The circumstantial conflict between the kingdoms of Hamath and Arpad/Bit-Agusi turned into a regional problem because it occurred on access routes to the southern Levant, a region of independent territories on which Assyria intends to implement its provincial system. Therefore, the solution to the conflict concerns the imperial structure created by Assyria in the ancient Near East. The monument is represented as a social agent or Aramaean index that founds a new political program in the face of the sieges of the Neo-Assyrian empire. This research aims to expose the Antakya monument in the political geography of northern Levant. In the monument’s historiographical exposition, the political geography of which Hamat and Arpad/Bit-Agusi were part will be highlighted, as well as the ancient cultural integrations in the Orontes valley, aiming to analyze the conflict caused by the demarcation of the borders.

Translation of On the vices opposed to the virtues, of Evagrius Ponticus, with a brief introduction. This text is probably an oppuscule that accompanied To Eulogius, which is an introduction to the basic elements of monastic life, being thus also called, Second Discourse to Eulogius. On the vices opposed to the virtues describes in condensed form To Eulogius and presents synthetically the basic doctrine of the division (in 8 or 9) of the demons that fight humans and especially the desert monks. On the vices opposed to the virtues are a description in a poetic and definitory way, in the literary form of hóroi kai epigraphaí (definitions and inscriptions), of these demons/passions and its opposing virtues: gluttony and abstinence, fornication and chastity, avarice and freedom from possessions, sadness and joy, anger and patience, acedia and perseverance, vainglory and freedom from vainglory, jealousy and freedom from jealousy, pride and humility. These definitions (around 15 for each of the vices and virtues) are composed mostly of two related terms, in which one qualifies the other, some of them in a metaphoric way, indicating a complex and very well-articulated system. The Greek text was established by Fogielman (2017).

In this article, we seek to study the occurrence of the word νόστος at the Lycophron’s poem Alexandra. At first glance, the poem seems populated by the various returns of the Greeks, after the war in Troy ended; looking at it more closely, however, one finds out that the Alexandra interweaves rather their non-returns since it is always a shipwreck or a catastrophe that awaits the Hellene returnees. One finds the motive of such reversal in the fate of the poem’s own narrator, Alexandra-Cassandra: having been raped by Ajax, she had her outrage revenged by Athene, in whose temple the violence was perpetrated. Thereby the aggression suffered by Cassandra reverberates into the future, causing the ruin of many Greeks. Taking a small detour on our route, we find in Freud, in his description of trauma, the return of a disruptive and irreversible situation, which reverberates into the future: he who is traumatized is compelled to return repeatedly to the traumatic situation. It is a scheme similar to that of Lycophron’s narrative, but, if in Freud repetition is operated before the words, in the Hellenistic poem what we have is an almost incomprehensible plethora of words (Cassandra’s prophecies). Thus, we would be between two extremes of language – between them, the trauma, the fate, and the impossible return to the thing that forces us to say anything.

This article aims to establish a parallel, under a comparative approach, between the protagonists of the tragedy Antigone, by Sophocles, and the narrative “Matamoros (da fantasia)”, by Hilda Hilst. Devoted to her brother Polynices, Antigone transgresses the laws of the city to obey only the imperative of her desire, as ventilated by Jacques Lacan (2008) and suggested in Trajano Vieira’s translation (2009). Imbued with the impetus of a tragic heroine, Maria Matamoros follows her irreducible passion for the figure of Meu, abandoning herself to a gesture of self-flagellation. Based on Davi Andrade Pimentel’s (2009) reading, the punishment itself brings her closer, to some extent, to the Greek tragedies. Under excessive and sweeping páthos, the protagonists drive their choices to ultimate limits. Given the link between sacrifice and love (Bataille, 2017), both plots portray amorous surrender as a legitimate experience of transgression and destruction. In short, passion blurs the boundaries between eros and death.

