Resumen
Despite the desolate perspective presented by Geertz in Los usos de la diversidad (The Uses of Diversity)(1996) regarding the blurring of diversity in the field of anthropology since there are practically no “exotic societies” left to study, what is certain is that many myths and rites from the so-called semi-civilized societies have crept into the contemporary world. These include territorial rituals that occur nowadays in airports and are explained in this work as rites of passage belonging to this non-place (Augé, 2000), from the perspective of the semiotics of culture by Lotman (1996, 1998, 1999). It begins with the scheme proposed by Van Gennep (1984, 2008) for rites of passage and utilizes the ethnographic technique of participant observation from (Mauss, 1947; Guber, 2006; Kottak, 2007), to describe said territorial ritual. Conclusions indicate that airports function as a semiosphere where antique rites of passage from one territory to another are rewritten, a process that starts translation mechanisms seeking to mitigate the natural tension between “profane” worlds (that of the visitor seen by the Other) and “sacred” worlds (that of the one who is visited as seen by him/herself).

Resumen
General speaking, it is thought that Venezuela’s economic problems can only be described by the so-called neoclassical synthesis. At the end of the XIXth century and throughout the XXth century, a series of economic ideas challenged Keynesian and new macroeconomic classical theories from a praxeological viewpoint, disconnected from the quantitative theory of money and accepting the idea of relative prices for goods and services. Contributions made by Mises (1982 [1912]), (2005 [1936]) and Hayek (1967[1931]) regarding economic cycles are reviewed in order to approach the problems affecting the Venezuelan economy. Conclusions are that the monetary impulse within the framework of a rentier economy depending on a commodity (oil), with interventionist public policies and easy credit, in a scenario where few businesses create goods for investment, generated distortions in the pricing system, in production incentives, increasing imports, inflation rates and a weak Bolivar; in short, all things that run counter to the search for economic development.

Resumen
The purpose of this essay is to discuss the dyad as a socializing strategy that contributes to developing the human condition, understanding it as the vital force of interacting with, respecting, loving and being empathetic with that other who is there to be the complement of oneself. The research is a documentary study of the expository type, presenting the works of Valles (2004), Cortes (2009), Solla (2003), Rodriguez (2009) and Solla (2010), and the theories of Gadamer (1997), Heidegger (2003) and Bronfenbrenner (1987) as supports for the study of complementary relations, specifically of the dyad. The above works are presented in dialogic form so that they can complement each other. The essay consists of several parts that guide the reader to understand the individual from his uniqueness to the need for being complemented by the other who will help him ratify his human condition. Finally, it concludes that the human being, in the dyadic relationship, opens his being to reveal him/herself to the other, promotes interaction, communication, cohesion, affection, reciprocity, solidarity and dialog, works with his fellow being and makes possible the formation of cohesive communities.

This research reflects changes produced by the technological age, generating new spaces in the information society for diversity, pluralism, integration and innovation. However, copyright is an issue that has been little discussed in Venezuelan doctrine, although it is examined with great concern by Spanish law and the European Community. This problem has raised new, converging aspects. One of these, intellectual property, refers to copyright while the other approaches, from a different perspective, the need to protect the ownership of such rights due to their vulnerability occasioned by use of new information technologies. The study was conducted through an analysis of the information society and copyright protection. Conclusions are that both require positive regulation that determines the legal treatment to be followed in the user’s relationships with the use of information and rights pertaining to the authors, creating spaces that allow for developing a safe environment in which human rights, and specifically the right to information and the protection of cultural rights are respected.

Resumen
Chris Harman manifests that the current financial crisis is in reality a systemic crisis. Based on this affirmation, this paper attempts to study in depth the causes that have generated this systemic crisis, analyzing some reactions by the right (Quiggin, Smati, etc.), both its most conservative wing as well as reformist approaches. Also, it is important to point out that, starting from a concept of science understood as Wissenschaft, as rational and systematic process, it can be shown how technological development, impelled by the capitalist system itself, has provoked a valorization crisis that in the end makes it impossible to obtain surplus value, since this interrupts the circulation-reproduction process of capital. This thesis permits gathering fundamental elements for the critique of capitalism from authors such as Henri Mora, Sergio Reuben, David Harvey, etc., as well as recovering some ideas by Marx developed in Capital and Grundrisse. Within this framework, it proposes Marxism as a valid option for analyzing and overcoming the political and economic contradictions that late capitalism generates and that imply a gradual wearing down of bourgeois democracy. Finally, this essay is an optional approach to the current crisis from a perspective that does not require a mastery of economic science but does not lose its scientific value.
