Resumen
La diferenciación entre las variantes normales de la osificación y las fracturas en pacientes pediátricos y adolescentes con traumatismos de hombro es un desafío diagnóstico común. Presentamos el caso de un varón de 14 años que, tras un traumatismo deportivo, fue inicialmente diagnosticado con una fractura glenoidea sobre la base de estudios radiográficos y tomográficos. Una evaluación posterior, que incluyó un examen físico detallado y radiografías contralaterales, reveló que la supuesta fractura correspondía a la osificación normal de los centros de crecimiento escapulares. Este caso subraya la importancia del conocimiento profundo de la anatomía del desarrollo, del examen clínico exhaustivo y el uso de estudios comparativos para evitar diagnósticoserróneos y tratamientos innecesarios en esta población.

Resumen
El tratamiento incruento es el más frecuente para la luxación simple de codo. Luego de la reducción de una luxación de codo, es importante la evaluación clínica y el diagnóstico de los estabilizadores lesionados. En algunos casos, se impone la cirugía de reparación o reconstrucción ligamentaria. Los resultados suelen ser previsibles, se logra un codo funcional y la tasa de complicaciones es baja. El objetivo de este artículo es presentar una puesta al día del manejo diagnóstico y terapéutico de las luxaciones agudas de codo.

Resumen
In Latin America in recent decades, university education has undergone a process of expansion and increased presence of previously underrepresented groups. This research examines the relationship between university student diversity in Chile, their perception of institutional inclusive management and its relationship with academic satisfaction. In a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional study, 2204 students from seven universities participated. The Inclusive Management in Tertiary Institutions Scale (IMTIS) was used. Participants who perceived a collaborative community reported higher academic satisfaction, while those from traditionally underrepresented groups reported lower satisfaction. The social implications of inclusive management are discussed.

Resumen
The main objective of this critical essay is to provide a referential socio-behavioral theoretical framework for research on emotions, personality and interpersonal relationships linked to academic performance in mathematics. This is because the affective experience, personality traits and cooperative tendencies present in mathematics students require a study capable of integrating theoretical and conceptual background regarding these dimensions. The main results reported here are the existence of positive relationships between cooperation and academic performance, as well as the importance of the emotional component to the relationship between affective dimensions and academic performance.

Resumen
The expansion of higher education coverage in Mexico enjoys broad consensus. All stakeholders recognize the multiple benefits that such growth would bring to the country's development and community well-being. However, there is less certainty about the direction this process might take, as well as its policy implications. Among other concerns are the pace of enrollment expansion, the inclusion of non-traditional social groups, the quality of services, and financing. This paper identifies some of the obstacles that could inhibit enrollment growth and proposes strategies to overcome them.

Resumen
Higher education in Latin America and the Caribbean is a territory populated by contrasts, tensions and accumulated challenges. The expansion observed in recent decades in terms of enrollment, institutions and teaching staff has been sustained despite the contextual, financial and political restrictions that national governments have implemented over recent years. Under these conditions, thinking about the future of higher education in the region is an intellectual and political challenge that requires an approach that combines strategic foresight and anticipatory governance, which is capable of identifying the features of the complexity of possible future scenarios for education. tertiary towards the year 2050, as well as stating some regional policies that both at the national and subnational levels allow achieving the best possible scenarios in terms of quality, equity, coverage and social impact.

Resumen
This paper reviews studies in the field of Reading from a cognitive perspective, in order to analyze the main factors that affect the comprehension process, determine how they interact during the Reading process and define their educational suggestions in Higher Education. To fulfill these purposes, factors dependent on the reader, the text and the type of task are reviewed; the effect of their interaction during comprehension process is analyzed; and its educational application is comtemplated taking into account the idiosyncratic characteristics of university context. As a conclusión, future lines of research are defined.
