Resumen
This article delves on an unpublished engraving that depicts the transit of Venus around the Sun in 1769. The image seems to have been for Felipe Zúñiga Ontiveros’ private use, and it represents an excellent opportunity to appreciate astronomical practices in New Spain during the 18th century. Likewise, the article makes a brief analysis of the scientific instruments shown in the picture, and it also provides an interdisciplinary context that allows the understanding of this engraving’s importance, as well as that of the astronomical instruments captured. As this article represents the first publication of this engraving since the time of its manufacture, the results of this research can be deemed as contributions to the fields of Art History, Book History, and the History of Science.

Resumen
Este artículo analiza la impresión de actas capitulares de la Orden de Predicadores en México durante el siglo XVII. En primer lugar, se recurre a la revisión de las actas documentadas por la tradición bibliográfica para cotejar la información con las ediciones localizadas. El procedimiento arroja resultados en tres vías: a) Las coincidencias de los ejemplares localizados y los datos bibliográficos recopilados, b) La identificación de ediciones sine notis que requieren ser asignadas a impresor y lugar, y c) El descubrimiento de nuevas ediciones mexicanas del periodo. Para la identificación de impresor y año de publicación de las ediciones sin datos editoriales se aplican los criterios teórico-metodológicos de la tipobibliografía y la biblioiconografía. Todo ello nos conduce al enriquecimiento del patrimonio documental mexicano con la identificación de seis nuevas ediciones.

Resumen
Identificación y estudio de 56 trabajos de y sobre el artista celayense Francisco Eduardo Tresguerras (1759-1833) que se encuentran en los acervos de la Biblioteca Nacional de México y que dan origen al mismo número de fichas bibliográficas, relacionadas a partir del tipo de obra: manuscritos, libros, capítulos de libros, artículos y notas periodísticas, entre otras. Cada una de las fichas señala la información que contienen estos escritos respecto a la vida y labor artística de Tresguerras.

Resumen
This article aims to study the current state of the global audiobook market, with some insights into national contexts. In order to fulfill this purpose, it was necessary to monitor audiobook's production and consumption figures, and to compare prices between different book formats, both printed and digital. Additionally, the article traces the history of audible book formats and some of the technologies used throughout different periods. By regarding these two facets, the work concludes with the recognition of new business models to exploit audio productions, considering the importance that technological variables have for the good outcome of audiobooks.

Resumen
En la Hispanic Society of America se conserva el único ejemplar de un pliego suelto bastante excepcional, publicado en Burgos (1552) en la prensa de Juan de Junta: se trata de la única invectiva conocida del siglo XVI, y escrita en vernáculo, contra Martín Lutero. El presente artículo estudia y edita este texto. En primer lugar, se aborda la historia del impreso, cuyo paradero fue identificado por Antonio Pérez y Gómez hacia 1960, y se contextualiza en el marco de la producción de pliegos sueltos similares de la época. En segundo lugar, se realiza un análisis literario de esta invectiva que expone los vínculos que tiene con el Ibis ovidiano –y, de este modo, con la tradición de la invectiva clásica–, así como con la tradición bíblica, importantísima en el texto para ejemplificar los numerosos tipos de muerte que el autor le desea al reformador.

Resumen
Since 1985 the ways in which the fields of Bibliography, Textual Criticism, and the History of Reading have been affected by the production, transmission and reception processes of texts, as well as the role of grammatical and typographical elements in textual objects, have been up for discussion, taking under consideration the study of these aspects as historically recorded forms. Therefore, the analysis of linguistic objects beyond book-form, mainly disseminated by the periodical press, has come to the fore. However, the repercussions and modes of transmission related to literary imitations and translations during the Mexican 19th century have not been sufficiently explored. This article proposes the recovery of Lord Byron’s “Stanzas to Jessy” poem, to comprehend its distribution, appropriation, and insertion channels in 19th century Mexican literature.

Resumen
This paper reviews the editorial history of Sagrado padrón, written by Alonso Ramírez de Vargas, a work describing the festivities for the 1690 dedication ceremony of the Church of San Bernardo in the Mexican capital of New Spain. The volume also includes nine sermons and one elegy. This article brings to light two editions of the Sagrado padrón, and two different issues of the 1691 edition, a fact hitherto unknown by scholars and bibliographers who had previously studied this piece. This history illustrates the literary and editorial links between sermons and the writing of “relaciones de fiestas”. These connections are also reflected in the primary texts and paratexts of said sermons and the accounts they hold.
