Resumen
The media space continues to be the place for debate on the most important issues for social development. In contexts of socio-environmental conflict, the media are defined in a space of symbolic dispute by both the pro-mining and anti-mining sectors, which have made their position visible through the media in various contents, including advertising. For this reason, we consider it valuable to study the coverage carried out by the newspaper El Mercurio and radio La Voz del Tomebamba during the Consultation for Water accomplished in Cuenca on February 7, 2021.
Social organizations that defend nature measured forces at the polls with those who defend mining as a mechanism for local development. Just over 80% of voters said yes to the prohibition of metal mining in the water recharge areas of the Tarqui, Tomebamba, Yanuncay, Machángara and Norcay rivers.
The media play a transcendental role in the final decision of the voters, therein lies the importance of this study, for which a qualitative, descriptive and analytical methodological approach is used.

The prioritized curriculum and the Learn Together at Home Plan are the proposals of the Ministry of Education in Ecuador to respond to the current pandemic context. As the basis of this curricular proposal, interdisciplinary projects arise as a pillar for the acquisition and evaluation of learning. This new challenge had an impact on all educational institutions and actors. The objective of this research was to know the perception of teachers about the relevance of interdisciplinary projects as a form of evaluation in the emerging curriculum developed by the Ministry of Education in the 2021-2022 school year. For this reason, an exploratory study was carried out, qualitative approach and for data analysis the descriptive statistics technique was used. The study population consisted of 30 teachers from the middle and higher sublevels of Basic General Education from four provinces belonging to the South-Central Region. For data collection, a survey was applied based on the indicators provided by the Ministry of Education in relation to interdisciplinary projects. The results of this research are relevant since they allow knowing and understanding the pedagogical limitations, lack of training, and some realities that do not allow the concretion of the prioritized curriculum in the classrooms.

Resumen
The purpose of this paper is to examine patterns of metric variation in teeth, in order to contribute to the understanding of biological relationships among colonial-era populations that inhabited northern Mendoza (Argentina). To do this, we analyzed the permanent teeth of 27 individuals of both sexes from Mendoza’s Foundational Area. Mesiodistal and buccolingual diameters of the dental crown of four classes of teeth were measured. Intraobserver error, sexual dimorphism, and the influence of environmental stress were evaluated. For biodistance analyses, one-way ANOVA and PCA were performed and the distributions of individuals by tooth size were plotted in scatter plots. Great variation in dental sizes was found, with no differentiation by time period or socioeconomic group, in contrast to previously-reported results from investigations based on cranial and postcranial morphological variation.

Resumen
This paper presents a characterization of the Jagüelito quarry–workshop, located near the Pampa de Canota (northwestern Mendoza, Argentina). The exploitation of this source is discussed within a framework of technological organization and lithic production systems. Raw materials are characterized with macroscopic and petrographic analysis. A general characterization of the sample (n=85) was carried out that took into account aspects such as raw material, size, weight, and the reduction sequence. The available stones have a porphyritic structure (rhyolites/dacites) and five subtypes were identified. The results show that the initial stages of knapping were carried out at the source and expedient artifacts were discarded. Material selection and initial preparation may have involved transporting lithic material as well as making and discarding tools at other sites in the region. The analysis of this material from the source and the data from regional sites suggest that people employed expedient and conservative technological strategies. Although all the reduction stages are represented at the source, this source has been recorded at other sites. This shows that, in many cases, the reduction sequence continued and ended elsewhere, where these raw materials were integrated into lithic production sequences.

Resumen
This article proposes a discussion about the trajectory of the anthropological and archaeological thought and its discussions about the materials and the objects throughout the XX century. From inquiries such as: How were these approaches built? How were the objects and their performances thought in each of the different theoretical currents of archaeology? My proposal is to present a narrative, a history of the itineraries, of the trajectory of a Maya ceremonial textile from the site of Tikal, Guatemala, which I called Pix Mutal. With this history, my goal is to perceive how the treatment received by this object has been done in each of the main currents and theoretical approaches present in the anthropology and archaeology. Finally, I will discuss the importance of the new material and ontological approaches for a recovery of the leading role of this great material world that has always been present in the human and non-human societies at different times.
