Resumen
This research approaches the communication of CSR management with a look at the company’s values and management cultural characteristics. Inthe study of the relationship between communication companies and their stakeholders, we propose a comparison between American and Europeancompanies through reports sent to the UN Global Compact. With 40 firms surveyed in total, we provide data on how stakeholders are conceived by these firms, what actions are actually implemented with them and what cultural values emerge from these documents about the company-stakeholder dialogue. Some findings suggest that American companies give priority to education, peace, justice and coexistence among members of the community, while inEurope these problems are solved with codes of ethics, good relationships withstakeholders and philanthropy in developing countries.

Resumen
The potential of new media, the explosion of information in networks and the emergence of a consumer of information that does not comply with passively absorbing content, has promoted changes in journalism, including a critical stage for its survival. These impacts do not occur only in the technical aspect of the profession, but it is also necessary to assess how journalistic ethics are changing. In order to do this, we evaluate four Brazilian ethics documents, inorder to extract their basic values. Furthermore, we observed three Brazilian examples of how the media have sought new regulations for journalism innew media and social networks. The results allow identifying guidelines to adjust journalism to contemporary ethical challenges.

Resumen
This article presents a series of reflections on the reception of violent television contents by children, adolescents and their parents and teachersin Ecuador. The most significant results of the qualitative and quantitative research “Dialogues to establish agreements and commitments for thereduction of violence in national television programming,” conducted by the Media Monitoring Centre Citizen Participation, in 2007, show significantdifferences between the perceptions of adults and children and adolescents: while parents see a direct causal relationship between the broadcast of some violent content and the generation of attitudes and practices of violence, children and adolescents consider that violence emerges and reproduces from and in their daily lives. In addition, they make a clear distinction between real and fictional violence, and consider the news broadcast as the spacepar excellence where violence is reproduced, with more strength than theprograms of fiction and entertainment
