Pedagogical accompaniment is an intervention strategy that guarantees a high percentage of success; however, it sometimes produces rejection in teachers due to how it is carried out, a situation that affects students' academic performance. To verify what was stated, the research aims to analyze pedagogical accompaniment as a strategy that affects the academic performance of primary-level students, determine how the accompaniment process is carried out, identify the techniques and instruments used, and evaluate the incidence of accompaniment—pedagogy in the academic performance of students. The study addresses a quantitative approach, with a questionnaire applied to 117 teachers, 34 members of the management team of seven educational centers, and a statistical analysis of 48 final report cards of the second cycle of the primary level. The results show that pedagogical support is planned, with observations of classroom practice, reflective dialogues, and follow-up. These actions positively impacted the student's academic performance; the majority obtained A, B, and C grades, which allowed them to be promoted. This allows us to infer that positive results are obtained if support is provided with strategies and professionalism.

The postgraduate academic offer in Biotechnology of the Dominican High Education Institutions is not enough. It is needed an analysis of competences which must be considered for the postgraduate curricular design in Biotechnology. A cross-sectional quantitative study was done through interviews to 30 dominican experts in Biotechnology, according to a questionnaire including 45 competences and skills, and results were compared with required competences and skills in United States and United Kingdom. A framework of competences, technical skills, and other skills is proposed, which does not differ essentially as compared to the priorities of those countries. Competences and skills which complement the present biotechnological development, (Bioinformatics and Telemedicine), were identified. Skills and competences in the field of biotechnological businesses are an emerging sector to be considered in the curricular design.

The descriptive analysis of the perceptions of transferable skills of students and teachers of a university education institution that teaches Degrees in Performing Arts, Cinematography, Music, Fine Arts, and Photography is shared. Including transferable skills in higher artistic education can favor students' personal and professional development and promote their employability. With this hypothesis, the perception of students and teachers about these skills is investigated through a comparative-descriptive study with a quantitative methodology. The results identify that the skills least valued by both groups are precisely those demanded by the employer sector. Secondly, there are apparent differences in the evaluations made by teachers and students and between the five artistic branches. Finally, there is a need to include these skills to improve the employability of graduates.

This article uses the PRISMA statement as a model to present a structured review of the literature on the factors that contribute to the decrease in university enrollment due to desertion. This review considers 15 selected papers covering N = 19089 participants. Results of our study show a notable lack of consensus in the approaches and methods used to treat this phenomenon and highlight several critical factors that contribute to university dropout: academic, motivational, economic factors, perception of the quality of the educational system, scarcity of support resources, low valuation of the education received, and family problems. The findings provide a solid basis for informing and designing effective retention policies in higher education institutions, paramount for strengthening the education sector.

In this article, a biographical sketch of Kurt Lewin is presented, one of the most original and important psychologists of the 20th century, his main contributions to social psychology and research methodology through field, theory he dynamics of group, leadership theories and action research. Emphasis is placed on the contributions of action-research to education, its recognition in the mid-20th century, its oblivion in later times and how this methodology permeated the work of various researchers in the United States, Australia and Latin America, and served as the basis for the structuring of participant-action-research, as well as in the development of Paulo Freire's pedagogy. The objective of the work is to highlight the repercussions of Lewin's work in psychology and pedagogy, both at a theoretical and methodological level. But, just as his work is highlighted, its limitations are also considered, the most striking of which is its lack of systematicity.

This work seeks to determine the thermal-atmospheric conditions in which workers carry out their activities and their incidence in systemic heat disorders such as syncope, edema, cramps, exhaustion and heat stroke, as well as local disorders such as skin conditions, in an industrial plant dedicated to the production of food products, located in the city of Quevedo. Ecuador. Its objective is to reduce the incidence of occupational accidents and diseases through the implementation of preventive measures systems, carrying out engineering and administrative controls. As an initial stage, the identification of critical areas was carried out and the measurement of the WBGT index was carried out, with instruments and methods endorsed by the ISO 7226 Standard, later the results were evaluated to propose measures that reduce, control or minimize heat stress to permitted levels according to current regulations, these measures will guarantee the integrity and well-being of all workers.

The present research presents alternatives to reduce air pollution in a pig and poultry feed manufacturing plant located in Ecuador, the initial objective was to determine the type of particles present in the air, and to take preventive measures to minimize their impact on the health of workers. Field research was carried out to collect information by applying the techniques of interviews, surveys, observation sheets and through the initial risk matrix to determine the critical points of the process, with this information we proceeded to quantify the total suspended particles in the work environment. With the results obtained, control alternatives and improvements were proposed, at the source, in the environment and in the individual to achieve optimal working conditions.

The increase in health problems related to poor nutrition has pushed many investigations to focus on the use of whole foods, especially cereals and pseudocereals. In this sense, the objective of this work was to develop nutritional bars based on Rye (factor A), Amaranth (factor B) and Stevia (factor C) as sources of protein, vitamins and calories. For this purpose, analyzes were carried out on the raw material such as: moisture content, fat or ethereal extract, protein content, fiber and determination of vitamin D or calciferol, in the process I re-blanched, roasted, then the bars. In the finished product, organoleptic analysis and nutritional determination such as proteins, fiber, vitamins and calories, carbohydrates, fat, humidity, ashes, sugars were carried out. According to the sensory analysis, it was determined that treatment 1 presented better acceptance by the tasters. In addition, after the physical-chemical and nutritional analysis of the bars, the results were 10.2% protein, 2.16% fat; dietary fiber 8.71%; total carbohydrates 52.4%; ashes 1.01%; 25.5% moisture, providing 49 kcal and 3 kcal of fat per unit consumed, values that have been calculated based on a diet of 2000 calories per day. Finally, it was found that 18 g of rye; 4 g of amaranth and 1 mL of Stevia meets the sensory and nutritional characteristics within the parameters established in Ecuadorian standards, providing a minimum number of calories, making it ideal for people with diabetes, overweight, obesity, and malnutrition.

The present work was carried out due to the problems perceived in the administration of an educational institution, based on this, the study continued to identify the weak points of the administrative processes and thus reinforce them. This work carried out a background review to have a clearer idea for carrying out the research. To verify the dissatisfaction of parents and students, the use of quality statistical tools such as satisfaction surveys, Pareto diagram, SWOT matrix, Ishikawa diagram, instrument validation test, and also A population calculation was carried out. Once the results of the surveys were obtained and the Pareto diagram was assembled, it was possible to perceive the dissatisfaction on the part of the students with respect to the medical dispensary, since they do not have an essential first aid kit and they do not have trained personnel. Another perceived problem is related to drug and alcohol prevention talks, this is because the institution does not usually give this type of talks to its students. The objective of this investigative work is to propose improvements to mitigate the problems found, and in conclusion this work indicates that the use of quality tools is essential to identify problems and propose solutions.
