Resumen
ABSTRACTPurpose: The present investigation aims to assess whether the offer of the tourist destination Terras de Trás-os-Montes has a strong and unique positioning (offering different experiences with a focus on what makes the destination unique and difficult to imitate) and an offer of excellent quality with competitive advantages. suited to the characteristics of digital nomads.Methodology: Taking into account the general objective and the specific objectives of this article, the methodological plan was established. In a first part, a literature review was carried out, taking into account the themes of the study, essentially addressing the changes in work relationships, digital nomadism and the profile of the nomad. The literature review was carried out using articles found in electronic databases, such as Scopus, Science Direct, B-on, sharing platforms, such as the Research Gate website, open access portals, such as Open Access Scientific Repository (RCAAP) and search engines such as Google Scholar. Secondary data were collected in the databases of Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos, PORDADA, in the National Tourism Registry (RNT), in the National Institute of Statistics (INE), as well as in the intermunicipal community of Terras de Trás-os-Montes (CIM-TTM).Findings: According to the research, it was concluded that although the Terras de Trás-os-Montes have resources and tourist potential ability to meet the needs of the digital nomad, such resources are still in an embryonic stage of development, making it necessary that the touristic actors design an action plan that allows to adding value in the developed offer to meet this new audience.Limitations: No significant studies were identified regarding the suitability of adestination vis-à-vis the emerging niche of digital nomads, which provides a novel character in this research.Originality/Value: The main limitation of the article is its exploratory nature, beingbased only on a superficial analysis with the absence of an empirical work supported by data collection from primary sources. Keywords: Touristic Destination, Digital Nomad, Terras de Trás-os-Montes, Tourism.

Resumen
Purpose: Outdoor tourism is a growing segment that still requires data for planning and management. Aimed to present the potential of the Geographic Information System (GIS) to improve outdoor tourism in the North of Portugal. To achieve this purpose, a case study was conducted on developing a Web-GIS in Northern Portugal.Methodology: Four steps were followed to develop the GIS tool with information about outdoor tourism in the North of Portugal. In the first step, municipalities in the North of Portugal sent information about outdoor activities. In the second step, the data were georeferenced and associated. In the last step, a Web-GIS was developed.Findings: The development of tools is an important source of support for tourism. This study identified that a tool such as the GIS could support a destination's decision-making and promotional processes, besides providing detailed information to the tourist and facilitating travel planning. Practical implications: GIS provides effective planning of outdoor tourism, once this tool allows an effective search of the tourist offer and, from the tourist's perspective, relevant suggestions of visits according to their location are presented, facilitating their experience in the region. Originality: Several studies relate to GIS and tourism, but there is still a gap in specific studies on outdoor activities. So, this study presents the importance of GIS to improve outdoor tourism in the North region of Portugal. Understanding this importance is essential in planning and managing tourism, helping further policymaking and marketing strategies. Keywords: GIS, tourism management, tourism planning, outdoor tourism, North of Portugal.

Resumen
Purpose – Quality management and supply chain management hybrid literature is growing, however, there is a paucity of such studies from Africa and Nigeria specifically. The study seeks to establish supply chain practices that benefit the most from quality management implementation, as well as establish which supply chain practice acts as the most reliable mediator in the relationship between quality management and organisational. These are literature gaps that have been exploited in this study.Design/methodology/approach – The study had a population of 804 manufacturing firms; and drew a sample of 267 firms. Analysis was done using percentages and a structural equation model.Findings – quality management as a strategy continues to prove relevant in manufacturing industries. Quality management had a significant effect on all measurement constructs of supply chain management except supply chain information sharing. The study reveals that quality management had the most impact on supplier partnership. Also, supplier relationship had most mediating effect on the relationship between quality management and organisational performance. Practical implications – Practitioners interested in improving supplier partnership, materials handling and efficient utilisation of resources should consider the use of quality management in their pursuit. As the study findings support these claims. The application of other operations strategies might be considered when trying to improve supplier relationship and customer relationship as the model reveals that quality management effect on these practices are very minimal.Originality/value – The study adds to the literature of quality and supply chain hybrid studies by considering the role of exclusive supply chain practices on quality management and organisational performance relationship in the Nigerian business context. The study also enriches the discussion by highlighting the effect of quality management on exclusive supply chain practices.

