In January 2003, the sculptors Pablo de Arriba del Amo and José de las Casas Gómez, presented the idea of a possible sculptural creation to the Municipal Board of Villaverde Alto, this project was approved, therefore, it had the necessary financing to carry it out. It was later installed in the proposed final location, which was in Plaza Ágata in that same district. In this article, all the steps that were followed in the process of creating this monument, which was especially complex due to its size, will be developed in detail. From the choice of theme, materials and processes to the development and study of the foundation, all of this will be explained to account for a project of maximum interest not only for the sculptors themselves, but also for the general public. The approach to this procedure can make the universe of sculpture much more appreciated. It must be taken into account, that both sculptors invented a sculptural procedure by applying their knowledge in a novel configuration, both in terms of the procedure and the method of applying the materials.

This research project tries to investigate the creative process of the image of the dead animal. In other words, he looks for new plastic ways of doing things to talk about the animal as a mark in art. In addition, from different artistic strategies, three creative processes are created where the image of the dead animal is formed in three installations, which are made up of different plastic pieces. However, creating from the conceptual and the artistic generates a responsible debate about the moral in art within the limits of the bodies of animals. The methodology used is research as creation, giving rise to three creative processes as we have mentioned. Finally, to build and analyze the image of the dead animal in Contemporary Art is to understand and assume responsibility for ourselves before nature itself from a new sustainable perspective.

The involvement of emotional processes aimed at understanding the ideas, personal discourses and methods linked to artistic creation and research is a necessity in the university training stages. The existing gap between emotional participation and cognitive processes, as well as their pre-eminence of the latter and the excessive normalization of research systems and personal project elaboration methodologies, provoke impositions of roles unrelated to artistic creation - research, complicating the message and distancing it, on many occasions, from the original thought and interests of the artist. This article tries to reflect on theseaspects observed from outside and from within the academic spheres in their university stage, trying to show the relevance that they must acquire: the previous background; participatory perception; process visualization; experimentality; and fundamentally reflective methods, introception and dialogue in research processes in this genuine field of knowledge.
