The concept of sustainable development implies seeking a balance between exploitation and protection of the Earth's resources in an attempt to preserve our basis for living. Sustainable development must satisfy people’s present needs without jeopardizing future generations’ chances of satisfying theirs. Among architects, the concept of sustainable architecture emerged from various social interests based on various interpretations of the problem and characterized by quite a number of different pathways, each pointing to sustainable solutions as responses to the climate crisis. Architects' diverse views on sustainable architecture have become a battleground for ‘the right attitudes’ - artistic schools of thought and cultural movements with competing logics of sustainability. In this respect, the role of the architect and the choice of sustainable logic become central to the design process of sustainable architecture - and also to the development of Danish social housing. Various incentives have helped influence sustainability in a Danish context, for instance in site conditions, sustainable technologies, infrastructure, facilities, financing and social ideals. Since the energy crisis of the 1970s, the development of sustainable social housing in Denmark has also been influenced by various pathways in this fluid system of changing logics, values and beliefs as social responses to the climate crisis.

Women studies in architecture have been inspired by different ways of thinking, which can be summarized in four ‘paradigms’: difference thinking, equality thinking, constructionist thinking and intersectionalist thinking. By revising seminal books, articles and exhibitions, this paper explores the historiographical dilemmas and challenges that narrating women architects’ histories involves, focusing on two of the most relevant ones: the question of authorship and the canonical understanding of the architecture as the design of new architectural objects. The paper discusses the impact of women studies in art on the methodologies used in narrating women architects, but also presents the differences that should be taken into account when exploring the work of women artist and architects.

In this time, full of unusual episodes, pillars are soughing to create and bequeath distinct heritage to successive generations, here in the focus of created forms and solutions, environment, material culture, values, human respect, and concepts. The analyses aim at critical and fostering renewed bases, capable of envisioning a diverse future. It is urgent to review wrong hereditary means, which elevate the Nodes sand discriminate against the Others. Changing or improving what we received can outline a solar, luminous, fair, and equitable tomorrow for a broad social spectrum. On the contrary, inheritance is chosen among those goods at its disposal, deriving an active link between heredity and inheritance, the focus of this reflection.

Cities will transform and morph into something completely different for the next generation. Just as the car replaced the horse, the car will shortly be replaced, because of fossil fuel, and with, it the road system that exists in towns and cities everywhere. The high street is also under stress as more and more of us use on-line shopping, meaning that they are littered with second-hand shops and coffee take-away. However, cities are popular and will continue to grow, especially as more and more people are displaced due to climate change and weather disasters. The following is a rambling through these thoughts about what might just happen.

Introduction: Mental disorders are very frequent in older adults, during the COVID 19 pandemic, this disease has been exacerbated and increasing the vulnerability of this group by modifying their lifestyles. Objective: The objective of this review is to establish and summarize the existing information related to mental health in the elderly during the COVID 19 pandemic. Materials and methods: A systematic review of indexed journals, PubMed, PMC, Elsevier, SciELO was conducted to select scientific articles with relevant content. Results: It has been identified that a significant percentage of older adults suffer from mental health problems. More than 20% of people over 60 years of age suffer from a mental or neural disorder (not counting those manifested by headache) and 6.6% of disability in this age group is attributed to mental disorders and of the nervous system. In short, the crisis because of the pandemic has generated anxiety, depressive, adaptation disorders, whose cognitive and emotional symptoms demand attention, which is why it is necessary to develop strategies to promote personal and community mental health. Conclusions: when human beings reach old age, they present many health problems, which makes it difficult to respond positively to stressors with grave consequences in the bio-psycho-social field. Dementia and depression are the most common neuro-psychiatric disorders at this age, all these factors increase the mortality rate.

Introduction: Among hereditary hemolytic anemias, hereditary spherocytosis (HS) is the one that occurs most frequently. Autosomal dominant (AD) and autosomal recessive (AR) inheritance patterns account for 75% and 25% of all HS cases, respectively. The prevalence of HS varies among different racial and ethnic regions, affecting approximately 1 in 2,000 people in Northern Europe, North America, and Japan, but is less common in African Americans and Southeast Asia. Cholestatic syndrome is usually one of the most common complications and occurs in patients between 10 and 30 years of age, although younger patients can also present it and cholecystectomy is a safe and effective radical treatment for this pathology. Objective: To describe the clinical evolution and the surgical management of the patient with spherocytosis who develops a cholestatic syndrome as one of the most frequent complications of this pathology. Materials and methods: The theoretical support of this clinical case, corresponding to the most updated information up to 5 years ago, was obtained through the literature search and access to scientific articles, books, magazines, and other physical and virtual documents through of professional seekers in the field of health. Conclusions: The evolution of the complications of hereditary spherocytosis, especially cholestatic syndrome, led to several days of hospital stay, but in most cases, they are usually resolved favorably in this case by means of laparoscopic cholecystectomy, satisfactory results were obtained and discharge. 22 days after admission.

The exponential development of immunohistochemistry has become a fundamental piece for the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of different pathologies, for this reason, the knowledge of histotechnology processing will allow the timely detection of those variables in the phases of the process that influence the expression of immunomarkers that would generate diagnostic errors, loss of economic and biological resources. OBJECTIVE: to establish the preanalytical handling conditions: fixative pH, fixation time, previous time without fixation, in the expression of immunohistochemical markers. METHODS: an updated documentary review of publications in the database of indexed journals PUBMED and others was carried out in relation to the pre-analytical process, tissue processing in the Pathological Anatomy laboratory, immunohistochemical technique, relationship between the result of markers of Immunohistochemistry and variations in fixative pH, fixation times and times prior to fixation since 2011, obtaining 57 publications which were consolidated and presented in this study. CONCLUSION: the importance of the pre-analytical process in its different phases is demonstrated, and its effect to obtain adequate lamellae for a correct analysis. Optimum fixation and fixation times at pH are vital in the pre-analytical phase.

Introduction: Urinary incontinence is the involuntary loss of urine and represents a common medical condition in the elderly, although it can also affect younger adult men and women. In addition, it is considered one of the most common public health problems among women. mainly affecting those who are in the postmenopausal period, so it is important to determine an effective treatment for this disorder. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of urinary continence re-education in postmenopausal women. Methodology: A qualitative bibliographic review based on studies found in Cochrane, academic Google, Medline, Scielo and Blogs on issues related to urinary incontinence, especially that which occurs as a consequence of menopause in women, as well as techniques and methods of reeducation to minimize the negative effects of this condition. Results: The main objective of urinary continence re-education is to strengthen the pelvic floor to improve function and to reinforce surgical procedures to prevent relapses, applying techniques such as bladder control training, Kegel exercises, biofeedback, vaginal cones and electrostimulation, forming a comprehensive rehabilitation training that also includes physiotherapy and behavioral therapy, in order to reduce this condition and improve the quality of life of affected patients. Conclusions: The re-education of urinary continence through the various techniques analyzed is considered the most effective treatment for the control of this condition, especially as a therapeutic alternative in postmenopause, by significantly reducing urinary losses and, consequently, promoting the improvement of self-esteem and quality of life.
