

Resumen
A sixty participant experiment reveals that understanding and recall in news broadcasts is related to the use of narrative structures as well as to the degree of text-picture correspondence. Results show that the inverted pyramid appears to be the less effective narrative structure to improve information gain. To the contrary, a chronological narration of the story boosts recall and understanding. The so called scattered pyramid reaches similar levels of proficiency, even though its effectiveness depends on how strong is text-picture correspondence.
