We intend to analyze the integration of indian urban into the life of Buenos Aires in the late colonial period. This study is limited to the analysis of the formation of domestic groups. We believe that they are of fundamental importance as were the areas in which it was transmitted and transformed the social order. To introduce this issue in the first instance take censuses of the city of Buenos Aires in 1744 and 1778. We leave for later the approach to this issue from other sources and a reduced spatial scale

In the middle eighteenth century the great merchants of various Hispanic spaces, accumulate enough flow to allow them to purchase titles of nobility, distinction or form entails that shine on their names and perpetuate their purchased goods. This process is most evident in the Mexican and Peruvian spaces, but there aren't known specific cases to the Rí­o de la Plata area. As stated José Torre Revello, this doesn't imply that traders not to try to ennoble in the Rí­o de la Plata. This case study details as Don Vicente de Azcuénaga try to establish an entailed estate in the city of Buenos Aires in favor of his first-born Miguel. Through this study based on the "proofs" can be seen as family Azcuénaga aims to highlight its name to the rest of his contemporaries, but relations between father and son at once lead us to rethink questions concerning the traditions of accumulation and heritage conservation

This article analizes the counter-revolutionary social force of the late colonial Buenos Aires. It takes as observables two of the principal leaders: the monopolistic spanish merchants Diego de Agüero and Miguel Fernández de Agüero. The Agüero had a definite political strategy: to oppose to the revolutionary process and to defend the colonial order. This program was constructed throughout more than thirty years, in which they pass from a reformist alliance to face politically and militarily against the revolutionaries. In this trajectory, the confrontations about the traffic of leather with foreign nations turn out to be a hinge, defending the legal trade for the route of Cadiz, arguing that it's Monarchy's bastions. The above mentioned program is link with its social reproduction, based on a political privilege granted by the colonial State. It destruction, by the action of the Revolution, will produce it commercial, political and military defeat

During the colonial era, the big traders in Peru behaved as a very dynamic Group that developed significant businesses in the area of marketing and devoted also to lend to the government in power. This work aims to identify the conflicts that arose in the War of Independence and how the commercial elite was transformed with the arrival of foreing traders, who settled in Lima to see this interesting place for the expansion of its activities. We will also see some case studies, especially foreign merchants who allow us to analyze the business dynamics of the same
