The most commonly purchased over-the-counter pain relievers, called over-the-counter or non-prescription painkillers, are sodium dipyrone, paracetamol and aspirin. Such drugs are almost always used as self-medication, and their indications and adverse effects must be carefully considered. The aim of this study is to compare the properties, indications, adverse effects and dosages of these analgesics. This research presents a Comparative Study, carried out through bibliographic research. The results were presented in tables, from which it can be concluded that the three analgesics have different properties but similar therapeutic action, and the choice for one of them is mainly based on personal taste. However, although its sale is free and does not require the presentation of a medical prescription, its use does not dispense care and pharmaceutical guidance at the risk of its use harming the patient's health, even in the short term.

Objective: To understand, based on recent literature, the correlation of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) with Insulin Resistance (IR) identifying risk factors for the onset of Metabolic Syndrome (MS). Method: This is a narrative literature review study with a qualitative approach. The literary survey was conducted in the following databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). Results and Discussion: IR plays a significant role in the etiopathogenesis of PCOS, in addition, excess fat ends up promoting the worsening of IR, generating complications both in metabolic dysfunction and in reproductive and hyperandrogenic characteristics. Conclusion: It is concluded that PCOS is linked to metabolic endocrine changes, associating IR as the main link between PCOS and MS. On the other hand, some factors contribute to the onset of MS, which should be evaluated in regular exams for an early diagnosis.

This review aims to identify key findings regarding the optimal protein supply required to stimulate nitrogen balance and positive nitrogen balance in critically ill adult patients. This is an integrative review study, with the inclusion of 4 original articles selected from PubMed and Cochrane databases. The data were synthesized and organized in a table. The main findings evidenced are that a higher protein intake is associated with better results in nitrogen balance, lower mortality and increased survival. It is concluded that all studies included in this review agreed that a greater increase in protein supply stimulated positive nitrogen balance, however the ideal amount of protein intake is still controversial in the literature, indicating a gap for future research

Introduction. The confinement policy during the health emergency brought with it significant changes within higher education institutions, particularly the learning processes had to generate adaptations aimed at the virtual modality, which generated opportunities and challenges that the institutions had to face being the student and teaching community the most vulnerable to decisions and therefore had impacts on performance and performance. Target. In this vein, the objective of this study is to identify the conditions of higher education institutions to promote the virtual modality, considering for this theoretical clues that contribute to establish the benefits for students and teachers. Materials and methods. The research has a quantitative approach of a descriptive-explanatory nature, locating the theoretical relationship with the practical needs recovered from a sample of 70 university students from a public university in Mexico. Results. Main actions are proposed to be considered by institutions for the implementation of virtual modalities, as well as strategies that can be adapted to the teaching communities through diagnosis and the generation of critical accompaniment routes derived from the data obtained by the dialogue between students. teachers and authorities. Conclusion. The diagnosis is considered as a fundamental part of the technology implementation strategy as well as the active participation of the actors involved in the educational process to recognize the challenges, opportunities and concerns that result from the emergent implementation of curricular adaptations, methodologies and consequently the development of technology to support teaching, recognizing the role of student, teacher and even parents in order to legitimize institutional actions.

The analysis shows that the vast majority of countries frame their process of evaluating the quality of higher education based on standards, i.e. with areas, criteria and indicators adapted to local or regional contexts. It should be noted that the criteria of relevance, organization, professors, curriculum and students are common in many of the cases studied, while the other criterion holds that the analysis of quality should be done by models and through the use of variables and dimensions that tend to be more specific at the time of evaluation, regardless of the path chosen for the evaluation process, it is positive, from every point of view, to know in what conditions an institution is in, even more so if the field is educational and also because they direct us to the decision making and actions that must be taken after being notified of the result, it is possible after the process to choose the appropriate corrective measures that will be applied in the improvement plan. In addition, this article considers in a practical way the author's experience in several years as director of the career Pedagogy of Experimental Sciences of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Guayaquil, Ecuador, and that he is immersed in evaluating each and every one of the criteria in the process of accreditation and educational quality assurance

The evaluation is a regulatory practice of the individual and joint activity of the faculty and students in the teaching/learning process, helping decisively to shape the educational process, improve it and provide feedback. Under this context, the results of the exploratory research of the evaluation process of the faculty and student body of the Marine Biology career of the Peninsula Santa Elena State University, during the 2017-II academic period, are presented. The objective of the work consisted of identifying the perception of the student body during the process of evaluating the performance of the faculty, conducting a literature review to define the basic concepts of the evaluation, and the analysis of the diagnostic instruments developed by technical-academic staff of the MEVALAP project applied in a sample of 120 students and 20 teachers of the career. The results were grouped and categorized according to items related to the fulfillment of objectives, procedures and results of the evaluation practice, where the perceptions and expectations of teachers and students are evaluated. It was identified that the written test is the tool most used by teachers as an evaluative teaching-learning strategy, remaining as a traditional strategy. Based on these inferences, some reflections on the learning evaluation strategies proper to the academic dynamics of the course are presented, which will allow correcting the weaknesses of the evaluative activities applied by the teaching staff.
