Resumen
Executive compensation is an important mechanism of corporate governance for banks, but its effect on bank risk remains inconclusive. Based on a sample of banks listed in China, we uncover a significantly positive relationship between executive compensation and bank risk during the 2007–2018 period. The finding is robust to model specifications, the risk measures used, and the way to calculate executive compensation.

Resumen
The purpose of this study was to explore if there were differences between a group of Dominican sixth grade students that received project USAID-Read’s literacy intervention for two years and six months (n = 10,736) vs. the scores of students from a control group (n =11,135). Methods: This is a secondary data analysis from the sixth-grade national diagnostic evaluation from the Dominican Ministry of Education conducted in 2018 that assessed sixth-grade students' performance in language, math, science, and social studies. Results: The study found that students from project USAID-Read outperformed students from the control group in language and math. Students with the highest categorical scores in language and math were 13% and 56% more likely to belong to project USAID-Read, respectively. Discussion: This study shows the positive effects of a science-based reading intervention that consisted of teacher training, teacher mentoring, and providing students with systematic reading practice with reading materials created for this purpose.

Method: 3 educational centers, with a population of 48 three- and four-year-old children. Two scales (CBCL-TRF and EOEI) pre and post intervention. SPSS was applied for mean difference analysis for paired samples and Atlas.ti for qualitative analysis. The results show significant differences before and after the intervention. Parents point out that they are given parenting guidelines and behavioral changes with more discipline and obedience.

Resumen
Based on a health emergency crisis that forces educational institutions to close and abruptly change the way of teaching face-to-face classes in order to continue the school year, this research takes the Autonomous University of Chihuahua as a case study, with the objective of exploring experiences and challenges, as well as learning about the acquisition of new skills by teachers who teach face-to-face classes and who, with the sudden change of scenery, had to face the way of teaching their classes to emergency remote teaching, also known as ERT.
The present study is a quantitative descriptive research study, cross-correlational, with non-probabilistic sampling of voluntary participants; As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire was used where 33 questions were elaborated, 5 of which were of a rating scale (Likert type), 4 of dichotomous type, 8 of multiple choice, 13 of multiple response and 3 open-ended questions to collect the narratives of teachers' experiences; It is applied to 368 teachers who teach face-to-face, virtual classes and both modalities. The research results show the impact that it has generated on face-to-face teachers in the face of an emergency crisis, such as COVID-19, mostly reflecting that it is not clear difference of a virtual class, distance learning or remote teaching; It is highlighted that the teacher has had to develop new digital skills, reflecting new challenges and difficulties, added to this, socio-affective experiences that influence during the teaching process under emergency remote teaching to be able to continue with their classes and finish the school term.

Resumen
Subjectivities, common knowledge, and perceptions about the gender category were identified based on speeches of undergraduate students from the Universidad Veracruzana; using the qualitative methodology from the interpretive paradigm. The analysis was structured based on Moscovici's (1979) social representations approach, and the discursive technique through open-ended questions, using an ad hoc method associated with levels of analysis. For the discursive text analysis, IraMuteQ was used (Molina-Neira, 2017); this allowed the construction of a word cloud and a similarity tree to capture the social representation built on the gender category, as well as its central core and peripheral elements (Abric, 1994). The findings focus on formulations and stigmatizations reproduced over time and associated with characteristics about what a man or woman should be, as well as the pursuit of equality, equity, and non-discrimination. One of the conclusions, consistent with other research studies, shows that there is an association between society and violence, around gender that makes us realize that they are young inheritors of cultural constraints that have permeated their ways of being and acting, persisting stigmas that could be deconstructed or changed.

Resumen
The general objective of this research is to develop a monthly lesson plan for the improvement of the teaching and learning of climate change and to promote the acquisition of ecological awareness in students. To carry out this research, a questionnaire was applied to 26 students of the 4th year of secondary school, from which a focus group was carried out to integrate their perspectives and, finally, an interview was carried out with 4 teachers from the Natural Sciences area to find out their ideas on the importance of developing ecological awareness and suitable strategies for this purpose. With an integration and analysis of the information obtained, a didactic guide was made that fulfills the purpose of guiding the teaching of climate change as a firm ecological awareness is developed through significant activities that will allow them to understand the repercussion of the activity. human in ecosystems and biodiversity. It is evident in the students a confused and weak knowledge about climate change influenced mainly by social networks; the teachers were aware of the importance of teaching climate change and the development of ecological awareness in students and showed knowledge of effective strategies for such purposes.

Resumen
Mutual funds are frequently classified according to their investment objective; however, this methodology does not guarantee that the products formed in the same group have a similar level of return, risk, and performance. For this reason, this study proposes a classification method using the conglomerate analysis technique for the 92 mutual funds in the Costa Rican market. As a result, it was possible to separate the 92 mutual funds into 8 different groups by the grouping method called partition around medoids (PAM). This proposal can facilitate investors and other actors better strategic planning and decision making from a financial perspective.
