Alternative energy sources are the main inducer of the world energy matrix based mainly on biofuels from Biomass. Biogas has in its composition carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane gas (CH4).  Resulting from the decomposition of organic matter, the study to be developed aims to evaluate the feasibility of using biodigesters for the energy use of biogas produced by the decomposition of organic matter from municipal solid waste, which contains a significant portion of biodegradable organic matter that goes through an anaerobic digestion process transforming garbage into clean energy. The study will be developed using as parameters the generation of waste in the municipalities that make up the Middle Sertão Maranhense having as methodological procedure, the application of the IPCC method. This method is generally applied to design landfill scenarios that are not yet operating. The present work seeks to contribute to scenarios in the face of discussions about the need to invest in alternative energies that minimize the current stage of greenhouse gas emissions, as well as to show the energy potential that this gas has and the possibility of transforming methane into useful energy, making biogas a profitable gas and mitigating the pollution problem. In total, the methane generated at the landfill in the 20-year period was 3,514,372.58 m³ CH4, generating an average of 175,718.62 m³ CH4/year.

Esse trabalho teve como objetivo fazer um levantamento, em algumas escolas da cidade de Arapiraca, Alagoas, a respeito do uso do Instagram como recurso educativo nessa época de pandemia que estamos vivendo. Uma vez que as redes sociais vêm fazendo parte da vida dos jovens que estão cada vez mais conectados, pode-se considerar esse meio de comunicação e interação como uma ferramenta de ensino facilitadora da aprendizagem. Compreende-se a importância de inserir o meio em que o jovem está conectado em um universo de estudo, tornando o ensino mais atrativo e interessante através da tecnologia. Para a realização do presente trabalho nos valemos da pesquisa documental e da aplicação de questionário (formulário google), em duas escolas públicas e uma escola particular da cidade de Arapiraca, obtendo-se o total de 127 respostas. Foi possível verificar que os alunos apontam positivamente o uso do instagram para o ensino, e que a maioria utiliza essa rede. Porém, observou-se que as escolas não utilizam a rede a seu favor como ferramenta de ensino. Estes dois dados contraditórios nos motivou a dar continuidade com esta pesquisa. Assim, buscaremos no próximo trabalho criar uma página de studygram para socializar com as escolas. Almejamos sensibilizar a equipe diretiva das escolas a fazerem mais uso destas mídias digitais contribuindo para um processo ensino-aprendizagem mais dinâmico e rico.

The Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) is the basis of several typical foods from the northern region of Brazil, among which stand out cassava flour, water flour, tapioca gum and tucupi. As certain varieties of cassava have a high cyanide content, foods prepared from these varieties must be evaluated for their cyanide content, in order to guarantee food health. In this sense, this work aimed to evaluate the free cyanide content in tucupi samples sold in popular markets in Santarém-PA, Brazil. All samples had an acidic pH, varying between 3.35 and 4.50, which is conducive to the proliferation of fungi and yeasts. As for the free cyanide content, about 81.4% had levels greater than 10 mg HCN kg-1 of sample, which represents a risk to human health, if consumed without prior cooking. Therefore, it is necessary to standardize the tucupi in these places, to guarantee the food security of the population.

ABSTRACT: In view of the coronavirus pandemic, several security measures were necessary, among them, the on-site suspension of educational activities, thus generating the obligation for teachers and students to migrate to the online reality, transferring and transposing methodologies and pedagogical practices atypical of the physical territories of learning, in what has been called remote or synchronous emergency teaching. With the uncertainties that the current scenario presents, the idea to develop this work arose with the objective of carrying out analyzes on the feasibility of implementing emergency remote education at the State University of Alagoas - UNEAL. This is a study, based on an opinion poll, through an online questionnaire Google® Forms, carried out with teachers and students of the Licenciatura Courses in Biological Sciences and Chemistry.103 people participated, being 89.3% students and 10.7% teachers. The majority 73.8% agreed that the implementation of emergency remote education is feasible. Through analysis of the current context and the results obtained, it is recommended that teachers and students discuss the best strategies that enable a good quality remote or synchronous teaching.

A Floresta Estacional Semidecidual possui alto índice de diversidade e, se encontra extremamente ameaçada pela ação antrópica. O objetivo desse estudo foi avaliar a diversidade florística e estrutural em fragmentos de Floresta Estacional Semidecidual, em Minas Gerais. Para isso, selecionamos dois fragmentos, sendo o primeiro localizado no Parque Nacional das Sempre-Vivas e o segundo no Parque Estadual do Biribiri. Em cada fragmento foi alocada 25 parcelas 400 m2 (20 × 20 m). Em cada parcela foram identificados e mensurados os indivíduos vivos com diâmetro à altura do peito (DAP) ≥ 5,0 cm. Houve diferenças florística e estrutural, na Mata do Gavião mensuramos 1868 indivíduos, pertencentes a 196 espécies e 46 famílias. Na Mata do Gombô foi mensuramos 1275 indivíduos vivos distribuídos em 132 espécies e 43 famílias botânicas. Na Mata do Gavião o índice de diversidade de Shannon (H’) foi de 4,32 nats. Ind-1 e equabilidade de Pielou (J) 0,83, na Mata do Gombô (H’) foi de 4,10 nats. Ind-1 e (J) 0,85. As espécies mais representativas foram Licania hoehnei e Pterodon pubescens. Há um desequilíbrio entre as classes diamétricas, a primeira teve a maior concentração de indivíduos sendo superior às outras classes juntas. As duas áreas possui baixa similaridade florística entre si, constituem importantes centros de diversidade e contribuem significativamente para a diversidade florística regional.

