Historically, infectious diseases were the main cause of mortality among the world's population. With the strengthening of the health system and the socioeconomic conditions of the population, the epidemiological scenario has changed and currently the highest death rates are related to Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). Just as chronic conditions of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases (DIP) are one of the main causes of mortality in the Brazilian population, especially among the elderly, PID are part of a large set of illnesses that affect public health. Objective: To analyze the association between NCDs and PID with the mortality rate of elderly people in the city of Foz do Iguaçu, identifying the main risk factors and the most vulnerable populations affected by these conditions, from 2012 to 2022. Methodology: Treats As a quantitative and descriptive study, data collection occurred from records obtained through death certificates from the National Mortality System (SIM). Results: It was identified that the main causes of mortality associated with NCDs (N= 7,097) and PID (N= 1,162) are associated with a low level of education, unfavorable conditions, pre-existing comorbidities and low income. Conclusion: The mortality rates observed indicate the urgent need for public strategies that integrate the prevention of NCDs with the care and treatment of PID. It is crucial that health policies are formulated in an equitable manner, taking into account the vulnerabilities of the elderly population.

Introduction: Burnout is a syndrome resulting from chronic stress at work. It is characterized by three dimensions: feelings of exhaustion or depletion of energy; increased psychological strain at work, or negative feelings, resulting in reduced productivity. Objective: It was to describe the factors that lead to Burnout Syndrome in intensive care nurses, as well as the negative impacts. Method: This study is bibliographic in nature, integrative. To select the articles, a search was carried out in the following databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library On-line (SciELO), National Library of Medicine platform (PubMed), Databases of Nursing Data (BDENF), in addition to the International Medical and Biomedical Literature Databases (MEDLINE). Complete articles were used from 2016 to 2023. Results: In a sample of 166 articles found, 8 duplicate articles were excluded. After the eligibility criteria were applied, a further 138 articles were excluded because they did not meet the established criteria. A further 19 articles were subsequently excluded, as they were not related to the work problem. Finally, 9 articles remained for the development of the research. Discussion: It can be observed that understanding the social representations regarding the Burnout phenomenon is important for a better understanding of its conceptual dimension, as well as its impact on the lives of professional nurses. Conclusion: The need for strategies that reduce the occurrence of Burnout Syndrome, therefore, it is important to encourage and value nursing professionals to reduce overload, that is, to increase the demand for professionals in each sector, including the ICU. Furthermore, it is expected that the approaches and discussions presented during the study can serve as scientific support and a guiding instrument in the search for improvements for health professionals who tend to have Burnout Syndrome.

Introduction: High-fidelity clinical simulation (HFS) has established itself as an effective tool in nursing education, promoting gains in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions of students. Objective: To assess nursing students' perceptions of the gains obtained from high-fidelity clinical simulation as an evaluative component. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with 206 students from a private higher education institution in the Federal District, Brazil. Data collection involved a sociodemographic and academic questionnaire and the application of the Perceived Gains from High-Fidelity Simulation Scale (PGHFS), composed of five dimensions: recognition/decision, intervention, technical/practical, attitudes, and cognition. Data were analyzed descriptively, presenting medians and interquartile ranges. The study received approval from the Research Ethics Committee. Results: Students perceived significant improvements in all evaluated dimensions, reflecting the positive impact of HFCS on the development of essential technical and practical skills for patient care. The overall gain score also showed a median of 4.00 (IQR 3.00-4.00), confirming the perception of considerable improvement in acquired skills. Conclusion: Students recognized important theoretical and practical improvements gained through the use of simulation as a learning assessment tool.

Phototherapy is widely used in neonatal units to treat jaundice in newborns, serving as an effective method to control this condition. However, this procedure presents challenges beyond technique, requiring a humanized approach by the nursing team. This study analyzes the role of nurses in humanizing care for newborns undergoing phototherapy, integrating the family into the process and balancing the technical and emotional demands of care. General objective: to understand how nurses promote this humanized care, encouraging the active participation of parents in treatment. Methodology: the research was conducted through an integrative review with a qualitative and descriptive approach, using publications from 2019 to 2024 obtained from databases such as Scielo and PubMed. After an initial screening, 23 articles were selected for final analysis. The collected data were examined qualitatively, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of nursing practices in this context. Results and discussion: the findings indicate that humanized care in neonatology, especially during phototherapy, improves the bond between the family and the nursing team and promotes the newborn's emotional well-being. It was observed that the active presence of parents in the process positively contributes to the treatment, reducing anxiety and strengthening the family’s confidence in the healthcare team. Final considerations: it is concluded that a humanized approach, combined with technical care, is essential to ensure quality care, highlighting the relevance of the nurse's role in the neonatal context.

The central objective of this research is to illustrate the connection between the right to the city and the rights of nature, highlighting the blue-green ordinance as a means of managing, preventing, building and redressing these rights. The relationship between the right to the city and the rights of nature in its guarantee is decisive in the construction of equitable, resilient, sustainable and environmentally friendly urban spaces. This paper provides a conceptual and legal basis for the right to the city and the rights of nature, outlining their fundamental principles and their evolution in the urban context. It also addresses analyses of sustainable urban planning policies that emerge in the applicability of the principle of interdependence between the right to the city and the rights of nature focused on safeguarding and restoring both ecological balance and social justice in cities. Finally, we reflect on how the actions or omissions of the public entities that make up a local government in their management have an impact on the enjoyment or violation of these "city-nature" rights, and explain the importance of the role played by decentralised municipal autonomous governments in the effectiveness of the development of their competences, especially in the area of environmental management, in line with the content of the Constitutional Court's ruling No. 2167-21-EP/22 "Monjas River".

The Psychosocial Care Centers are spaces for receiving service users with mental disorders who are undergoing non-hospital treatment. Their function is to provide psychological and medical care, with the aim of reintegrating patients into society. They have a multidisciplinary team, which must provide care to users through individual or group care, therapeutic workshops, home visits, family care and community activities, among other services. Considering this background, the general objective of the research is to report on the nurse's experience in nursing intervention with the families of users of the Psychosocial Care Center service in the municipality of Pão de Açúcar - AL, Brazil. The guiding question is: what is the perception of the academic's role in the nursing intervention with family members of users of the CAPS service in the municipality of Pão de Açúcar - AL, Brazil? From a methodological point of view, this is an academic experience report with qualitative characteristics, of a descriptive nature, with a time frame, carried out at the CAPS in Pão de Açúcar - AL. Finally, through the internship, it was possible to see that care for the families of CAPS service users should be carried out from an individualized and humanized perspective, encouraging care, information and family participation in meetings.
