For decades, Guatemala has deployed a wide range of development interventions aimed at strengthening food security and improving the nutritional well-being of the Guatemalan population, but the prevalence of hunger and malnutrition, especially among children, remains an unresolved problem for national and international institutions and NGOs. For this article, a critical review has been made of the production of institutional information on both state public policies and the interventions of multilateral agencies and non-governmental organizations, pointing out the cultural deficit in actions to combat malnutrition. These results have been contrasted with the main references in the scientific literature on the subject, highlighting the need to address food and nutritional security in the country with solid cultural foundations. The nature of this work and its results underline the need for an anthropological perspective and cultural studies in public policies and development actions.

The work dedicated to the famous Manuelito Ugarte Gómez is circumscribed in the studies of the “History of Life”, because it rescues the experiences and ways of life of a group of kids who had to live a period in that the elementary rights of life were denied to us by the most perverse system in the history of our country, I refer to the Somoza Military Dictatorship (1936-1979). Faced with so many limitations of their own from what anthropology collects as denied and silenced cultures appears the figure of a child, whose Father was a captain of the FAN (National Air Force), who above the ideology he could having his offspring, Manuelito chose to live, live and harmonize with the poorest kids of the City of Puerto Cabezas (Bilwi). It is my intention, that this Life Story can be read by this protagonist as a deep recognition of all the moral, social and economic support that we he was able to toast in the seventies. While we suffered the onslaught of Somocismo in parallel the greatest glory of our country was brewing, the Sandinista Popular Revolution in 1979, architect of our elementary rights until we become part of the Faculties Project Preparatory without a doubt it was the greatest monumental work in educational matters, because it could shelter the workers, peasants, combatants and ex- combatants who gave our lives before and during the revolutionary process.

An empirical investigation is presented from the field of social anthropology during which the context of street prostitution in the La Merced neighborhood of Mexico City was observed in relation to women of middle age. The research was carried out over a period of two years, from 2018 to 2020, where information is collected that allows drawing the social relationships in which the women who carry out this work find themselves, highlighting other social roles such as being grandmothers, mothers, sisters and daughters in a prostitution system where their sense of agency is limited and the stigma attached to their trade makes them lead a double life. Likewise, the methodological difficulties to carry out the fieldwork are shown, starting with the cover-up of being a researcher for my own protection, that of the foundation’s staff and that of the women with whom it was shared due to the dynamics and the context of La Merced, hindering the use of data collection instruments and technological resources. Thus, the investigation was based not only on what was observed, heard and his field diary but also through drawings that were created through my dialectic, my sensations and the same sensitivity that the artist who made them expressed, accrediting a methodological flexibility. Therefore, what is found in the research through ethnographic work and the same illustrations are highlighted.

Pedagogy and architecture have educational purposes, because in essence, they accompany individuals in the perception and action of the world, determining to a great extent their physical, emotional and social intelligence. It reviews the teaching theories, the contextual reasons and the historical conditions that have configured these intentional spaces since the origin of the dissemination of knowledge, and reviews in more detail those theoretical spaces granted intentionally or unconsciously in a theoretical or practical way, the quality of those suggestions, whether they are theoretical or real architectural models, must highlight some qualities. It focuses on the space-school dedicated to the stage of formation of individuals on a regular basis and focuses on the experience of space, and based on its most illuminating components, the individual classifi cation of the didactic space was carried out. This essay was based on the application of the information approach, personal experience, life stories, observations, historical texts that are developed later. It is necessary to reconsider the educational space to adapt it to the current needs of the knowledge society, to reflect on architectural pedagogy from the perspective of integration between disciplines: architecture and pedagogy. Horizontality is far from establishing greater specialization and isolation, but it is essential. Society develops through mystification, by establishing common arguments, generating territories for encounter.

The intention of the article is to show part of the indigenous knowledge, in general, and of the popoluca culture, in particular; referring to the milpa system, exposing notions and productive practices, ceremonial and symbolic associated with the cultivation of corn in localities in the southern region of the state of Veracruz, Mexico; product of fi eldwork carried out between 1993-1995, as part of the Activities of the Project Sierra de Santa Marta A.C. (University of Carleton, Canada-National Autonomous University of Mexico). The methodology used was concretized with the application of in-depth interviews, the observation and transects in corn plots, mainly. The results of the work show the way in which the agricultural work between the popolucas represents a system that is covered with a complex logic through which man interacts, nature and the spiritual; in the process the mythical role of Jomshuk, God of corn, stands out.Ancestral.

The present study aimed to identify and analyze the health protocols adopted by the population of Belém (PA) in relation to the food purchased and consumed during the pandemic times of COVID-19. The survey was carried out by applying an online questionnaire to 385 city residents. The results show that the population of the capital of Pará is attentive to the care that must be followed when purchasing and handling food. However, in relation to the protocols with food prepared at home, the results were not satisfactory, as it was found that they are not prepared at high temperatures and thawing is performed at room temperature by most of the research participants. Although the scientific evidence on a possible contagion of the virus from food and packaging handling is very remote, it is important to frequently clean and disinfect the packaging of purchased products and hands, since the virus may be present on the surface of these.

The use of artificial intelligence in governments has increased in the last decade in several countries, acquiring greater importance in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Chatbots are one of the main tools that work based on artificial intelligence and have been used by governments to provide information and services to citizens, as well as for the follow-up, monitoring, and control of COVID-19. The use of these tools has generated ethical debates on the use of personal data, privacy, transparency, accountability, and the right of access to information. The objective of this work is to identify and analyze the main ethical concerns that emerge around the chatbots implemented in the Mexican government in the context of COVID-19; the cases of Susana Distancia and Dr. Armando Vaccuno are analyzed. The methodology consists of an open survey of citizen perception. The results show that the main ethical concerns are transparency, accountability, and privacy, which have generated a lack of trust on the part of citizens towards chatbots, that have resulted in a low level of use. To remedy this, it is necessary to eliminate the regulatory gaps around transparency and data protection involved in these modern technologies.