Resumen
Purpose: The present study aims to know, analyze, and create the brand identity of a collaborative store of small sustainable fashion brands. At the same time, it is also intended to create a strategic communication plan applied to this store.Methodology: In a first phase, apply a qualitative approach, initially with the exploration of case studies. Then, design methodologies are used for the practical part of brand creation, namely the Design Thinking Evolution 6 methodology.Findings: The results show that there is still little transparency in the approach to topics such as fashion and sustainability, although there is already a considerable offer.Practical implications: The emergence of sustainable fashion brands is ascendant, in this way it is important to build a cohesive identity and a structured communication plan as differentiating elements of brands in the market.Research limitations: As it is a preliminary approach, the present study has limitations in the final results, thus requiring a deeper understanding of it, as there are many communication topics that remain to be explored.Originality: It is intended that the concept behind this study is a good contribution to small fashion brands, of a sustainable nature, helping them both in creating their own brand identity and in structuring a strategic communication plan. Keywords: Sustainability, fashion, design, communication, transparency in fashion.

Resumen
Purpose: Currently it is possible to see different applications that are oriented towards the measurement of air quality and that have been implemented around the issue of performing a diagnosis of Air quality in order to develop IoT meteorological prototypes that allow the generation of the environmental welfare of the community.Methodology: For the particular case of this paper, the implementation in the Medellín and Cundinamarcaregion has been chosen in particular because they are urban centers where high air pollution can be observed and where it is necessary to carry out an intervention to protect the environment and the community. In general, and also with the solution to this case study, it seeks to belong to IoT networks that are dedicated to this task of protecting air quality worldwide, such as IQAir.Findings: The results obtained with the realization of this paper are reflected in the understanding of the operation of IoT and especially to understand that the coverage for Colombia is limited and when traveling to carry out the exploration in Medellín and investigate it was found that only sophisticated networks such as the network German Air Quality IQAir had this type of access and also that it was necessary not only to be a scientist to access this type of technology but also an entrepreneur because it is a remote telecommunications service of a dedicated and expensive type, which is why it can be used for Obtaining different ventures in Automation and Telecommunications.Originality: This paper has been unpublished because it is the result of a research process that takes around three years and where all of its content has not been published in any physical or digital written medium. Keywords: Air, Broadband, Band, Quality, Electronics, IoT, Networks, 4G/5G, IQAir.

Resumen
Purpose: The modernization of the administration is a present theme in times with the constraints that present times have posed, as is the case of pandemic. Since public administration is a unique issue in society, the study of this theme should not be ignored.Methodology: In this article you will find, through a meta-analysis, a summary of what has been studied in the area of administrative modernization in the last twenty years. The data survey was carried out via Google Scholar. Results: After careful analysis of the collected data, it was concluded that there is a large percentage of empirical studies in what concerns this area, in the most diverse areas of knowledge, however without a great capacity to replicate them. Limitations: The option for restrictive criteria in the search may have led to certain articles having gone unnoticed. Furthermore, depending on the country of origin of the research, the terms used to refer to the theme may be different from those used in this one, which may also influence the results.Originality: This study brings to the surface important results for the research area, namely to understand how the theme has been studied and, if necessary, to give a new direction to its study. It is thus an article with an associated prescriptive aspect. Keywords: Modernization of administration; Google Scholar; Meta-analysis.

