Resumen
Society's demand for foods with high organoleptic and nutraceutical quality requires studies that identify superior cultivars and nutritional management that provides gains in quality attributes. The attributes pH, soluble solids (SS), titratable acidity (TA), SS/TA ratio, total contend of flavonoids (FVT), anthocyanins (ATC), phenols compounds (TPC), vitamin C (Vit C) and total antioxidant activity (TAA) of pseudofruits of two cultivars of short days (Pircinque and Jônica) and two of neutral days (Albion and San Andreas) submitted to spraying with water or nutrients (PAN) (B, Zn and B + Zn) under semi-hydroponic system in Alto Vale do Itajaí/SC, Brazil. Pseudofruits from short-day cultivars have higher SS content and SS/AT ratio. PAN does not influence pH, SS, AT and SS/AT ratio. Strawberries from Jônica and Albion stand out for their high Vit C content. The application of Zn increases Vit C of the cultivars. The variation found in the levels of FVT, ATC and TAA, is mainly due to the genetics of each cultivar. The TAA correlated positively with the FvT and ATC content and negatively with SS. Higher TAA were observed in decreasing order for San Andreas, Jônica, Albion and Pircinque. Pircinque strawberries are sweeter, with higher SS and SS/AT ratio, but with lower TAA.

Resumen
The present study brings up the Racial and Ethnic Quota Policy in Higher Education from a perspective of social/distributive justice and the affirmation of black identity, based on the first experiences of the Institute of Society Sciences and Regional Development of the Fluminense Federal University (ESR / UFF) with the approval of Federal Law No. 12.711/2012, and the implementation of ENEM/SISU. This is a qualitative study, through bibliographic, documentary and field research, with the objective of analyzing, among other aspects, whether the policy contemplates the demands of its target audience, that is black quota students enrolled in the period from 2013 to 2015, in the institution's highest and lowest demand course. Based on the criteria proposed as an investigation, it can be considered that the issues involving the social and economic aspects of the Quota Policy stood out in the interviewees' testimonies. However, regarding the self-affirmation of black people, their identity and their social place, the policy has not yet been well worked, ratifying the issue of a positive identity, though lacking promotion for cultural justice.

Resumen
The global health crisis caused by the new coronavirus pandemic represents a moment of uncertainty. Due to the rapid spread of the virus and the absence of an appropriate contingency plan, some drugs began to be used preventively: chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, and azithromycin, especially in the fight against opportunistic infections such as pneumonia. However, the indication of these drugs quickly became controversial. The objective of this research was to conduct a literature review on the controversies of the indication of chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, associated or not, to azithromycin for the treatment of covid-19. The methodology used was the narrative review of the literature conducted from March 2020 to March 2021. The different authors were unanimous in stating that due to the difficulties imposed, there are great barriers to proving the use of chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, both due to the uncertainty of the research published so far and the dubious or even questionable quality of the methodologies used. It is concluded that to date there is no specific treatment for covid-19 due to the absence of robust results. Therefore, the scientific community will oppose the use of these two drugs until data from well-designed clinical trials are published, with a greater number of participants, clearer methodologies, and more consistent results.

Resumen
In this study we aimed to investigate the action of light and pre-germinative temperature treatments on the imbibition of Alcantarea imperialis seeds. The seeds were arranged in experimental units of 25 seeds without previous disinfestation treatment, subjected to high and low temperatures, and the absence and presence of light. The results revealed the germination of A. imperialis seeds only in the presence of light, showing differences in water absorption between temperature treatments over time and confirming the triphasic imbibition behavior. Despite the differences found between treatments, germination was low, suggesting that the process may have been influenced by seed viability and purely physical water processes. According to this, the importance of disinfestation procedures and vigor tests are emphasized, as well as the need for future studies on the water relations of seeds of this species.

Resumen
In this work we analyze how the aesthetic expression of collectives in the city of Teresina (Piaui, Brazil) is related to the decolonial argument, especially from the perspective of the intellectuals of Modernity-Coloniality Group. A qualitative field research was carried out with collective formations from Teresina, based on the apprehension of interviews with their members, in focus group sessions; and the selection of posts on their social media Facebook and Instagram. The data were interpreted by the method of Critical Discourse Analysis, in the Faircloughian dialectical-relational aspect. The results showed that these groups represent an important face of contemporary activism, as they evoke sensations and perception processes that dialogue with diversity. In this sense, we conclude that clothing, artifacts, and corporeities/performances are used to offer visibility to groups socially excluded by the colonial-modern logic, awakening other sensations and perceptions about the standardization and universalization of ways of being and living.

Resumen
In the early 2000s, the debates and clashes over the adoption of affirmative actions, especially through the reservation of vacancies for the black population, the so-called racial quotas, strained the academic scenario. In this article, I use the memory of my academic trajectory from student to university professor during the process of discussion and implementation of racial quotas in Brazil to highlight facts and debates on the topic in focus. In the period between 2000-2012, I will name it as the open path “to the machete” in favor of racial quotas, in which the intensification and polarization contrary to the discussion were felt, as well as the confrontation with the adverse context. From 2012 to the present, I will name it the “scalpel” moment in which the affirmative action policy has legal support and effectiveness in Brazilian society, but it is still fought by its detractors.

Resumen
Floods require interventions by the public authorities to prevent them in the urbanized area of the Córrego Ipiranga Watershed (BHCI) in Juiz de Fora, Brazil. This research analyzes the dynamics of these disorders in the region and points out mitigating actions for implementation in the watershed. Through documentary research and geoprocessing tools, data on hydrology, rainfall, morphology, and land use were collected and generated to characterize the region and point out sustainable interventions and their locations around the Teixeiras and Ipiranga streams, identified as the most impacted in the watershed. Due to the current occupation of the BHCI, it is noteworthy that the proposed actions aim to mitigate the damage, not being able to prevent flooding and inundation, especially in situations of maximum flows. Among the proposed mitigating interventions, permeable sidewalks, rain gardens, and detention basins stand out. If implemented in the watershed — besides improving the communities' life quality — these green infrastructure elements increase soil permeability, thus reducing water accumulation on the surface.

Resumen
Foods with functional claims have gained prominence due to the health benefits associated with their consumption. Most dairy products come from fermentation by lactic acid bacteria (LAB). This group of microorganisms plays a major role in the fermentation of food products. There are several strains on the market, which are used in the manufacture of dairy products. In addition to sensory characterization, it is known that some strains of LAB have probiotic functions. In view of this, this study aimed to verify the main LAB genera used in the production of fermented dairy products and their probiotic functionality. From the bibliographic review in the present work, it was possible to highlight the contributions that the insertion of probiotic LAB in human food can add to health, as well as which species are already authorized by the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) in the production of food and those that are in the authorization/evaluation process.

Resumen
The excessive use of pesticides in Brazil, a country that stands out for its agricultural activity, can increase the risk of human and environmental contamination. Among these, there is glyphosate, a non-selective herbicide, which had its consumption increased with the use of transgenic seeds in extensive agriculture. Several studies have shown the potential for intoxication by chronic exposure to glyphosate, which can interfere with the human endocrine system and cause diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. In addition, there are reports associated with gastrointestinal disorders, with the potential to influence obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. This article aims to carry out a survey on the use of pesticides and the possible harm to the health of rural workers, with emphasis on the herbicide glyphosate. In addition, we carried out a survey of measures to protect and control the use of glyphosate in the daily life of rural workers.
