This article presents the transcription of the “Apuntes biográficos...” of the boy Ramón Claudio Briseño Villarreal, written by his father. Briseño’s father was a lawyer, professor and bibliographer. The document gives background and data about family life and education of the boy up to 12 years old.

Resumen
In the cases presented here from the end of the XVIIIth century concerning two midwives, one fi nds the action work of the juridical power as a representatives of medical knowledge used against two who have what might be considered traditional knowledge. These cases have received different historical interpretations. A review of these interpretations, as well as current debates, are exhibited next, followed by a transcription of the papers that compose these judicial pieces. The transcription and publication of these documents is to present to investigators, documents that have not received the proper attention in current historical debates.

Resumen
The next article is based on a complete historiografic review to demonstrate the strong economic relationships developed between Chilean and Bolivian businessmen between 1973 and 1990. The adoption of neoliberalism as a primary economic model, allowed the extension of such relation and create economy networks that tending to strengthen the external image of the Chilean military regime. In the 80`s, the business diplomacy was present in the state groups, taking risks aimed at externalizing a successful economic model for internal economic sectors. Although Chilean international isolation influenced its international relations, the economic networks that it was able to establish with Bolivia remained separate from political conflicts.

Resumen
This article seeks to outline the organization forms that developed among Chilean farmers during the fi rst year Allende´s government. It also tries to shed light on the relation that these forms of organization established with the government and the Unidad Popular’s policies, and to what extent the organizational process of the “consejos campesinos” was independent of the strategy drawn up by the political organizations present in the government, leading to the farmers´ political radicalization. At the same time it is an attempt to contribute to the debate about the peasant movement in its relation with Allende´s Government and the different phenomena that it generated within the left parties.

In this exposition we talk about the concept of the Manuel de Salas memoranda (1754-1841) written in Más a Tierra Island between 1814 and 1817, in the historical context of Chilean Independence, where we recognize the reasons that justify the right of liberty, which is demanded as a natural good for the people who work for the development and social peace of Chile.
