This research set out to understand the incidence of the ethical discourse of the Standards in Citizen Competencies, in the intersubjective relationships of the youth of the eleventh grade in their world of life in the city of Medellín. It corresponded to a qualitative study based on the analysis of the ethical discourse of the standards and the daily practices of some young people. Thus allowing to understand a little that world that is built from representations, senses and experiences, in themselves, these are the reflection of its reality. In addition, the rapprochement between what young people learn and experience in their daily lives in the different areas of the city was possible. It is significant to note that for the participants intersubjectivity and coexistence with the other plays a fundamental role in their citizenship training.

One of the current challenges in the educational context is to improve the appropriation of knowledge in the different subjects taught in the classroom, taking into consideration their complexity and the different ways of learning of today’s students. In this sense, gamification is a fundamental tool to enrich and appropriate in a better way the teaching and learning processes in the classroom, having as an advantage the increase of motivation and immersion of the students in the topics of the different courses. In the same order of ideas, companies also require the appropriation of knowledge in certain topics by their employees and customers, so the inclusion of gamification can contribute to improve their competitiveness in the market, hand in hand with innovation. According to the above, in this article we propose as a contribution the construction of an educational resource based on M-Learning and gamification to contribute to the appropriation of the process of construction and maintenance of aquaponic production systems by workers and customers of the company GREENFISH of the department of Cauca. The constructed resource was validated through the knowledge test, which showed a representative improvement in the number of participants who answered the questions correctly in the post-test with respect to the pre-test.

This article exposes the family functioning from Olson’s circumplex model in 20 families of the Cormoranes neighborhood, with cases of conflict and family violence, in the family police station. Its objective is to identify, know and establish the dimensions of cohesion, adaptability and communication understood according to Olson, as important factors for family functioning. For this purpose, Olson’s circumplex model is applied, supported by Valenzuela with his theory of the structure of the conflict and its resolution, which allows a critical look at the investigation of the nuclei and / or family systems, in addition to the interpretation from Social Work as a discipline. The research had a mixed approach, with a descriptive design. In the results obtained, it is observed that the highest rate of low-functional families is 89% and 11% of highly functional families. Taking into account the above, it is concluded that the families of the cormoranes neighborhood have an imbalance in their system of interaction, adaptation or way of facing situations of tension and the guiding means of conflict resolution around communication.

This hermeneutic study interpreted the methodological processes carried out by the teachers-advisors of the area of pedagogicalteaching practice of a degree program in Foreign Languages with emphasis in English, in a university in Colombia. The researchers used two information-gathering techniques, a 22-question survey for student-practitioners and an 8-question interview for teachers-advisors; both tools to assess the perceptions of these methodologies from three final categories that are: “Knowledge to teach”, “contexts”, “strategies and mechanisms in teaching”. In the findings, a positive balance is evident in those methodological processes implemented by teachers-practice advisors; likewise, based on the didactic foundations identified in the documentary analysis, there is a marked congruence between what students perceive and what their teachers say.

Variational thinking in primary basic education focuses on the study of patterns and variation, conceptual elements that are the basis for understanding algebra and calculus in higher grades. That is why it is essential that the basic education teacher fosters an enriched environment that allows the visualization, manipulation, and establishment of various assumptions about patterns and variation. In this sense, being the Scratch program a visual environment that allows the modeling of patterns and variables from the coding in blocks, this research developed during eight weeks, a sequence of pattern modeling activities, using the Scratch platform for the fifth grade of primary basic education. The objective was to provide evidence that allows us to understand how the use of technological resources linked to computational thinking can expand the objectification (awareness) of patterns. The methodology for the analysis of the strategy was mixed, taking quantitative data from the pre and post-test of pattern analysis, for a group of fifthgrade students (n = 40) and supporting them from a multimodal analysis of video records that show semiotics linked to variational reasoning. The quantitative results showed a difference in means between pre and post-tests, which are related to the improvement in the approach of simplified and efficient algorithms when the students objectified the patterns. These data suggest that the development of computational thinking activities linked to coding, from pattern recognition, can improve variational reasoning in elementary school students.

The purpose of this research was to generate a didactic model for the teaching and learning of mathematics with manipulative didactic materials for elementary school students in the official institutions of the municipality of Piedecuesta, Santander. For this purpose, it was considered fundamental to carry out an analysis of the conceptions that teachers have about the teaching and learning of mathematics, and based on these results, the categories that explained the practice from their ideas were defined. In the same way, the actions that teachers had in practice about the didactics they implemented were analyzed in order to make the theoretical proposal of a didactic model. Theoretically, the research was based on the considerations of Godino (2011), who conceives the didactics of mathematics as a science oriented to the design of processes. Epistemologically, the relationship between the cognizing subject and the object to be known was considered, framed from the paradigm and epistemological approach of qualitative scientific research of phenomenological character. The universe space was constituted by the classroom teachers of the basic primary education cycle, from whom information was collected through the application of a semi-structured interview. All this motivated the generation of a didactic model for the teaching and learning of mathematics with manipulative materials, leading to the construction of theoretical contributions for the strengthening of mathematics teaching based on teachers’ conceptions and pedagogical practices.

The number is a fascinating and endless concept that has been researched as a mathematical, psychological, and philosophical object. Numerous studies describe cognitively the ease and obstacles involved in acquiring cardinal numbers and ordinal numbers, but very few propose didactic strategies to achieve numerical learning. This research proposes a didactic strategy for learning with meaning the concept of number based on semiotic representations of graphic type, symbolic and semantic results obtained as a result of a longitudinal study for three consecutive years with the same preschool population from 3 to 5 years explained with multiple examples so that teachers can design and apply activities.

This research aims to identify opportunities for business short-cycle programs in higher education to cope with needs, challenges, organizational trends as well as the chances for the self-development of specific and crosscurricular competences in education. It takes into consideration good practices from countries such as Germany, United Kingdom, China, Japan, Chile and Brazil. On the other hand, it analyses the capabilities and difficulties to fit the country labor market. As a result, five relevant aspects are identified, namely environmental management, innovation and creativity, applied technology, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and internationalization. In addition, literature review on the education levels as well as field work may allow to prioritize some cross-curricular competences which are highly regarded by employers and business short-cycle programs alumni.
