Este artículo trata de una revisión de las teorías de Jean Piaget y Noam Chomsky sobre el origen del lenguaje y el conocimiento, para obtener reflexiones que guíen una síntesis entre ambas. El propósito es argumentar en favor de la necesidad de un Nuevo humanismo, una formulación ético-filosófica y epistemológica impulsada por la Cátedra Ibn Jaldún, un grupo de académicos del Centro de Estudios Generales de la Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica. El constructivismo, la epistemología genética y la psicogénesis del conocimiento, son aportados por Piaget, y las aportaciones de Chomsky son la gramática generativa, las estructuras innatas y la disciplina de la psicolingüística. Ambas representan revoluciones científicas que dieron fin a la tabula rasa, pero también se muestran irreconciliables pues contrastan estructuras innatas y estructuras transformacionales. Esto es importante para el humanismo, porque entender el conocimiento y el lenguaje como facultades biológicas y al sujeto epistémico como centro de su desarrollo progresivo, nos acerca al planteamiento de un humanismo en sentido biológico, es decir, a la descripción de una tendencia innata a la autoemancipación[1], genéticamente determinada y con leyes de composición sistémicas.  

La escritora española Rosa Montero ha creado con su trilogía de la detective Bruna Husky un mundo futurista en el Madrid del año 2109. Dicha serie se compone de las obras Lágrimas en la lluvia (2011), El peso del corazón (2015) y Los tiempos del odio (2018), las cuales presentan una continua conexión estética, temática y filosófica con la película Blade Runner (versiones de 1982 y 2007). Montero crea una relación simbiótica del tipo intertextual entre la primera de estas novelas y los filmes citados. Este artículo propone analizar comparativamente esta dinámica de metaficción en la que la escritora incorpora, en la primera novela de esta trilogía, elementos de la película, a fin de desarrollar un análisis poshumanista del papel del detective cyborg y sus disyuntivas de identidad. Se estudia también la reacción de los y las seguidoras de la novela y cine detectivesco noir.

The current social challenges of contact and relationships with other people in the face of the necessary protection from the risk of contagion of the coronavirus and life in capital letters, requires an understanding on the part of higher education authorities worldwide. This article describes the behavior trends, in social relationships and daily life, by the student population from the National University of Costa Rica (UNA), Chorotega Branch Campus Liberia, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. 182 students were involved, under a descriptive phase quantitative study. The results of the study indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic caused social distancing in the population under study, altering trends in behavior, lifestyle, which in the face of confinement abruptly modified social contact, causing an exponential increase in the use of technological tools to mediate communication.

The objective of this research was to establish whether there are repercussions in adulthood after having experienced the palliative care disease process of a minor sibling during childhood or adolescence. The study follows a qualitative approach, a systematic design in grounded theory, and a typical case sample of four adults and two specialists in the subject. Both positive and negative effects were identified. Greater sensitivity to human pain, ease of empathy, and independence when making decisions were among the positive repercussions. The negative ones included fear of being vulnerable, difficulty relating to their parents, high-risk behaviors, among others.

Roman forums are complex architectural spaces of variable functionality throughout their evolution during the Roman civilization, which integrated an ample variety of building typologies. These typologies are the result of a specific product of a specific function, mainly a public one, which complied with a unique Roman order and systematization spread throughout the entire geography of their empire. Therefore, it is worth making an analysis that allows us to know and understand, to the extent that archaeological investigations make it possible, the materials, systems and construction techniques used to shape an architectural language with a great imprint on the city, its inhabitants and its urban layout.
