Resumen
We present the social context of the life trajectory of teacher Francisca Leite Teixeira, born in Diamantina/MG and who worked at the first mixed school in Três Barras, in the North of Minas. We deepen the relationship between public education and the gold and diamond economy, rehearsing approximations between the ways of earning a living with tropeirismo and dedicating oneself to teaching as a necessary career to overcome the regional economic crises of the 19th century. The methodology is based on a survey of primary sources such as wills and notarial records that give vent to the study, dialoguing with fundamental authors for the regional analysis. As a conclusion, it is intended to expand the field of observation of how it was possible for the master Chiquinha Leite to work in the North of Minas in the 19th century.

Resumen
This paper is fundamented on the historical-critical pedagogy to discuss the importance of having the evolutionary theory as central in the biology curriculum of the primary education, in view of the school social function of creating the subjective conditions to overcome capitalism through the socialization of the historical knowledge produced by humanity, and the upbringing of critical conscience. From this discussion, a research was done to investigate the scenario of scientific literature in Brazil regarding the centrality of evolutionary theory for the biology curriculum, aiming to contribute with the works that build a relation between the historical-critical pedagogy and the science and biology curriculum. Few papers were found discussing the biology curriculum in primary education, the relations between evolutionary theory and biology teaching, and the evolutionary theory as a structuring knowledge in the biology teaching and curriculum.

Resumen
The present review seeks to carry out a critical reflection on the work "A cruel pedagogy of the virus, by Boaventura de Souza Santos (Portugal)". This work brilliantly discusses the consequences of the pandemic on life in society, especially for the most needy and homeless populations, women and other individuals who will suffer much more strongly from what the pandemic imposes. Reiterating that such consequences are correlated with the increase in poverty, domestic violence, hunger, unemployment, among other aggravating factors arising from the global political crisis and the weakening of the State and the substantial increase in capitalist economic demands that contributed to this. The author points out, however, that the pandemic has existed for many years but was evidenced by the need for society in general to unbridled.