Resumen
Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to analyze if there is a positive relationship between corporate reputation communication through media ranking and stock liquidity.Methodology: A model based on firms' financial market data was estimated, through a panel data analysis that included 18,444 observations, from a full sample of 348 firms listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), half of which were listed in the 2015 ranking of Fortune's World’s Most Admired Companies (WMAC).Findings: The results show that there is a positive relationship between corporate reputation communication and the stocks liquidity, since firms listed in the Fortune Ranking have higher liquidity than firms that are not listed, and firms classified with a high rank have higher liquidity than firms classified with a low rank.Originality: Stock liquidity is important to obtain financing resources to invest in profitable projects that increase the firm value. On the other hand, it is recognized by the literature that corporate reputation has a strong influence on firm performance. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study that addresses the analysis of the relationship between corporate reputation and stock liquidity. Therefore, this study may provide important insights into the firms’ management, for the investor’s decisions and the government policies. Capital markets react ever more to market stimuli, including investor and consumer perceptions, which may influence the stock trade level. The identification of additional drivers of a firm’s stock liquidity improves decision-making.Keywords: Corporate Reputation, Liquidity, Amihud Illiquidity, Market Illiquidity.

Resumen
Purpose: The goal of this study is to investigate the factors that led to the enrollment into Higher Education by students. The changes in the higher education sector pertaining to the last years re-enforced the need to develop effective strategies to attract students in order to ensure that Higher Education Institutions (HEI) have enough funds to guarantee their subsistence in increasingly competitive market.Methodology: Aside from the initial literature review, there was the employment of a quantitative methodology through the use of a questionnaire to a sample of 144 higher education students to achieve the goal of the study. Subsequently, the results were exposed and analyzed using descriptive statistics and a series of recommendations were made according to the results.Findings: The results reveal that the students within the studied sample valued the prestige and image of the institution and professional reasons. The factor that weighted their decisions the less was the opinion or third parties' pressure.Research Limitations: By analyzing the perceptions of students who already attend higher education, we are basing on the belief that they remember the factors that impacted their decision a few months or even years ago. The sample size is another imperfection of the study, since a sample of 144 students cannot be representative of the population under analysis and, therefore, the conclusions cannot be generalized.Practical implications: This study may have practical implications in the sense that, by knowing the factors valued by students, one can rethink recruitment policies to increase applications, which in parallel will increase funding and contribute to organizational success. Concluding that students value prestige, reputation, and employability, it might make sense to implement strategies that enhance these organizational characteristics to attract students and ensure institutional sustainability.Originality/Value: Although competitiveness in HEI has become a topic of immense debate in the academy, there are still very few studies that focus specifically on the mobilization of efforts towards attracting students, especially in Portugal. Thus, the present study sought to fill this literary gap. Keywords: Higher Education Institutions; Competition; Attracting Students; Students Satisfaction and Retention.

Resumen
Purpose: This paper aims to investigate whether fair value is used in the largest Portuguese companies as a measurement basis for non-current assets and to analyze the degree of compliance of the disclosure requirements on fair value measurement in these assets.Methodology: The content analysis methodology was used, analyzing the Reports and Accounts and the Auditor Report for 2019 and 2020 of 59 large companies operating in Portugal. Subsequently, developed a Disclosure Index to measure the level of compliance with the disclosure requirements on fair value measurement in the non-current assets.Findings: The findings indicate that: (a) 59,3% of the sample do not use the fair value, as a measurement basis for non-current assets; (b) investment properties are the asset with the largest number of companies using the fair value measurement, but the average index of compliance is only 0.07; (c) non-compliance of most of the disclosure requirements required by accounting standards (global average index value =0,13).The highest disclosure index is related to the tangible assets and biological assets.Research limitations: This study has as a limitation the small size of the sample. On the other hand, the subjectivity inherent to the content analysis of the reports is also pointed out as a limitation of the adopted methodology.Originality: This study contributes to the literature, focusing its analysis on a broader set of non-current assets (tangible and intangible assets, investment properties and biologic assets), contrary to other studies which focus only on one or two types of non-current assets. Keywords: Fair Value, Subsequent measurement, Non-current assets, Compliance, Disclosure requirements, Disclosure index.
