This article presents an experience in the classroom, which is the product of an investigation with the purpose that 10th grade students of a private educational institution in Tunja would come to understand the mathematical object ellipse coordinating the semiotic representation registers, such as: the algebraic, graphic and verbal registers. The study was based on Duval’s Theory of Semiotic Representation Registers (1999), with a qualitative approach, where didactic engineering (Artigue, 1995) was used as a methodology to achieve the proposed objectives. Regarding the experimental phase, didactic sequences mediated by Geogebra software, the theory of semiotic representation registers and the theory of didactic situations were used. Among the main results of the research, it was observed that the students were able to coordinate the pictorial and natural language registers, as well as the algebraic register with the graphic register

This study focuses on teachers’ experiences on assessing out-of-class teamwork. These teachers teach courses of component of the research of the B. Ed English Language Teaching Programs at eight public universities in Mexico. The aim was to explore how teachers assessed and reflected on the modes of assessment and strategies they used to assign a grade to out-ofclass teamwork. In addition, whether they were satisfied with the outcomes they obtained or how they solved the challenges they faced. This work is framed within the qualitative paradigm because it allows us to account for experiences, emotions and situations narrated by teachers and allows us to interpret and explain their experiences (Cohen, Manion, & Morrison, 2011). For data collection, a semi-structure interview was designed and implemented in 8 educational contexts of the following public universities: UJED, UNISON, UGTO, UNACH, BUAP, UAQro, UDG, UATlax. The research method was through a case study because the experiences that teachers live with respect to how to ensure fairness and positive washback when grading each team member, it could be reflected in other educational contexts where challenges are also faced when assessing the process and product of out-of-class teamwork.

The objective of this work is the inclusion of new trends in the curriculum of a Professional Program in Sports, seeking their formalization from a methodological, pedagogical and didactic structure, with evaluative actions based on learning environments typical of each new trend. The work is methodologically based on the pedagogical triangle method and the didactics of problem-based action. The information was collected through the survey, the focus groups and the documentary review. Within the results of the research, it was found that there is an absence of inter-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary work in the areas, which leads to the repetition of contents and contradictions in the positions of the teachers that affect the formative process of the students. . It can be concluded that the implementation of a proposal that includes the new technologies and innovations of the fourth industrial revolution that the world is experiencing today, makes possible specific competences for the professional performance in sports, responding to social needs and cultural transformations

This paper presents the study and analysis of the thermal and optical efficiency of a disk collector with a Stirling engine located in the city of Armenia, Colombia, used to produce electrical energy. The implementation of a 65 cm diameter parabolic disk solar concentrator with a small Stirling engine was carried out. Weekly tests were carried out, measuring the reflector temperature, absorber temperature, ambient temperature and solar radiation between 9 am and 3 pm for 5 months. The thermal and optical efficiency and the power generated by the collector were calculated. Likewise, an automatic solar tracking system was developed based on linear actuators controlled by an Arduino board, in order to obtain a higher concentration of incident radiation. The average solar radiation was 626 W/m2 and an average thermal efficiency of 39,6% was obtained, while the optical efficiency was 33%, values compared with disk collectors reported in the literature.

This article seeks to elaborate an analysis of Reinaldo Arenas’ Final de un cuento published in Mariel Revista de Literatura y Arte, a magazine released initially between 1983 and 1985 in Florida and New York, with some subsequent special publications. We defend the centrality of the short story genre to understand the politics of writing structured in the publication, of which Arenas was also a fundamental editor. The author's text is read especially based on the construction of space, in relation to the narrator's perspective, focusing on the idea of border and Foucault's concept of heterotopia. Finally, it seeks to understand the counterpart of space: time. In this sense, the border is understood as space, and the response to it – or urgency, as time and temporal construction of this short story.

This paper analyzes and interprets the photographic images in the story Fotos from Roberto Bolaño’s volume Putas asesinas (2001). The theoretical-aesthetic perspective with which these images are analyzed allows us to problematize the poetics of abjection evidenced in images included in other works by the author and to demonstrate that photographic emulsions are potentially capable of speaking to us of luminous zones. The photographs of the people portrayed become vertebral since they sustain the story; they look and speak transfigured into an other and, in a sort of animist fabulation, acquire the status of a character. The acquisition of this status enables and activates the dialogue between the images and the protagonist as well as between the characters and the reader/observer. The dialectical relationship resignifies the images by going deeper into areas of memory in an atmosphere of renewed nostalgia and melancholy; it suspends abjection and leads us into a discreetly luminous territory within Bolaño's work.

The objective of this research is to determine intercultural elements' implementation´s impact to enhance integral education and improve foreign languages learning experience, specifically, English. The research was virtually performed in synchronous sessions due to Covid-19 during the second term in 2021 at Programa Institucional de Idiomas para el Trabajo (PIT). PIT is the academic unit responsible for languages teaching in different technical majors at Universidad Técnica Nacional (UTN). The research included a total of 87 participants; whose conversational level ranked from A1 to B1. The proposal was carried out through an action-research methodology focused on qualitative and quantitative analysis. The study was carried for a total of fourteen weeks, six of those weeks were selected to implement several strategies. English was used in contextualized scenarios that encouraged knowledge reflection of intercultural aspects of Costa Rica and English-speaking countries. The results showed positive opinions regarding the impact of integrating intercultural elements to increase the interest in participation and second language acquisition.
