Resumen
Most studies on work life balance (WLB) assume that this challenge concerns basically women. This article studies the support and difficulties, that fathers involved with the care of their children encounter at work when trying to balance work and family life. We explore the following questions: (a) why fathers prefer some job adaptations over others; (b) how organizational cultures influence work life balance of involved fathers; and (c) what differences exist according to type and size of job sectors. We have chosen a qualitative methodology based on discussion groups with involved fathers employed in the public sector, as well as large and small companies. Our results show that the design of policies and the organizational cultures interact and influence fathers WLB, having found that newly created small companies sometimes offer better WLB conditions than larger ones.

Resumen
On September 1983 the command of the Nicaraguan Democratic Force (FDN) finished writing The Blue and White Book (LAyB). Two thousand copies were printed in Honduras under the editorial seal of the FDN Communications Center, and in 1984 were given to members of the armed organization who would enter Nicaragua from Honduras. It was a code of conduct and an ideological manual that sought to prepare the combatants to deal with the villagers and to take advantage of these opportunities to explain their struggle and recruit them. On 2001 the document was declassified from the National Security Archives (NSA). The objective of this article is to analyze the ideology of the FDN through the LAyB with the purpose of determining the causes of the counterrevolutionary uprising, to understand the strategies planned to add armed followers to the Contra and the logic behind their struggle, for which other counterrevolutionary documents produced at the time are also used.

Resumen
This article analyzes the historical memory of the intervention and repression suffered by the University of El Salvador (UES) during the political violence of the 1970s and the civil war from 1980 to 1992 documented in the journal La Universidad. To achieve the above, a content analysis is applied to the articles that refer to the experience lived by the university during that period. The authors analyzed emphasize that the UES was repressed due to the historical identification it has had with the interests of the subaltern classes, which was interpreted as a threat by the dominant elite and the military governments. La Universidad is constituted as a space for the recovery of institutional historical memory, keeping alive the memory of the repression suffered and incorporating this experience into the identity of the UES. The foregoing is an important input to support legal processes that lead to ending impunity for these events and demand that the university be compensated.
