Resumen
Accompanying the processes of innovation and transformation requires an up-to-date management team, aware of what is happening and open to promoting the implementation of projects that include Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as well as to accommodating institutional times and spaces that favor networking and collaboration. This article is aimed at reflecting on the professional development of managers through distance learning. Different methods at the theoretical level were used that allowed to interpret facts and data, analyze the information and specify different approaches for generalizing the process of professional development, particularly of managers.

Resumen
Evaluation of the social impact of master’s degree courses is a necessary process in order to know the achievements and difficulties of the program design and development, the management of the Academic Committee and the labor of professors and tutors. It also allows knowing the results of master’s degree courses concerning the professional development ofparticipants and the local growth of the program. This paper is aimed at proposing a methodology to self -evaluate the social impact of master’s degree courses according to the requirements set by the National Accreditation Board. The methodology includes four components: objective, methods and procedures as well as implementation and evaluation forms which based on their internal dynamics, becomes a methodological and practical tool to carry out self-evaluation.
The application of this methodology in the fourth, fifth and sixth editions of this master’s degree course of “Technologies in Educational Processes” allowed to corroborate the feasibility and validity of the instruments and ways of implementation andevaluation by using scientist methods in order to achieve the objective presented.

Resumen
The theoretical evolution of Pedagogy, marked by the accelerated development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), has enhanced the potential of mass media for teaching and has contributed to legitimize the existence of formal and informal learning forms, aspects that have allowed to determine educational communication as theobject of study of Pedagogy and Communication. The objective of this article is to delve into the theory on the relationship between communication and education. It is concluded that the communication process in the socio-pedagogical context reflects the indisputable link between communication and education as well as the use of mass media and digitaltechnologies in training processes.

The covid-19 pandemic situation has focused the teaching-learning process from other perspectives, where the application of didactic strategies through student assistants greatly favors the development of collaboration between students with different levels of development. The proposal presented pursues the objective of developing a strategy with student assistants for the online teaching-learning process in Cujae during the pandemic in the year 2021. The didactic strategy is offered based on the participatory action-research methodology for training online with assistant students and the main results obtained in a sample of 11 groups and 261 students of 1st and 4th year of the Civil Engineering career at Cujae. The intervention of the movement of assistant students in the distance learning process consolidates the work that promotes more flexible and significant learning instances for the student, it allows to accentuate the dialogical character of the educational process, it takes into consideration the importance of the links between the practical, emotional and cognitive aspects linked to the teaching-learning process and training in general. The application of the strategy made it possible to positively assess the experiences and a result obtained with the student assistants in online training at Cujae in 2021 and underlines its value through an important group of added skills that are trained both in the protagonist students and in the rest of those involved.

Resumen
University centers committed to human development must be health promoting universities where a better life quality for students and workers should be promoted in order to influence and act on work and social environments of their communities. The Scientific Chair of life Sciences at the Technological University of Havana "José Antonio Echeverría" is responsible for adapting the concepts and strategies as well as promoting health for the elderly within the university framework and its environment in correspondence with the Program for the Elderly in Cuba. The results of a holistic management model which was developed taking into account curricular aspects, through health research and actions carried out by students and workers, are presented. The methods used were curricular-oriented work, search for scientific information, identification of problems that affect the health of the Elderly and the development of solutions, student scientific work, community and scientific impact at national and international levels, as well as a methodology itself that introduces the model into practice by applying the new category of comprehensive training praxis. It is concluded that disease prevention and health promotion work can be multiplied, deepened and extended to the entire university and the community with more directed and personalized actions considering the link among curricular aspects, research and university extension activities

It is necessary to transform the development paradigm into one that leads along the path of sustainable development. The preparation of professionals must meet this requirement and strengthen comprehensive training. An interdisciplinary approach to economic, social and environmental aspects is then required. The curricular strategies respond to a conception of transversality of the curriculum and go beyond the contents of a subject. Cuban higher education recognizes the existence of several curricular strategies with these characteristics, but they do not operate in an integrated manner. At the proposal of the authors of this article, a "Curricular Training Strategy for Sustainable Development" was approved in the Architecture and Urbanism Career, which is integrated into the new curriculum. This article aims, from the understanding of this strategy, to demonstrate its application in the subject Environmental Conditioning I in the second year of the career. The following results are achieved: the study and preparation of the Strategy in the subject and career groups, the precision of the actions to be carried out in the subject and the partial control of the evaluation criteria. It is concluded in the possibility of the Strategy —in its application to a subject— to achieve an integrative and holistic approach of all the curricular strategies up to now considered and in the relevance of the Strategy in the systemic treatment of the problems that affect to the human being.

The computers have penetrated in the different spheres of the activity of the society, in particular the public health. The calculation experiments or computer-driven simulations, initially developed for the solution of problems from other sciences like the physics, are broadly used in public health in either epidemiology or medical investigation and constitute a teaching mean in the medical high education. The preparation of the new generations of health professionals so that they can assimilate the new technologies used in areas of the profession and their constant changes it is necessary. The professional software for the development of simulations in health sciences is not accessible to the students what implies to find alternative that allows its familiarization with these important tools. On the other hand for the physics course of pre-medical they don't have the necessary equipment of laboratory for the realization of real experiments. The objective of this work is to demonstrate the potentialities of the Java applets to familiarize to the students of the Premedical Course with the computer-driven simulations and its possibilities to satisfy the necessity of experimental activity before the lacks of real laboratories in the Preparatory Faculty. The contribution that is carried out resides in a proposal for the applets use for the experimental activity during the resolution of problems of the subject of Physics.

Every year young professionals from the central region of Cuba, mainly between Villa Clara and Camagüey, finish their studies of Automation Engineering at the Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas (UCLV). In spite of the Good preparation they show in the places where they start working, many of them do not develop their full potential during their student stage. This problem has been identified by a group of professors of the specialty at the UCLV, developed a sectorial project to try to revert that issue. This paper describes the experience of one of the working area work: Project-Based Learning (PBL). Its objective was to evaluate PBL, in small groups of students, as a means of stimulating their interest in studying. The results achieved, although biased by the pandemic, demonstrate the good acceptance of the methodology.

The development of the communicative competence in English is one of the topics that have arisen nowadays in the teaching-learning process at higher education level. This article is aimed at critically reflecting on the importance of developing the communicative competence of English professionals during their training and at proposing a methodological strategy at this level to improve the academic quality of the process. At present, the way activities are carried out in the English teaching-learning process hinders the development of the students’ communicative competence. It is seen as a mechanical and positivist process, which limits them from successfully conveying an oral and/or written message. The main two results of this research are the positive impact of deeply studying the development of communicative competence on higher education level and the proposal of the methodological strategy which should guarantee its development. As a conclusion, this research allowed to identify the most frequent difficulties professionals have in the English teaching-learning process in order to present the methodological strategy.

In the current context, the imperative transformation of the teaching and learning modes of action in information and communication technologies (ICT) environments undoubtedly constitutes a requirement of higher education in the 21st century. Students are progressively more linked to the use of technologies. The integration of ICTs into the teaching-learning process (TLP) implies a change in the role of the teacher and the students, where the former must promote the formation of learning strategies and the development of the students’ self-regulation in their learning process. In the present research, the influence of ICT in the students` learning self-regulation is analyzed due to the fact that technologies are important tools currently used by teachers in the TLP. The objective of this article is to socialize content about the use of ICT in education, asa tool for developing students’ learning self-regulation. The results show that it is possible to promote self-regulation of learning in medium environments through ICT and in turn provide the students with the necessary strategies to learn autonomously.
