Resumen
Introduction: Artistic swimming in Cuba is ruled by the international standards of the International Federation of Artistic Swimming (FINA) (2017-2021). Nationally, the technical skills are assessed in the water and on the ground in the 9-10 category. One of the technical tests in the water is float measurements in different positions.Aim: To design a methodological alternative for training the vertical float position in 9-10-year-old athletes of artistic swimming.Materials and methods: The procedures used permitted to provide the rationale for the scientific outcome, determine the existing flaws in practice, and the statistical data processing. Results: The methodological alternative relies on theoretical rationales for physical and technical training of artistic swimming. It has three stages with the proper arrangement of the non-customized components of the process and the methodological indications. Conclusions: The practical results enabled the validation of the alternative.

Resumen
Introduction: Physical recreation is a voluntary type of activity that is performed during free time as part of extracurricular activities, whose end is to produce physical and psychic relaxation, providing pleasure, and well-being, and contributing positively to human growth and balance against school-related stress and other daily duties. Aim: To design a program of physical exercises that contribute to cognitive development of fifth-graders during their mathematics lessons, at the 24 de Julio educational facility. It must engage students in practicing recreational activities at school often, and it is also a tool for motor, cognitive, affective, and social development of the 50 students selected for this study.Materials and methods: During the research, several methods were included, such as the scientific, analytical, synthetic, and descriptive. The study relied on a pre-experimental design, which included only one group, consisting in the application of a pre-test and a post-test. The techniques used were survey and a cognitive development test. Conclusions: Regarding the equivalent fraction variables, semi-straight fractions, and combined operations, P 0.000 < 0.05 demonstrated that the null hypothesis was rejected, while the alternative hypothesis was accepted, thus suggesting a highly significant difference between the pre-test and post-test in the three variables related to student cognitive development during the research

Resumen
Introduction: The contents expressed in this paper about the sports planning strategy for karate-do in multiple competitions, applied to kumite, is an experimental research study in the form of pedagogic pre-experiments through which the efficacy of the planning system to learn the kumite technique by the 15 athletes within the 16-17 category was evaluated.Aim: To determine the effectiveness of the kumite technical tests applied to athletes from the Sports Federation of Guayas who took part in multiple competitions.Method: This experimental research in the form of pedagogic pre-experiment helped corroborate the efficacy of the planning system of the kumite technique by the 15 athletes within the 16-17 category, accounting for 100% of the population available in this age group engaged in karate-do.Results: As a result, the null Ho hypothesis was rejected, while the alternative hypothesis Hi was confirmed, assuming that the data did not have a normal distribution (P = 0.31 > α = 0.05) during the pre-test (normal distribution). However, the test results showed that P = 0.00 ≤ α = 0.05, demonstrating that the data did not have a normal distribution. The Wilcoxon rank test showed P 0.00 < 0.05, so the null hypothesis was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. It was inferred that there was a significant difference between the number of errors made by the athletes in the first and second test of Ura Mawashi geri jodan or Katsumi geri upon the implementation of the proposal, leading to a significant reduction of errors during the post-test.Conclusions: Its implementation favored the technical-competitive performance of karate athletes, which demonstrated the pertinence of the test, based on the scientific-methodological treatment needed for preparedness.

Resumen
Tactical thinking is a critical factor in the outcome of a volleyball game, so it must be trained and implemented in every match, as training sessions, friendly matches, or competition. The coach must know the main tactical flaws of the team to be able to address these problems. Accordingly, this paper aimed to developing a set of theoretical and practical exercises to improve the tactical thinking of 13-15-year-old junior volleyball setters, at the Cerro Pelado Starter Sports School in Camaguey (EIDE). Several methods and techniques were used in this research, namely theoretical, empirical, and statistical. The diagnostic permitted checking the development of tactical thinking. The main issue was associated with the technical-tactical work of setters, evidencing little effectiveness in their performance, as well as targeting tactical situations and problems along the training sessions and in competition. The exercise system included individual and group actions by the setters.

Resumen
Introduction: Dancing at early ages helps children develop body control, improve coordination, balance, reflexes, and spatial control, while developing psychomomtricity, harmony, and focus.Aim: To determine the exercise system applied to improve dance movements in the group of children selected for this study. Materials and methods: The sample included 15 subjects, 100% of the dance students between 11 and 13 years of age, at the Juan Emilio Murillo, Landin Educational Facility, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Results: The data from the three tests (torso movements, falling time, and the roll) were analyzed through the Shapiro Will. The pre-test and post-test showed that after the three tests to the set of exercises, there was a significant reduction of errors in the pre-test, compared to the post-test.Conclusions: The results of the Wilcoxon rank test were used to corroborate the significant differences between pre-tests and post-tests 1.4 and 5, caused by the implementation of the proposal (P 0.02 < 0.05). This result confirms the efficacy of the proposal implemented.
