Summary Within the tourism activities, the knowledge of culture has become one of the main reasons that attract visitors to country, so that cultural heritage can be an attraction that enhances the different products offered to customers. Such is the case of the heritage value of the bridges in Matanzas, which are not properly exploited for tourism purposes. Precisely, the corresponding research addressed how a tourism management project for the cultural heritage of the bridges of Matanzas, specifically the bridges of La Concordia, Calixto García and Sánchez Figueras, can contribute to the revaluation of this cultural heritage. In this study, reference is made to the theoretical and conceptual aspects of heritage and its relationship with tourism, cultural heritage, bridges as part of heritage, tourist routes, tourism management of cultural heritage and heritage tourism management projects. Qualitative methodology was used as a basis, through phenomenology. The research techniques used were: non-participant observation and document analysis. As a result of the research, a cultural heritage management project was designed, consisting of a tourist route called "The bridges of Matanzas, more than a link'', which revalorises the cultural heritage.

Introduction: Plastic (polyethylene) is an important ally in the daily life of human beings; however, its use and excessive accumulation has generated a serious environmental problem. Objective: This research seeks to develop a biodegradable material based on chickpea starch with characteristics like plastic that can potentially be used as a coating for food. Methodology: A literature review was carried out to determine the extraction method of chickpea starch, selecting the wet method. A two-factor experimental design with two factors, starch weight (g) and volume of distilled water (mL), was carried out and 1.5 mL of glycerin (plasticizer) and 4 mL of acetic acid (chemical modifier) were added to each treatment. The mechanical properties of bioplastics are tested under NTE INEN 2635:2012 Test methods for tensile properties of thin films and their biodegradability under Technical Standard INEN 2643:2012. Specifications for compostable plastics. Results: The starch was characterized by physicochemical tests: 19% amylose, 81% amylopectin, 4.53 pH, 39249 mPas viscosity, 60ºC gelatinization temperature and 4.82 solubility index. The bioplastic formulation with better mechanical properties is constituted by: 3.5 % (1.5 mL) glycerin, 9.5 % (4 mL) acetic acid, 3.5 % (1.5 g) chickpea starch and 83.5 % (35 mL) distilled water. The selected biopolymer presents high aqueous biodegradability and physical characteristics: 4.9 Mpa modulus of elasticity, 24.2 % elongation, 2.8 N maximum load, 1 Mpa maximum stress.  Conclusion: The bioplastic obtained from chickpea starch presents mechanical properties comparable to low density polyethylene films and biodegradable properties that allow its use in food wrapping.

Introduction. In recent years, multiple environmental certification systems have been established to combat and reduce pollution generated by the construction industry. This is a key issue to improve energy consumption, so new buildings are consolidated worldwide, and it represents a challenge for their implementation in small-scale heritage buildings and daily uses, such as those existing in the Historic Center of Cuenca (Ecuador). Objective. Generate a methodological proposal for energy certification for heritage buildings of environmental value, capable of integrating with the rehabilitation criteria established for this type of building. Methodology. The review and evaluation of indicators and criteria established in the LEED-H, BREEAM, VERDE and QH&E certifications are used, together with the characterization of the case study, and the factors of the physical environment. Results. What is determined; A home belonging to the VA heritage value category, with respect to the perception of its occupants, has a deficit in its lighting, as well as in comfort due to temperature due to the characterization of the materials that do not provide sufficient thermal transmittance for the proper passage of the heat in the home, which is reflected in the final energy consumption of 425.97 kWh / month / dwelling unit. Finally, the methodological proposal scheme makes it possible to reconcile energy certification with heritage rehabilitation. Conclusion. The analysis concludes that energy consumption in buildings is high due to current use, in addition, the wide diversity of buildings requires a flexible methodological scheme that allows each building to be studied according to its own parameters and guide its certification.

It is necessary to transfer science and technology in the improvement of agricultural productions, to the producers of the Ecuadorian Andean region, and to improve the commercialization of their productions. The objective of this research is to provide a model for the improvement of matico and nettle products in their processing. Experimental drying of the plants was carried out in a tray tunnel type electric dryer at temperatures of 45 C, 55 C, and 65 C with a duration of 6 hours for a temperature of 45 C, 5 hours for 55 C, and 4 hours for 65 C , each experiment with 4 repetitions. Exploratory, descriptive, explanatory studies are adopted. They appeal to statistical-mathematical, inductive-deductive, expert methods, analysis, and synthesis of sources. The results in the determination of the drying ratio of matico and nettle was used the mathematical model of the characteristic curve based on the equation y = Ax + B; obtaining values for nettle of A = -0.0006x2-0.0704x + 1.9485 and B = -0.007x-0.0136; for the case of the matico A = -0.0007x2-0.0793x + 2.25 and B = -0.007x-0.0184 in all equations, x, represents the drying temperature. These equations obtained values from which the drying ratio was formulated with the equation RS = ln (mr) -A / B, which is determined at a moisture content of 12% to 14%. These demonstrate the viability of the model and its immediate application. It concludes in socializing producers of the province and the Ecuadorian highlands region this drying model.

Introduction: To solve many problems in the field of maintenance management and Reliability in Physical Assets is solved by analyzing data through statistical processes, one of these applications is the Distribution of Weibull. Objective: The present study aims to quote some of the Weibull distribution applications and its use in the field of reliability. Applying the Weibull distribution versatility, the calculation model of the reliability estimators for repairable and non-repairable equipment is presented, therefore the method of least squares is used, considering the Weibull bi-parametric equation. Methodology: A sample of 119 failures of forty generator sets of the same mark was used, the steps for calculating the distribution parameters with the method of least squares using Excel software are clearly described, the probability density functions, cumulative failure probability, survival, and instantaneous failure rate were plotted, finally several test times were evaluated to demonstrate future estimates of reliability. As a second application of resolving the time of the Reliability equation R(t) it is possible to obtain for a certain failure mode the change frequency time of a replaceable asset after the occurrence of a failure.  The third application is the third parameter of the Weibull distribution determination  with a graphical method, for which a sample of 130 failures was taken, data grouping was initially used through the class ranges defined in a frequency history, then random values close to the first fault were selected to test them by contrasting data between the last data of each class range with each of the estimated data, when graphing them, it is determined which of them best approximates a straight line. Result: three applications were obtained where the Weibull distribution is applied, different databases were used for the analysis of each case. Conclusions: The Weibull distribution is very adaptable, it can cover other distributions such as exponential and normal distributions, it can also work whit little or a lot of data, based on its multiple applications have been developed in the field of Reliability.
