This work focuses on examining some of the pasta and current funerary customs of a Yucatecan people town today. It focuses, above all, on a series of precepts that people must keep to a tree or ram, in the Mayan language, k’ojobché ’or k’ojonché’ that served as the main instrument when burying the deceased. The objective is to describe and interpret the cultural practice of offering him, until today, cigarettes and liquor, as well as keeping him respect and even a certain fear. An interpretation of the "resistance" of the local people to abandon this custom is proposed even when the practical use of said instrument is no longer valid. The main material on which this work is based is a short, unpublished writing by a professor of the town and of popular knowledge about this cultural phenomenon. The conclusion is that the tree represents, in symbolic terms, a person, but a person with a strong stigma for the work he performed and the cultural practices associated with the burial and funeral of people: the gravedigger.

This photo essay describes the cosmovision about the teonanácatl entheogen in Nahuatl, ndxisti-santo in Mazateca or also known as sacred fungus (Psyilocybe aztecorum) as a social imaginary, which symbolizes the otherness that exists between two ontological spaces, one concerning the world we inhabit and one from the holy world.

The article aims to study the dispossession of land experienced by indigenous Mayan families of a sub-province in the state of Yucatán. Perceptions were analyzed such as the subjective dimension of the territory to explain the symbolic and material aspect of the space appropriation. The memory of social injustice highlights the importance for the analysis of the power relations from the intersection race-gender. It is essential to present the social injustice the Mayan women suffer through their legalized exclusion by the State in the Mexican agriculture. Ethnography was conducted from August 2018 to January 2020, from observation and interview life story, to make those affected visible. In conclusion, the State, from its various levels, federal, state, and municipal, along with other entities, such as Non-Governmental Organizations, universities, and power groups generate oppression and marginalization, by failing to respect the indigenous rights agreed in the convention 169 of the International Labor Organization in 1989.

The Covid-19 pandemic had a broad impact on people's lives. Educational processes were affected due to the fact that schools had to change from a face-to-face to a virtual modality abruptly in order to provide continuity to the educational process. This article aims to analyze the didactic materials and strategies used by teachers during the confinement period, based on a review following an argumentative approach of some research published between 2020 and 2021that described university experiences during Covid-19, considering the type of subject and the perception of students in this regard. As a main result, difficulties were identified as a consequence of the contents being transformed as they were already without considering the advantages of online education; however, despite the situation, professors identified methods that could be used during their classes. Due to the lack of time to carry out an adequate planning and structuring of the courses, an Emergency Remote Teaching (ERE) was adopted, a situation that made teachers and students unprepared for a totally online teaching, mainly causing a negative perception.

The transition toward distance learning, due to an indication to close schools for COVID-19, modified the process of teaching and learning math of students with special educational needs. With this scenario, this paper focuses on analyzing the problems of mathematics education through inclusion in distance education with the aim of identifying the challenges of the mathematics education of these students during the pandemic. Based on the analysis of the literature framed in mathematics education and inclusive education, we found that the difficulties these students deal with when learning mathematics are: a) difficulties in the development of teaching strategies in mathematics supportive by technology, b) disconnection between the curriculum and resources with features, needs and specific context of these students, c) difficulties in collaborative between teachers, parents and specialist teachers, and d) limited or lacking curricular adjustments. Findings suggest developing specific and varied programs to help learning mathematics in students based on their needs, difficulties, and particular context.