The University allows at the college student a great personal and intellectual development, however, it can also be marked as an environment that triggers psychological disorders. Therefore, the aim of this research was to highlight aspects related to mental disorders in Chemistry and Biological Sciences college students at the Universidade Estadual de Alagoas – Campus I, in the Arapiraca city, Alagoas. For data collection, a questionnaire was carried out on the Google Forms platform, made available to the target audience through WhatsApp. The research had the participation of 48 students, and the collected data were tabulated in Excel spreadsheets. We supposed that the number of answered questionnaires may be indicative of mental exhaustion among undergraduates due to remote activities imposed by the covid-19 pandemic. Thus, we have an analysis of the data obtained, but with the objective of carrying out another survey to complement the information. We noticed that 50% of the participants claimed to have been diagnosed with some psychological distress; it was found that 85% of these students believe that the university has been contributed to the aggravation of these symptoms, and 78.9% reported that crises become more evident during periods of exams and/or presentations of work. We consider, with the data obtained, that undergraduates are not immune to mental illness and that the HEI needs to develop actions that help in the psycho-emotional well-being of these students, since, as future teachers, they will be social agents of transformation.

It is certain that the environment influences the health status of an individual, the way we deal with the ecosystem is linked to the process that causes diseases and injuries that affect humanity. To meet these demands, public management must boost social participation, considering information as the main instrument, thus promoting an environmental education based on ethics. The objective of this study is to describe the experience lived by nursing students during the development of an extension project aimed at education in environmental and sanitary health. It is an experience report of the realization of an extension project, in which interaction and environmental intervention actions were carried out, aimed at elementary school students 2 at a public school in Maceió - AL, with emphasis on the questions related to health and environment, directed mainly to the reality of the location of the actions. Three meetings were held with the school community, in the first meeting there was a moment of interaction with the school community, aiming to create a bond with them, on the second day, an experience was provided outside the school environment, with the visit to the Park Municipal de Maceió, for the recognition of a preserved environment, and on the third day, we return to the school environment to put into practice the knowledge acquired in previous moments. The development of the extension project made it possible for the school community to learn through insertion in an environment with preserved nature, thus acquiring a new conception in the face of environmental issues, being able to modify its habits, materializing itself primarily in the revitalization of the school space.

This paper is affiliated to the field of Applied Linguistics, aiming to understand how the evaluative intonation supports in the construction of answers to the reading questions. These are partial results of the research, carried out through PIBIC / UNEAL-FAPEAL / 2019, under the responsibility of the Research Group Language, Interaction and Use - Linterus, in which it is intended to highlight that the evaluative intonation when considered in classroom, contributes to the realization of the act of reading. In order to address the intonation in reading questions, a model activity in a Portuguese textbook, referring to the PNLD / 2020, from the 6th year of elementary school, was used. As a theoretical-conceptual basis, it is anchored in the studies of the The research is underpinned in Bakhtin Circle, specifically, in Bakhtin (2016[1975]; 2014[1975]); Volóchinov (2019[1926; 1930]); Medviédev (2016 [1928]) and interlocutors such as Sobral (2009), Menegassi (2010); Fuza and Menegassi (2020). As a result of this study, it is pointed out that the evaluative intonation contributes to the elaboration of answers to reading questions and that the concept can be used as an element that favors the construction of meanings and supports in the development of student-reader autonomy.

Florence Nightingale, a pioneer in executing evidence-based practice (PBE), which is an approach inserted in the Health Sciences that associates the best scientific evidence with clinical experience and the patient's choice for effective clinical decision making, enabling the higher education and quality nursing practice. The objective is to investigate what are the main obstacles in the implementation of evidence-based practice - EBP in nursing. It is an integrative literature review. Data collection was carried out from April to July 2020, in the PubMed (US National Library of Medicine) and SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) databases. For the search strategy, Health Science Descriptors (DeCS) and Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) were used. Using the Boolean operators “and / or”, in the different crossings of the pre-defined languages. Manual counting, that is, absolute frequency of similar terms, was used as a strategy for the synthesis of the studies, organizing the results in categories. Seven primary studies that met the inclusion criteria, and made up this integrative review. As for the temporal distribution of research, it is observed that there is no linear trend pattern, with a greater concentration of 57.14% in 2018. Regarding the methodological design of the sample, qualitative studies stood out 35.71%. The scientific basis of PBE, ensures that care is changeable and dynamic. Although nurses have attitudes favorable to EBP and believe that research contributes to the advancement of Nursing, this practice is still limited due to the obstacles: work overload; nurses do not want to change the care practice and do not understand the design of the EBP. More support and resources from higher education institutions in nursing at undergraduate and graduate levels and therapeutic units are needed, so that students and nursing professionals can perform EBP on a daily basis. The results presented here can support the development of pilot studies for the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice among nurses.
