Resumen
"Guidance for educational-career choice" is a tool with potential and diverse action possibilities, which enables the creation of new support, information and monitoring networks, capable of generating the necessary attitudinal and organizational changes to put an end to the current situation of inequality in Vocational Training. Proper delivery of guidance for choice favours understanding the need to adapt the subjects learning paths to their career goals, as well as increasing their opportunities and possibilities for employment in different sectors with educational achievements (Lozano S. y Repetto E, 2007). This article is based on a study which, in this perspective, poses a dual purpose:1) to promote processes of guidance and choice as a measure to improve the occupationaltraining path exploring and planning phase, without gender discrimination;(2) to offer a new approach to redefine women profiles and professional skills. To realize such a study, information has been analysed through the triangulation of data extracted from questionnaires, interviews in depth and discussion groups. Some of the conclusions we came to, are: · Strong influence and permanence of labour and socio-cultural stereotypes that hinde the election and/or employment of women who decide to train and work in these sectors. · Lack of awareness-raising and institutional interest which limits joint guidance processes and strategies to increase opportunities of access and permanence in such professional-training environments.

Resumen
This study examined the role of Personal (Self-esteem, self-efficacy, Locus of Control & Gender) and family characteristics (Family communication style, and Parental neglect) on aggressive tendencies among undergraduates students in South-South Geo-Political Zone in Nigeria. A total of 2,862 undergraduates, made up of 1302, females and 1,560 males drawn from seven universities participated in the study. A questionnaire was used in collecting data. The questionnaire consisted of seven sections: The demographic variables, Family communication style, Parental neglect, Self-esteem, Self-efficacy, Locus of control, Gender and Aggressive tendencies. Results of the multiple regression analysis revealed that self-efficacy, self-esteem, and family communication style independently predict aggressive tendencies, while locus of control and parental neglect was not found to independently predict aggressive tendencies. Personal and family characteristics jointly predict aggressive tendencies. Results of the 2x2x2 analysis of variance to check the interaction effect of gender, locus of control, and parental neglect, indicated that there was an interaction effect of gender and locus of control, while there was no statistical significant interaction of gender, locus of control and parental neglect. Based on the findings of this study, it was recommended that the future of a successful intervention by therapist/ service providers for students with aggressive behavior, lies heavily on knowing and identifiying the personal and family characteristics of the individual. This no doubt would help the therapists tailor specific treatment for specifics individuals.

Resumen
This investigation approaches the transition from high school to university through a longitudinal study which tracks cohorts of first year students of different degrees at the University of Barcelona in order to analyze two types of student trajectory: abandonment or continuity. The current study examines the academic and professional profile of the students who leave or continue the studies at the end of the second university year. At the same time we evaluate the students who continue the transition process. Presented these data, the trajectory is analyzed after two years at the university, considering three criteria: academic performance outcomes, the quality of academic performance and the development of the generic competences. It has been possible to confirm that there is a series of characteristics that are present in both trajectories (abandonment and continuity). All this allows to point to those psycho-social factors of personal, familiar, social-relational and institutional nature that can be related to the quality of the academic transition and to suggest new studies towards a more comprehensive an explanatory theoretical model of the transition high school-University in this University.

Resumen
This brief and initial study tries to introduces readers to the multiple aggressions and/or bullying that many students suffer daily in the first cycle of primary education, at six or seven years old. These are often not repaired since most of the times neither parents nor teachers notice. For children it constitutes a source of worry, because they are singled out, stigmatized and abused, at a very young age, by mates from their own class and school. The different types of aggressions that take place in the first years of Primary Education are also dealt with. Among the most remarkable and frequent we will mention the following: “upsetting”, “insulting”, “teasing”, “distracting other students so the teacher will punish them”, “threats”, “pushing”, “stealing the lunch”, “slapping”, “pushing from the swings”, and “trying to choke others”. This initial investigation includes a new aspect that has not been studied yet, regarding the psychological defense that some of the victims resort to in order to survive to this turmoil created and fuelled by the bully, and that the victim cannot control.
