This paper, which follows the historiographic approach and is framed within the author's doctoral thesis research, it evidences an argument employed by Isaac Newton in his studies that culminated in a version of what is currently recognized as the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus (FTC). From this perspective, the CFT will be analyzed in four different periods, 1665, 1666, 1669, and 1704 of Newton's work. The characteristics of this argument can be converted into a structure for alternative presentation in the TFC teaching to university students since heuristics plays an important role in problem-solving. Then, the pretension that it becomes another resource for the teaching of TFC would be based on retaking it as the relation between the problem of the areas and the inverse problem of the tangents, beyond the usual one, i.e., the inverse relationship between the derivative and the integral.

The main purpose of this article is to describe the importance of educating and training in open governance, that is, to evaluate the need and possibility of introducing changes in education to respond to political and pedagogical discourses and introduce concepts such as open governance, transparency, participation and democracy in educational centers. The methodology is hermeneutic and qualitative at a descriptive level; therefore, its basis is documentary, supported by scientific articles in a systematic review of the literature on the subject. Educating in Open Governance is one more way of bringing administrations closer to citizens; training them in open governance education should result in turning students into responsible, committed, participative citizens, close to the democratic life of the institutions.

The ecosystem services of urban trees in Laguna de San Baltazar, Puebla, Mexico, are determined using i-Tree software. For that, the species and the allometric measurements of all the trees with a diameter equal or greater 5 cm were registered. The equivalent economic amount of the main pollutants removed calculated by the program was determined using the registered data and the native parameters associated to its database. Environmental services rise to $592,200.00 pesos per year, 73% of which are derived from the removal of pollutants. A baseline for this site is established and knowledge of the use of this tool is expanded.

The objective of the present work was to explore its effect on the relationship between family heterogeneity and the family business innovation posture in five businesses in the capital of San Luis Potosí, Mexico using the case method. Using the typology of Rondi and collaborators, it was found that familiness increases the proclivity to operate under a specific strategic behavior. Specifically, a re-enactor profile was found in the five entities, that is, a low inclination to risk and a high adherence to tradition with a focus on achieving continuity in the long term. Familiness, defined as those resources and capacities resulting from family and business interaction, is a recently used concept.

A bibliometric analysis is carried out on scientific articles referring to Mexico on cybersecurity issues, published between 2015 and 2020, indexed by Sciencedirect, Redalyc, and Dialnet. The study takes into consideration indicators such as productivity per year, per journal, per institution and per author, as well as the thematic content of the texts. From the 18 papers analyzed, the detected research trends suggest a majority contribution from researchers affiliated to universities, as well as the association of cybersecurity issues and the technologies involved in cyberspace with social topics.

An observational study is presented through video recordings, with the aim to identify the factors that motivate the cyclist’s decision to not respect the red light in a traffic light intersection. The results of the chi-square statistical analysis shown the following factors: “men aged 15-30 years”, the use of “visual search” and the “size group”, influence the decision to cross in red light. While the use of a cycling helmet, cell phone, face-mask, bicycle of sharing system and reflective vest are associated to the respect of the stop sign while the red-light indication is on at the traffic light.

This research compiles lessons learned from assisted restoration processes, useful to promote this activity in similar ecologically territories. The objective was to document the historical context and the process of each silvicultural treatment, executed by the Program of Restoration and Forestry of the Guanacaste Conservation Area in the San Cristóbal Sector, with ages between 18 and 22 years. Through literature review, visits and interviews with stakeholders, this research supports the fact that the plantations of Gmelina arborea (as a nurse species) and the regeneration islands are alternatives to accelerate the regeneration of secondary forest in terms of removal of pastures, recovery of structure and species of natural tropical moist forests of the area.