This paper presents the preliminary results of a survey among the occurrences of Akkadian root, šrh, which is known as the basic verbal form šarāhu as well. This root has its main meaning connected to the semantic field of splendour and magnificence. In the Assyrian Royal Inscriptions, this root implies luminosity and visual perception, and it carries, we argue, a material meaning. Thus, there is an association between the semantic field of splendour, with connotations related to light, brightness and radiance, and a material dimension.

We propose a detailed analysis of a letter written by Pliny the Younger, the letter III.5, commenting on the Latin text. The letter is addressed to the consular senator Baebius Macrus, whose main subject is the work and life of his uncle, Pliny the Elder. Famous for explaining the life of one of Ancient Rome’s most outstanding scholars, the letter is well adorned and portrays an exaggerated reality with clear goals: to give the letter’s author laurels inherited from his uncle’s supernatural efforts.

Introduction: In this study, the suitability of selecting elite athletes from an early age was examined. Objective: The objective of this study was to verify if the behavior identified in previous research also occurs among the world's best athletes of all time who compete in the 100-meter race. Materials and methods: For this, and based on an analysis of the official classifications of all times for men and women of the International Association of Athletics Federations in the referred test , samples were used in absolute category (Top-1,000 up to the 12/31/2018) and sub -20 category (Top - 100 until 12/31/2003); power laws and other strategies typical of complex systems will be applied to analyze the data .Results: The results show how, all too often, the best male and female runners in the world in the under-20 category do not evolve positively during the rest of their sports career. improving their records in the higher categories. Only 51 men out of the top 100 U-20 runners of all time managed to improve their times once they reached the senior category, and the improvements did not always show statistically significant progressions. Consequently, an excessive investment in human and material resources to identify individuals with high athletic abilities is not always the best strategy. Conclusions: level sport at an early age can be a methodological error that should be avoided when building the sports reserves of a country or sports federation.

The individualized training of specific races with resisted means is an important tool for the improvement of speed. Due to the demand of this capacity for the good performance of baseball players, the objective of this study is to design a sprint training using sled and parachute. A quasi-experiment is planned, with two groups: control and experimental and in two moments: pre-test and post-test. The experimental stage is developed during the pre-season, conformed by a sample of ten subjects with 20.84 years of age and 79 82kg. of average weight. Theoretical methods used were analytical synthetic, inductive-deductive, historical-logical and systemic-structural-functional. The empirical methods were content analysis, observation and measurement. For the measurement of linear speed, the variables analyzed are the 60-yard test and the maximum strength tests of the sled and squat. The results achieved indicated significant improvements in the experimental group in the three tests performed, with % increases equal to 3.48, 7.25 and 7.46 respectively. In addition, it is obtained that there is a high correlation between the maximum strength of the sled and the squat with respect to the weight of the athletes' effort performance, with Pearson coefficients equal to 63.6 % and 62.9 % respectively and for a 95 % of confidence. It is demonstrated that resisted training provides key information in the maximum velocity phase for the improvement of sprint performance in baseball.

Introduction: COVID-19 generated multiple crises in humanity and challenges in the academic and professional performance of physicians. The objective is to analyze, from the perspective of complexity and transdisciplinarity, the perception that physicians have about their academic and ethical performance and how they consider that it affects the socio-emotional aspect. Method: Individual and focus group interviews were conducted with front-line pshysicians who work in COVID-19 hospitals in the State of Chihuahua. The information was processed with the support of the hermeneutic unit of the Atlas.ti word processor. Results: Ethical performance is a key factor. Their transdisciplinary analysis revealed that it goes beyond the application of the values of the profession; it implies personal care and the decision that must be made about who lives and who dies. This bioethical challenge affects their socio-emotional aspect and their human condition. Conclusions: The perception of ethical performance is related to self-care, bioethical decisions, and the lack of continuous training. Its socio-emotional affectation is related with anxiety and stress generated by fear and uncertainty. According with these results, medical training should be innovated.
