Resumen
As opposed to heartfelt but senseless opinions regarding its functionality, drawing currently proves to be active and efficient, functional and expressive. Drawing is self-taught; it generates diverse proposals that enrich the graphic research in the creative process of a design project. On the other hand, it possesses an evident and unquestionable capacity to communicate; its lines are associated to a certain iconography suitably acknowledged within the field of design. In addition, drawing dynamically expresses, defines and interprets the intention of the project, resorting with confidence and skill to any of the different graphic phases of its own internal path: notes, sketches, schemes, etc. In any case, drawing represents our own expressive identity: “it is us graphically expressed”.

Resumen
This article attempts to initially refl ect on the meaning of research and its links with design as an activity, paying attention to its means of dissemination. In a society wherein the main information medium is the Internet, Specifi c Documentation Centres have emerged. These provide various resources which make the initial process of search and defi nition of the design project possible. In this line, the analysis of the management system used at the CDD-Centre de Documentació IMPIVA disseny is presented as the framework to validate the transfer and dissemination of the results obtained from researching on Design. It can also be considered an information point and database to research on Design: projects, exhibitions, conferences and talks, etc.

Resumen
The idea of opacity as opposed to transparency in modern design projects emerges with the arrival of the post-industrial period in history. The term is suitable for highlighting the importance of opacity in contemporary design projects and can be viewed as social, functional or matter opacity in addition to an aesthetic category. However, there is a new and more radical form of opacity entailed by contemporary design, especially in the last decade: the spreading of what is today considered a “design object” to the most evident aspect, to the intangible organization and, in particular, to the emotional dimension. Over the last twenty years, new practices and visions have come up. These are not linked to the classical design of “industrial product”, but entirely reflect what is understood as a design project culture: services design, interface design, design for productive environments, interaction design, experience design, strategic design, etc.

Resumen
This study illustrates the results of the design experiments carried out as part of the Design for Science project, born in 2008 as the result of collaboration between the HDL (Hybrid Design Lab) bio-inspired design research group of the IDEAS department (Industrial Design Ambiente e Storia, of the Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli, coordinated by Carla Langella and Patrizia Ranzo, and the research group of the Institute of Chemistry and Polymer Technology (ICTP) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), coordinated by Mario Malinconico.
The research was born with the aim of defining innovative design solutions, integrating the application of a bio-inspired design methodology, developed in the field of HDL, with the application of advanced biodegradable and renewable materials and structures created by ICTP.

Resumen
Any designer, by definition, has the crucial problem of achieving the objectives foreseen in the project. And unfortunately he has few reliable elements at his disposal to affirm with certainty that these objectives will be met. Perhaps he misses, in those moments of doubt, the advantage of those who work, for example, as electrical technicians who can, when they consider their work finished, flip a switch and check that "It works!"

Resumen
In October 2009, Surgenia presented, within the framework of the conference "The Legal Environment of Design. The legal protection of creativity", its Manual of Good Design Practices. A novel publication in the Andalusian community, where there were no contributions of this type that contributed to the knowledge of the professional practice of design of the economic agents of Andalusia. The first two are aimed at companies and the public administration, respectively, and the latter offers ideas and recommendations for professionals themselves, of special interest to those who are starting out in this practice.
