Objective: Identifying the psychosocial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the psychic exhaustion of Mexican workers (March–October 2020). Material and methods: Observational, cross sectional and analytical study.  1 050 Mexican workers from ten states filled an online battery.  A questionnaire was designed to identify the psychosocial variables (labour, social, family, and individual) and health conditions under COVID-19.  The psychic exhaustion dimension of the CTCPS-MAC questionnaire was applied.  Data was analyzed using the Ward method of logistical regression with the SPSS v.26. Results: 17% of cases infected by COVID-19, from 1% to 3% presented comorbidity with hypertension, diabetes, obesity, or heart disease. The risk of cognitive-emotional response was 2% for infected, for the others 14% and 7% in behavioral response. 4% and 27% presented a risk of psychic exhaustion, respectively. Conclusions: Safety dimensions: occupational health; social: housing; family and organization; expression of negative emotions and individual (physical and mental health) were predictors of psychic exhaustion.

Summary: Introduction: Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the health has been affected, not only physically, but also mentally, of workers and the general population, evidenced by an increase in cases of dysfunctional anxiety. Objective: To evaluate the impact of Covid-19 on the mental health of Ecuadorian workers during the year 2021. Methods: The coronavirus anxiety scale (CAS) was used, which has an αs> .90, and a solid validity factorial demonstrated by several authors. In turn, CAS has diagnostic properties (90% sensitivity and 85% specificity). Results: The results obtained show that women and young workers aged 25 to 34 years have a greater probability of developing dysfunctional anxiety or other psychological disorders such as depression 16 - 24 years OR ± 1.08 with C.I. ± (0.18 - 6.46); 25 to 34 OR ± 1.10 with I.C. ± (0.41 - 2.93); 44 to 52 OR ± 0.59 with I.C. ± (0.18 - 1.95), Conclusions: Promoting mental health in workers is imperative based on the results of this study since in this way it will be possible to strengthen the health system and reduce the negative impact on mental health that Covid -19 is provoking the population under study.

The pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 has produced great changes in social dynamics and has generated differenteffects worldwide, one of them being mental. The general purpose of this work was to understand the psychological effects of patients with HIV / AIDS, on the occasion of the pre-named context. Therefore, a qualitative bibliographic study was carried out checking websites, scientific articles and academic studies, so that information could be collected to analyze the topic specially in 2020 and 2021 documents. It was determined that the main incidences of this kind are depression, anxiety and stress, among others, which violate the integrity of seropositive patients. It was concluded that to address this problem in a future emergency scenario, the States could implement policies aimed at ensuring the care of those affected in any context, applying a variety of strategies for that purpose.

In the fight against the advance of COVID-19, chest X-ray images become an alternative in the detection of the virus. Interpreting radiographic films for virus detection is sometimes complicated by the presence of other respiratory diseases. A convolutional neural network with RESNET34 architecture is proposed as a complement in the detection of the virus, which allows classifying the images of chest radiographs with COVID-19 and NOCOVID images. The model presents a degree of reliability of 94.78% in the prediction of the images in the two classes COVID-19 and NOCOVID and an error in the prediction of the images of 5.22%. The results obtained show a high degree of prediction and classification of COVID cases above 90%, demonstrating the contribution of artificial intelligence in the development of preventive technologies for respiratory diseases, as well as support for medical personnel.

At the beginning of a historical research about oceanic sailing balsarafts used by indigenous people of Ecuadorian and Peruvian coasts since before the Hispanic conquest, we noticed that would have been used until the first half of the XX century, so we decide to search for a testimony of someone who had made those journeys to learn their experiences:  how were these balsarafts made? How were they governed? What were their routes and trip purposes?   We were successful when we met a 94 years old Peruvian, of Sechurian origin, that when young, participated in journeys to Guayaquil.  Here we summarized hours of recording to this and other raftsmen, drawings and explanations given by mister Augustin Pazos, that give us lights about the ancestral oceanic navigation on great balsarafts.              We referred in this article to travelers and researchers who have written about Sechurian fishermen in balsarafts since the XIX century, and other chronicles and narrations of balsarafts usage.

This study seeks to explore the effects of the Covid-19 Emergency on the Mental Health of workers and to identify approach strategies for the psychological and emotional support of this population. Through a comprehensive documentary review based on the Arksey and O'Malley methodology and the improvements Levac et al, 30 articles and technical documents were studied that indicate the main effects and approach strategies regarding the Mental Health of workers in the Ibero-American countries; finding anxiety, stress and depression in the working population, important physical and psychological affectations in health personnel (especially nursing staff) with a propensity to develop Burnout Syndrome or Post-traumatic Stress Syndrome and the need to establish psychosocial approach strategies to the Problem studied in a differentiated way according to the labor reality of each worker.

Research on the effects of COVID-19 on mental health is abundant. This work aims to systematize the main findings on this topic to have a broad and complete view of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health at a global level. After briefly describing the current state of mental health in terms of incidence, treatment and investment at the international and local levels, a systematic literature review was carried out, focusing on published review articles and meta-analyses (24 articles), to know what the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health are, what the main factors (risk and protection) associated with the relationship between COVID-19 and mental health are, and what prevention and intervention actions have been carried out and their effects on preventing mental health issues. Finally, some implications are raised for the future of mental health.

For several years now, globally, large quantities of tire rubber have been discarded, which exacerbates the problem of environmental pollution. A good alternative to mitigate this problem and at the same time take advantage of it in an efficient way is to obtain granulated rubber from recycled rubber to use it in pavements since it improves its resistance and durability. The objective of this document was to carry out a systematic review of the literature on the main processes to produce asphalt mixtures and the way in which the use of recycled rubber grain (CBR) affects the design and improvement of the physical and mechanical properties in the asphalt. 50 articles indexed in the Scopus database between 2015 and 2021 on recycled rubber, incorporation of granulated rubber in asphalt mixtures and the physical and mechanical properties of granulated rubber mixed with granular soils in asphalt were reviewed. After investigating in different articles, it was determined that the most important processes to include CR in asphalt mixtures are the dry, wet and semi-humid process. It is concluded that the use of CBR in its mixture improves the mechanical properties of asphalt, such as the increase in the modulus of rigidity, the increase in resistance to humidity, the lengthening of its useful life, and even has applications in the damping of vibrations in construction sites. civil construction.
